Fox News Media has canceled "Lou Dobbs Tonight," the program hosted by television's staunchest supporter of Donald Trump and of his assertions of voter fraud in the 2020 election, The Times has learned. Dobbs' program, which airs twice nightly at 5 and 7 p.m. Eastern on the Fox Business Network, will have its final airing Friday, according to a Fox News representative who confirmed the cancellation. Starting next week, the program will be called "Fox Business Tonight," with rotating substitute hosts Jackie DeAngelis and David Asman, who filled in for Dobbs on Friday. Dobbs, 75, remains under contract at Fox

Comments:

Fox seems to hope they can succeed by moving to the far left but they are starting too far behind CNN and MSNBC. Bye bye Fox.

Lou Dobbs has been a must watch for us for years. What is Fox thinking? Most Fox News is unwatchable, with Cavuto leading the pack. We watch Fox Business for Bartiromo and Varney and then go elsewhere for news. We are getting ready to make OAN our go-to network. I hope he resurfaces on another network.

I won't bother even with Varney any longer. Fox is really down the drain faster than a speeding bullet. What is this creep Ryan thinking??? No matter how left they go, real lefties will never trust them. I hope they will totally disintegrate and disappear altogether. Perhaps President Trump and a few other right wingers will start their own right wing TV station! 76 million people will be watching!!!

Lou Dobbs has been on “vacation” since Wednesday, so there has been something going on there. Maria Bartiromo is also mentioned in the Smartmatic lawsuit so I think she is probably next to be fired. I’ll be curious to see if she is on this coming Sunday Morning. And I see Tucker Carlson is on vacation tonight.

Someone told me this week that conservatives are in fetal position looking for "someone" to come and deliver them and the country from its demise. I disagreed --- but now I see post #1 and think my opinion was wrong; there's too many of these out there. Earth to everyone: There isn't anyone who's going to come and deliver you. The Messiah is not here (yet). The only person who can correct the mess is YOU. It took years to create and nurture the insanity, as you call it; it takes more effort to fix it. Tearing down is the easy part; rebuilding is the hard one. Get moving; stop looking for anyone. Look in the mirror and get busy.

Lou has been unique in that no FOX anchor challenged the GOPe swamp as much as Democrats. Unlike Sean, Lou interrupted Republican lawmakers & party strategists & Ronna McDaniel when they wanted to come on and do the whine-o-rama talking points on Democrats. He expected them to respond to what THEY were planning to DO about it. He made unprepared spinners look very foolish. Republican leaders never came on his program for a reason. He went out fighting. I so respect him for never backing down on the powerful elites at all.

Lou Dobbs is a patriot who objected to corruption in our immigration system, our Intelligence community, and our 2020 presidential election. Fox News clearly does not want him, or anyone else, raising questions about how President Trump “lost” the election, when HE was the candidate willing to put Americans first. Biden and Harris want free medical care for illegals...something American citizens don’t get. They want our daughters competing for sports scholarships against men who claim to be women. That kind of thinking is harmful to Americans because it is dishonest. I am sad to see Fox abandon the integrity it once stood for, along with the Americans it once stood with. Fox has taken sides against middle America.

Kamala Harris is under some kind of pressure. It's hard to say what, given the working thesis (first seen in a tweet by Newt Gingrich) that Joe Biden appointed her to the position of border czar because he knew she would do nothing. In a Monday social media post, Clinton likened the left’s radical attempt to overhaul U.S. election — stripping states of basic election safeguards such as voter ID — to “preserving America’s democracy.” “Preserving America’s democracy shouldn’t be a partisan issue. But the fact is that Republican-led legislatures have enacted at least 22 news laws this year restricting access to voting,” she claimed alongside a map from the Brennan Center for Justice.
