I’m not a daytime watcher of Fox News, but as an always-on television is within earshot, I do tend to be a bit of a detached daytime listener. As such, I have been mystified by the one-eighty degree turn of Fox legal analyst, Judge Andrew Napolitano, away from being an ardent Trump supporter to a constant critic (snip) Trump tweeted this: “Ever since Andrew came to my office to ask that I appoint him to the U.S. Supreme Court, and I said NO, he has been very hostile! Also asked for pardon for his friend.

I too have noticed that Napolitano has "turned" against the president. But even before that I noticed that when he was offering his legal opinion on certain things he would come up with a theory and then extrapolate off that theory as if it were fact. I´ve often wondered if something like that be allowed in a court of law.

i will admit Napolitano would be a more thoughtful Supreme than say RBG, the unfortunate-looking Kagan or the wise Latina. But then, so would I and I ain’t even a lawyer. Napolitano is a creature of emotion and self interest. Fox should ease him out and replace him.

I suspected he was a never-Trumper from his remarks. I learned to turn him off and now when I watch the morning F&F he and Geraldo are muted or turned off. Nap the “judge” is part of the Fox plan to change it from semi-conservative to democratic leaning. It’s been downhill since Ailes left.

3 Supreme Court decisions ruled in favor of President Trump, did the Judge ever admit he was wrong or confess he applied for a job with Trump? No!

I read the Judge´s column about why Trump did obstructed justice as a confirmation of his transformation. There were four considerations which someone in his position could not ignore but deliberately. 1. There is no underlying crime. 2.There is no specific obstructive act. Only a theoretical discussion of what he (Trump) MIGHT have been thinking.3. Full cooperation and complete transparency demolishing any valid claim of corrupt intent. 4. The (possible) similarity in words and response between an innocent man fighting being framed and a guilty individual intent on covering his crimes. The judge has gone over to the dark side.

Never thought highly of him, even before he turned.
And I don´t understand why Fox thinks his opinion is anything special. As far as I know, Napolitano´s highest legal achievement was serving as a superior court judge in NJ ... that´s fine, but hardly distinguishing.
Someone like Jonathan Turley, though he too leans to the Left, is more likely to impress me on matters of national and constitutional import.

So, it appears the rumors that Napolitano was being considered for a Trump appointment to SCOTUS originated with the Judge himself. When looking at his career history, it doesn´t appear he is exceptionally qualified. He did serve on the NJ Superior Court for a few years before resigning to go into private practice. Also, I didn´t know he has never married. Hmm. That might be one reason the president wasn´t excited about joining that particular debate.

Ann Coulter probably wanted to be grabbed and wasn´t.
Krauthammer was another guy who transformed but the opposite way, being a never Trumper before the election but switching when he put his finger up in the wind.
After seeing Trump in action against Congress, the FBI, and the world´s most powerful leaders, there should be no further question concerning his abilities and his actions unless you are a closet communist.

I´m not a lawyer but I wouldn´t be so quick to dismiss obstruction of justice based on the lack of a predicate crime alone.
In an honest set of circumstances where there is an appearance of a crime resulting in an investigation, why would it be legal to obstruct that investigation? If I get pulled over for speeding and the radar was broken I don´t get to refuse to cooperate with officer friendly.
There was no obstruction because there was no obstruction, not because the concept of obstructing an unjustified investigation is impossible. It isn´t obstruction to have thoughts of taking action you didn´t take and if it´s a crime to call a witch hunt a witch hunt then we are all doomed. Which one of us with such a platform could keep from uttering a word of complaint for being persecuted for something we knew didn´t happen. They might as well lock us all up right now if that´s the case.
As for Nap, I´d disappointed to discover he is not a man of principle, I will shut him off just as I do far too many others. His positions no longer have value to me he has completely discredited himself.

Over the years, I´ve seldom agreed with him on anything. Basically, he´s a liberal Democrat from New Jersey trying to pretend he was an Independent to appeal to the viewers. It didn´t work for me. I could hear the lack of conviction and wishy washy tone in his voice. He was a flaming liberal. So now he´s taken off the mask.
Perhaps, this was a corporate decision with Fox since Judge Jeanine is their hard line judge on the Right. Now Fox could be fair and balanced with him on the Left. Though, he´s not the right choice for the job. He´s not that good of a judge and the viewers are not interested in hearing from judges on the Left, except for Alan Dershowitz.
What irritated me most about him was when he proclaimed that Christine Blasey Ford´s testimony was a credible during the Kavanaugh debacle. What!
That was the last I wanted to hear from this overrated clown pretending to be a judge. Imagine him thinking he was supreme court eligible.

So .... never married Judge Nap and Sam the Sham are friends? Really? With or without benefits? And they have a mutual "friend" who needs a pardon. H-m-m-m.
Who is it and why does the "friend" need a Presidential pardon? The crime, please.
And thinking you could go from traffic ticket court to SCOTUS is laughable and ... as lawyers would say ... prima facie evidence of non-qualification.
All this needs to be exposed under full disclosure!

We all know that POTUS has been using a prepared list of 25 names of potential nominees to the SCOTUS.
Napolitano was never on that list...!
This is a phony excuse to continue hiding the fact that Judge Nap crossed the Murdochs by blaming ´Five Eyes´ for illegal spying several years ago...he´s been making amends to the family, ever since then.
In addition, Joseph DeGenova recently stated that FISA abuse is where it all begins...wrong Joe! FISA abuse was to ´cover-up´ the illegal FIVE Eyes abuse that was being carried out for years before Carter Page and FISA became part of today´s lexicon.

As an aside to #4, it´s a little known fact that you do not need to be judge nor a lawyer to be appointed to the Supreme Court!
It has been so interesting to see those who Trump reveals in their duplicity. Not surprising that Judge "Wolfman" Nap is one of those creatures. He´ll most likely wind up on MSNBC in the near future.

It´s shocking and very disappointing that Rupert Murdoch´s sons are morphing Fox News into another MSNBC and CNN. They will regret this insane move once OAN and NewsMax step up their formats (they may need big outside money to do this) and then lure true conservative Fox superstars away from that devolving channel.
