Pope Francis has donated 500,000 dollars to assist migrants in Mexico. The funds, from the Peter’s Pence collections, will be distributed among 27 projects promoted by sixteen Mexican dioceses and religious congregations, which requested assistance in continuing to provide food, lodging, and basic necessities to the migrants. According to a statement from Peter’s Pence, “In recent months, thousands of migrants have arrived in Mexico, having travelled more than 4,000 kilometres on foot and with makeshift vehicles from Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala. Men and women, often with young children, flee poverty and violence, hoping for a better future in the United

No mention of the criminal element that´s behind all this, the financial backing given by them. Also no mention of rape, sex trafficking, drugs, or the fact that many of these people are not families at all, but people who have taken somebody else´s children to pretend to be a family. No mention of cartels. Where does the pope get his information?

If helping the poor is so important to him, why didn´t he donate that cash to these people back when they were in Honduras?

As a catholic, I am infuriated even more by this man. We should load a C-130 with all of them and dump them in Vatican City.

Let me get this straight: The Pope gives monies that were solicited from and donated by good Catholics, principally American Catholics, to a narco-funded group of illegal border jumpers, a group that seeks to undermine the sovereignty of the United States.
Why doesn´t His "Holiness" send a half dozen Alitalia jets to Tijuana to pick them up, take them to Italy, and care for them in the Pope´s many estates? (Pax to Catholic L-Dotters for the scare quotes, but really.)
This Pope is a flaming hypocrite. The State Department ought to tell the Holy See to either take in refugees themselves, or just butt out. The Pope is not infallible in such a matter, and he´s clearly out of line. Over to you, Secretary Pompeo...

We need to start pushing illegals across the line & into the Vatican. Then demand the pope take care of them. Then keep pushing in hundreds & thousands to rub his face into it.

If I still attended Mass (but I don´t) I would drop a polite note into the collection basket on Sunday explaining exactly why I am no longer donating money to the church.

The Pope obviously is looking to dry up about half the contributions from USA parishioners to the Catholic Church in the USA.
There used to be an old adage that this socialist Pope must have forgot “ What is G-d’s Is G-d’s, and what is Cesar’s is Cesar’s”.
So in keeping with the legitimate constitution and laws of a nation state, it is clear in this case that it is the responsibility of the President of the USA to defend the US borders against the unlawful entry of illegal aliens, along with smuggled contraband, and very dangerous illicit narcotics.
The Pope should be sending aid to people in need in their home countries, and not to assist foreign peoples who intend to violate US laws.

How about instead of sending money to support illegal immigration into the U.S., how about the Vatican send money to buy effing plane tickets to Italy and move them all into the Vatican.

We have to wonder which of the untold thousands of non-Catholic Christian denominations rates the #1 spot.

And if I hear him gripe about the US building walls, I would like to remind him of the giant wall surrounding the Vatican. He should be inundated with these unskilled leeches and see how long his charity lasts.

When this Pope, who has previously said he has no clue how to judge certain sins, and by the way non-Christians can get to heaven by following their conscience, pronounced free-market capitalism to be "evil", many of us knew he was saying America is an "evil country", and Americans like you are "evil people". Again, he left the door open. He said our President was not a Christian because he wants a wall of protection to keep the world out, and to keep our citizens safe. Which is his main job, unless doing his job is evil. By funding illegals -- probably many Catholics -- I suggest Francis is wittingly or not a real and present danger. By funding he is saying to "opportunists" everywhere that he supports their decision to invade, and by invading, to overthrow evil, and he implies they also have the moral high ground to do it. Do not be surprised as the election looms closer, he will take sides, which means he will be seen ex cathedra condemning Trump, thus "blessing" any opponent. OK, maybe not. If I´m right, you´ll forget anyway. And he may be what many see, a Marxist dope who means well, but trips all over Scripture,so he makes up his own. He did well for having been a bouncer. On the other hand, we are in the last days, and he may be the last Pope, the cloaked but rabid narcissist playing his wicked game. If it is the latter, consider he has to know his dream of a world government, and one world Church of Frank, cannot rise until America is broken without remedy. Those of us who are still sane are getting old. But we have our salvation, and we know Jesus wins. Not everyone knows. Went pretty long.

When the Pope moved into the Vatican and Obola, who is certainly not a Catholic, beat a path to his door, I learned all I wanted to know.
Perhaps Sorryos gave him the $500k. He should have bought bus tickets for them to go home.
Government funding to churches for immigrants needs to stop. They are aiding and abetting criminals.

The Church is worth multiple billions (of the Fortune 500 kind and he only sends a measly $500K? I bet that $500K was siphoned off suckers giving money at collection box.

"Pope Francis has donated 500,000 dollars to assist migrants in Mexico". This from a Religion that is going bankrupt, closing Catholic schools and merging churches. Does this Pope think these thugs coming to America are going to put money in the box on Sundays? Pope Frances clean up your own mess before you get involved in ours!

This is another reason that I am convinced that this Pope is a really destructive force in the world today. I understand Christian charity, but how about in their own countries? This is a leftist political stroke by the leftists in charge of the Church.
