Pete Buttigieg opened up about his faith Monday night, expressing confidence that he will be able to unite many different groups of people because "God does not have a political party." During a CNN town hall in New Hampshire Monday, the South Bend, Indiana, mayor was asked how he planned to unite conservatives, moderates and liberal Christians. "It can be challenging to be a person of faith who´s also part of the LGBTQ community and yet, to me, the core of faith is regard for one another," Buttigieg said. "And part of God´s love is experienced, according to my faith

I can´t get past the posted paragraph.
FTA: the core of faith is regard for one another
Does he know the people he represents, his Party, celebrate the late term abortions and infanticide of people?
´regard for one another´ ??????
I hope he is the nominee so that he is forever embarrassed by the epic loss to The Donald.

I will ignore all references to God by a homosexual who is proud of his perversion.
He defies the Bible, he is a proud sinner. Until he rejects the sin and sincerely asks for forgiveness, he is lost.

He may be right, but the Godless have a political party, and Mayor Pete is on of their candidates.

Haven´t seen or heard anything out of this creature that indicates he´s a Christian...quite the opposite. 2 Peter 2:1 is on point.

Which god is he referencing? Islam is political. By contrast, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob does not have a political party, but He does have a long-standing foreign policy:
"1 Now the Lord said to Abram, “Go from your country and your kindred and your father´s house to the land that I will show you. 2 And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. 3 I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” Genesis 12:1-3

True enough, I imagine God doesn´t belong to a political party. I´m going to guess that He condemns those who kill babies, regardless of their political party!

It is one thing to want God to guide the nation it is totally another to say that you are a god who knows what is best for the nation. This lowlife creature is really getting on my nerves with all his holier than thou BS. The fact that he is gay does not have anything to do with my repulsion either. He just oozes a phoney stench each time he opens his mouth and pretends to be a Christian while attacking other Christians for their faith.

I suspect that God did not appreciate being booed at one political party’s National Convention.
Buttguy’s “Christianity” is every bit as phony as Obama’s or Bill Clinton’s 50 lb. hollowed-out Bible.

Blind squirrel fides acorn alert. GOD doesn´t care about politics. Only that we follow HIM and come to HIM through the SON.
But HE does care about sin and following GOD´s law. Good luck with that when you meet your judgement, Pete.

Peter Buttigieg speaks of his “faith tradition” as believing “in the way that we support one another and, in particular, support the least among us.” He further states that “Scripture allows for different interpretations.” Peter Buttigieg seems to be using God and Scripture as a basis for his political ambitions, which begs for caution because it is written in Scripture that people seeking to use Scripture to their own advantage may be bringing about their own destruction for using the Word of God in such a manner. (2 Peter 3:16)
#15- Peter Buttigieg is a member of the Episcopal Church which, in 1976, declared that “homosexual persons are children of God who have a full and equal claim with all other persons upon the love, acceptance, and pastoral concern and care of the Church.” Their message: “To our lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender brothers, sisters and siblings: “The Episcopal Church welcomes you!” Believers hate the sin, but love the sinner; however, homosexuality is not of God’s created order and God will not be mocked as written in Galatians 6:7. Mortal man cannot disdain God and expect to get away with it; actions have consequences.

God hates abortion. Sorry if you don´t like hearing it. And the Democratic Party is consistent on being pro-abortion while they are not consistent on any other thing. pro union today, anti union tomorrow, free speech today, tired of it tomorrow, sex is great today, sex is monstrous tomorrow, pro gay but it is fine to throw gay people off roofs they understand. Electoral college yes/no, meritocracy yes/no. But abortion 24/7/365.

God doesn´t have a political party.
But the United States has two major political parties. One of the (the Republicans) love God, respect him, and try to pass laws that He would approve of!!!
The other party (the Demon-Rats), hate God and try to pass laws that stand for everything God declares to be abhorrent!!!
But I guess a sodomite who is totally comfortable breaking many of the rules set out in black and white in the Bible isn´t capable of comprehending that.
Yes, I know we all sin. But the difference is that we feel bad about hurting God, we strive to not repeat those sins, and we sure don´t revel and sing the praises of our sins every chance we get (like Butt-boy does with his sodomite "marriage")!!!!!

How does this Buttigig KNOW? His allies over in the Sharia camp disagree. He insinuates that God isn´t political. He wants God to identify with his personal politics, but The Bible disagrees with him. So, the god he is citing isn´t the God of the Bible but another one. One that approves of him.

We´ve all seen this crap before. I´m sure most of us remember the ´70´s and ´80´s when smug liberals sported bumper stickers proclaiming that "God is neither Republican nor Democrat".
Butt(what´s-his-name) has dusted off that old chestnut and believes it will play in today´s ever-being-dumbed-down America.
Let us all hope and pray that he is wrong.

The least among us could be the definition of a baby about to be born. Peter the Homosexual would kill it. So would almost all of the dimocrat presidential candidates.
(My ELCA Lutheran pastor once did a sermon about little children, and how Jesus talked about protecting them at a time in history where a small child was viewed as a burden.
Pastor did not make reference the the ELCA Lutheran official position on abortion -that is- should be a last resort, but is OK.
It is becoming more and more difficult to be an ELCA Lutheran.

#34- Saw liberalism and political correctness encroachment into the ELCA 20 years ago and left the ELCA for the LCMS. Having been baptized in what ultimately became the ELCA, walking away as a senior citizen decades later was a fleeting consideration, but “the narrow gate” was a guiding light and only regret is not having found the LCMS decades earlier.

The core of the Christian faith is Christ Crucified for the payment of my sins...all of them...through Grace which is a gift of the Holy Spirit. I question God imbuing a practicing Homosexual with this gift. "I chose you, you did not choose me" the Lord has told us! Pete needs some basic theology which I´m sure will never be preached in "his" church... The Bible is Law and Gospel. The Law to break the sinner down until he throws up his hands and says Abba! Then Grace enters through remission of sin and Repentance! But only through Christ! NO man comes to father except through me said Jesus!
