The Democrats are setting themselves up for a possible, even probable, disaster at their nominating convention in Milwaukee, July 13 – 16, 2020. The party that created the concept of “superdelegates” to rein in their crazies may have outsmarted themselves by allowing them to vote only in the second or later ballots. As the field evolves and Joe Biden’s still undeclared candidacy appears to be chaotic, the party elders (the ones with big money fundraising capabilities) are very worried that socialist Bernie Sanders will walk away with the nomination and lose to Donald Trump in a landslide. Andrew Malcolm, the insightful
Calling the convention the Star Wars bar scene would be putting a positive spin on it.

Considering who the democrats are and how they behave, I look forward to the sucker punching, wig-snatching brawls over who’s a more a victim and who is the bigger racist.

Their TDS should be at Stage Five by then. Perhaps we can offer a little compassionate euthanasia. That we finally agree with them on an issue should give them one last little pleasure. (sly smile)

I predicted the same, a couple of weeks ago.
Having 20 plus wannabes running doesn´t create many opportunities for someone to buy out the opposition.
Crazy Bernie wouldn´t know what to do with a fourth house.

The headline had me at Democrat Disaster Looms. Those of us who pay attention knew this already. They need to hire an orchestra for the convention, because the dancing is going to be absolutely amazing.

Well, at least there are some decent restaurants and breweries in Milwaukee.
Eat, drink and be looney, Democrats!

I cannot see them nominating Sanders under any circumstances. He has weak ties to black voters, is nearly 80 years old, and is an outright Socialist. He´d be lucky to win Vermont.

Hmm. So Hillary might emerge at the end of the convention as a "unity" candidate.
Like Lifson, I think Hillary wants to run again, but I think another "unity" candidate is possible the former "First Lady" Michelle Obama - or, as we call her around here, "Mike".
She´s not old, not white, not male, not a middle-of-the roader, and, if the rumors are true, she´s a trannie.
I can see the Dim billboards now -
"We ran the first black Presidential candidate.
We ran the first female Presidential candidate.
And now we´re first again - with the first transgender Presidential candidate!"

Did anyone check to see if Milwaukee has enough Clown Buses? Chicago is close but it seems theirs will all be busy with normal city business.

I’ve got news for the dem “party elders”. They will all lose to Trump in a landslide, if it’s an honest election.

All this means is that the commies can´t pre-select the candidate in the primary round like they did for the Butcher. They have to wait until the second or later ballots when it may be too late to shove their commie elitist candidate down demonrat voter throats.

Let´s hope that they have a steel cage death match at the end.
Of course, I suppose it is wishing for too much to hope that they ALL lose.

MAD-ison or Mil-WACKY.....both seem to be appropriate for the Dem convention. I wonder if Hillary needs directions to Wisconsin.

Well if Bernie were to win the whole enchilada, there would be nothing to keep the recently appointed Trump federal judges from sabotaging Bernie’s political agenda, just as Obama appointed activist federal judges have been trying to sabotage Trump’s political agenda.
Since turn about in politics appears to be considered fair play, it looks like using the federal courts as a Super Legislature will be relied upon into the future.

I´m not so sure how insightful Andrew Malcolm is, but he´s not always wrong. I´ll concede him that much.
