The Summit County Attorney’s Office on Wednesday filed 18 criminal charges against a 17-year-old boy related to the release of bear spray at Park City High School that hospitalized one person and sickened more than a dozen others April 1. The teen faces one second-degree felony . . . . The spray was released in the lecture hall, hours before the school’s Turning Point Club was set to host an event there featuring a speaker from Prager University, a conservative nonprofit organization. The Turning Point Club is the local chapter of a national organization that aims to promote conservative ideas.

Sadly, he will probably get an "slap on the wrist" punishment. At most, a small fine, and probation.

Hey, just ask Jussie Smollet, if you can find him on his "victory vacation" in Hawaii!!!

Until they start to "throw the proverbial book" at these evil lie-beral domestic terrorists, they will continue to feel empowered to get more and more evil!!!!!

This may be a construct because of the news sites I visit, but it seems to me that there are lot more cases of liberals/leftists/progressives attacking or disrupting conservative activities rather than the reverse.

And I think I really mean just "conservative".

I don´t I´ve seen anything on liberals/leftists/progressives attacking anything that was truly "rightist" of "fascist" or "neo-nazi." (They might get hurt.)

Does anybody know of any statistics on this?

Leftists cannot win by convincing you with their arguments, must resort to violence to stop others from making their arguments. This is the left´s strategy on a small scale. Once we are disarmed, they intend to revert to their normal methods, direct, violent coercion.

Ultimately, the gun IS civilization. If I am armed, you cannot force me to do what you want me to do, I can effectively resist your physical coercion. If I am armed, you must be civilized and persuade me to agree with your ideas. So, the guns in hands of individuals are a requirement for civil behavior.

Said better than I can.

It has spread into the big city, Salt Lake, but its heart is in Park City.

Refusing to release his name because he is a minor at 17? Sorry he is old enough for the democrat party to think he should vote, he is old enough to have his name released to the press.

The Park Record is not naming the teen because he is a minor.

Take one guess what THAT means.

If you read this paper with any degree of frequency, you’ve likely seen my name at some point. Most Wednesdays my column appears under the “Opinion” section, because, well, that’s where columns appear. They aren’t news — they’re opinions about the news. That’s an important distinction; one most people with a shred of common sense and a marginal understanding of the First Amendment can comprehend. Regardless of whether they agree with that opinion or not, they understand the difference between point of view and matter of fact. They usually also understand that the humans writing columns for a small-town newspaper CORRECTIONS*

A controversial country concert that was supposed to take place in Kaysville, then in Tooele County, is moving south. Utah Business Revival announced Wednesday that the concert, featuring country singer Collin Raye, is now happening in Cedar City on Saturday, June 13. “As they say, three times a charm, and this concert revival will go on because we don’t quit as Americans!” Eric Moutsos, with UBR, stated in a press release. This change comes after Judge Diana Gibson for the Third District Court upheld an injunction on Friday against the gathering near Grantsville. A controversial country concert that was supposed

When I was little, I loved to sing. At age 5, I joined a nationally renowned youth choir based in Seattle, my hometown. During the wintertime, we performed dozens of Christmas songs, exquisite choral melodies in multipart harmony, in churches across the city. Next to the other choristers, all of us dressed in identical red and white choir robes, I blended right in. Except for one thing: I’m Jewish. While in choir I sang songs about Christmas, I didn’t celebrate it. My family didn’t decorate a tree like our neighbors, and I was under strict instructions not to spill the

The Utah Supreme Court has suspended a city judge for making "shirty and politically charged" comments from the bench and posting "indelicate" criticism online about President Donald Trump. Judge Michael Kwan will serve a six-month suspension without pay for repeatedly violating the Utah Code of Judicial Conduct. In his two decades as a Taylorsville Justice Court judge, the Judicial Conduct Commission has issued Kwan two letters of education and two reprimands for various violations. "We note that previous endeavors to help Judge Kwan correct this behavior have not been successful. And we regretfully conclude that a sanction less severe than

Perhaps CDC Director Rochelle Walensky has no sense of irony. We recently passed the 500th day to slow the spread, which, as we all know, started with 15 days to slow the spread in March of 2020. Now, Walensky is saying that if we all put on a face diaper and get the jab, we can defeat the Delta variant in a few weeks: “We can halt the chain of transmission,” Walensky told “CBS This Morning” on Wednesday. “We can do something if we unify together, if we get people vaccinated who are not yet vaccinated, if we mask in the interim, we can

Rochelle Walensky, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), said in an interview with Healthline published Friday that the country can stop the Chinese coronavirus “in its tracks” if everyone wears a mask until more are vaccinated. Healthline asked the CDC director if she agrees with former CDC director Tom Frieden’s estimation that “we could get to 200,000 new cases a day.”

Provo, Utah–As Mindy Greene spent another day in the COVID intensive care unit, listening to the whirring machines that now breathed for her 42-year-old husband, Russ, she opened her phone and tapped out a message. "We did not get the vaccine," she wrote on Facebook. "I read all kinds of things about the vaccine and it scared me. So I made the decision and prayed about it and got the impression that we would be ok." They were not. Her husband, the father to their four children, was now hovering between life and death, tentacles of tubes spilling from his body.

Over the weekend, the American public finally learned that the vaccinated were being forced to wear masks again because of a massive outlier in Massachusetts where vaccinated people at a beach gathering had a high viral load in their nasal pharynx. And when press on the data during an appearance on CBS’s Face the Nation on Sunday, Dr. Anthony Fauci claimed that viral load meant the vaccinated were spreading it at the same rate as the unvaccinated. But Fauci would be later proven wrong by a high-ranking Israeli public health official and a former FDA commissioner. CBS moderator John Dickerson began by asking Fauci what new understanding

Dr Anthony Fauci has warned of 'some pain and suffering in the future' as coronavirus cases continue to rise, but said that he does not see the need for new lockdowns. 'I don't think we're going to see lockdowns,' Fauci told Jonathan Karl of ABC's This Week on Sunday. 'I think we have enough of the percentage of people in the country – not enough to crush the outbreak – but I believe enough to allow us to not get into the situation we were in last winter.' The nation's top infectious disease expert warned, however, that 'things are gonna get worse' and the number of COVID

Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) joined Jay Thomas on “The Jay Thomas Show” on Tuesday and took questions from local callers. During their conversation Senator Cramer was asked by a caller about Ashli Babbitt and her killer Lt. Mike Byrd. Senator Cramer refused to identify the killer but said he was grateful for the officer’s action. Senator Cramer then lied and said Ashli Babbitt was warned by police before she was shot in an ambush. This is a bald-faced lie. The officer hid in the shadows, did not utter a word, and then shot Ashli Babbitt in the neck as she climbed through a window. She was unarmed and was not a threat.
