Support for Trump dwindles among ICE officers

Original Article

ICE officers who endorsed President Trump in 2016 now say he has failed to follow through on his get-tough promises, saying catch-and-release of immigrants living illegally in the U.S. is not only still happening, but has gone into “overdrive.” Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers say they’re being roped into such mundane tasks as opening the doors on vans to release immigrants already caught by Border Patrol agents. That’s dragging the officers from their usual duties of nabbing fugitives, or scouring local prisons and jails for immigrant criminals who lived illegally in the U.S. ready to be deported.

Comments:

Catch and send back. No more droppint illegals off it infiltrate the nation´s cities. No citizenship unless one parent is a US citizen. No Amnesty, no voting rights unless naturalized. No more election year games. It is a hard promise to make, but he future of our republic depends on it.

This along with "take their guns and then go to court" have dwindled my support at this point. Plus spending is WAY up over Obama! Trump has proven to be a con-man. He says one thing to make us all happy and then does nothing to stem the tide (invasion) on our southern border and now he supports some politician´s right to pass a rule or law or reg. that the police can just come in and take your guns without ANY concern for the 2nd or 4th Amendments to the Constitution of the United States of America???

Keep it up Donald and you will have Bernie Sanders elected in another 6 months!!! Remember Bush 1? Now New Taxes...yea...K...how´d that work out for that RINO??? You can fix this...but do you have the will and the smarts to get it done?

Catch & Release law should only apply to undersized fish. Sadly, this law also applies to illegals from “non-contiguous” countries. Under existing immigration law, and please correct me, the Trump Administration has to release these illegals into our country if they claim aslyum, and leftist groups from the US have made this clear to the caravans from Central America. PDT faces issue of ignoring a law passed by Congress, a Congress that won’t change this law or our other mad immigration laws.
AG Barr has to determine if the mass waves of asylum seekers that the law has produced is not what the intent of law is. He might then be able to issue an exception allowing the return of illegals to their home countries to await their hearings in our embassy/consulates. But a federal judge would rule this interpretation unconstitutional within 48 hours of issuance. Until Congress changes our immigration laws, which is unlikely, catch & release, chain migration and the visa lottery will continue unabated. Y’all come, ya hear.

Long before PDJT came into office, ICE and CBP agents and officers have had a thankless job thanks to Congress and previous Presidents.

The blame for this lays squarely with liberal judges and the liberal Democrats who want it to continue and cowardly Republicans who are too afraid to do anything about it in Congress. The President has made his position quite clear judging by the claims of racism and hate made against him every day. ICE should focus on the cause of the issue.

Yeah, I get the implication that they are now all supporting Bernie Sanders because President Trump has so failed them!!!!! Wet dream fantasy there, lie-beral media!!!!!!

BS!!!! They know President Trump has tried, and has been shut down over and over again by activist lie-beral federal judges, the Demon-rats in Congress, and, far too often, the spineless, cajones-less, Republi-can´ts in his own party!!!!!!

According to Italian media, the majority of the pages supported the populist parties La Lega (The League) and the 5-Star Movement (M5S) — who currently govern Italy in a temporary coalition. Facebook has justified its dramatic move by claiming that the sites shared fake news, so-called “hate speech”, and “divisive content” regarding immigrants, vaccines, and Jewish people.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said Sunday that growing cauliflower in community gardens is part of the “colonial” attitudes that her Green New Deal will stamp out. The New York Democrat, who introduced the proposal to tackle climate change by radically transforming the economy, posted a series of Instagram videos filmed in her home state talking about community gardens as a “core component” of her proposal. “What I love too is growing plants that are culturally familiar to the community. It’s so important,” she said as she filmed a community garden in the Bronx. “So that’s really how you do it right.

The Nevada Senate approved Tuesday a National Popular Vote bill on a party-line vote, sending the legislation aimed at upending the Electoral College to the governor. Assembly Bill 186, which passed the Senate on a 12-8 vote, would bring Nevada into the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact, an agreement between participating states to cast their electoral votes for the winner of the popular vote. If signed as expected by Democratic Gov. Steve Sisolak, Nevada would become the 16th jurisdiction to join the compact, along with 14 states and the District of Columbia.

Americans today are more closely divided than they were earlier in the last century when asked whether some form of socialism would be a good or bad thing for the country. While 51% of U.S. adults say socialism would be a bad thing for the country, 43% believe it would be a good thing. Those results contrast with a 1942 Roper/Fortune survey that found 40% describing socialism as a bad thing, 25% a good thing and 34% not having an opinion. The Roper/Fortune survey is one of the oldest trend questions measuring attitudes on socialism in the U.S. Gallup's update of the question in an April 17-30 survey finds

Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., joined the legion of “Game of Thrones” fans disappointed by the show’s finale. “I’m sad,” said Ocasio-Cortez in a video of the two legislators posted to Warren’s Twitter account Tuesday. “Disappointed about it.” “I was just really… meh,” said Warren. The pair bemoaned the arcs of the female characters who seemed prime to rule at the end of the series. Instead, one “went crazy” and the other settled for ruling only part of the continent. The lawmakers were not alone in their distaste for the series’ treatment of its female characters

After taking President Trump's endorsement to get himself elected senator, Mitt Romney has made quite a show of turning on Trump. The last two incidents have been notable: He declared GOP "maverick" congressman Justin Amash "courageous" for joining the Democrats and calling for the impeachment of President Trump in the House. He also made this ad hominem attack on Trump over the weekend, playing Puritan for us: On Sunday, Romney was back at it, attacking the president's character. "I think he could substantially improve his game when it comes to helping shape the character of the country," Romney said on CNN.

Jerry Nadler’s cynical, cowardly show 19 replies

Jerry Nadler was at it again Tuesday, waxing indignant about former White House counsel Don McGahn’s refusal to testify before the House Judiciary Committee. It’s all a show, meant to keep old news in the headlines, and to appease the large “Impeach Now!” wing of the Democratic Party without actually doing anything. Everyone on Judiciary knows perfectly well that Congress can’t compel testimony from top presidential advisers except in the most extraordinary circumstances: The chief executive’s right to frank, confidential discussions with his staff is well-established. So Nadler’s bluster about how he’ll “go to court to secure” McGahn’s appearance is just noise for the cameras. Then again, that’s all

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler, D-NY, accused the White House of "intimidating" former White House Counselor Don McGahn from testifying on Capitol Hill and said it was becoming "more and more difficult" to not consider President Trump's impeachment on Monday night. Nadler told CNN anchor Chris Cuomo that his committee will hold McGahn "in contempt" for not complying with the subpoena and will take the battle to court. "You are dealing with a lawless president who is willing to go to any lengths to prevent testimony that might implicate him, that does implicate him," Nadler said. Nadler expressed that Trump's "lawless behavior"

The U.S. Postal Service on Tuesday started a two-week test transporting mail across three Southwestern states using self-driving trucks, a step forward in the effort to commercialize autonomous vehicle technology for hauling freight. San Diego-based startup TuSimple said its self-driving trucks will begin hauling mail between USPS facilities in Phoenix and Dallas to see how the nascent technology might improve delivery times and costs. A safety driver will sit behind the wheel to intervene if necessary and an engineer will ride in the passenger seat. If successful, it would mark an achievement for the autonomous driving industry and a possible

There's a recurring theme in American science fiction where the country loses its way, endures some horrible but cleansing disaster, and then rediscovers the blessings of liberty. You'll find it in Robert Heinlein's "Future History" stories, where the Crazy Years -- a period of rapid technological advances, decaying social norms, and mass psychosis -- leads to the backlash of a religious dictatorship. The Prophets regime is eventually toppled by a liberty-loving group dedicated to individual rights. The theme is even more pronounced in Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged, where a socialist regime puts the country into another Great Depression, only worse. The country's capitalists
