Facebook Shuts Down Pro-Populist Italian Pages Before EU Elections

According to Italian media, the majority of the pages supported the populist parties La Lega (The League) and the 5-Star Movement (M5S) — who currently govern Italy in a temporary coalition. Facebook has justified its dramatic move by claiming that the sites shared fake news, so-called “hate speech”, and “divisive content” regarding immigrants, vaccines, and Jewish people.

Comments:

The "masters of the universe" at work to subvert free speech to try to silence those who don´t agree with them.

Facebook has become too big and powerful to be trusted to partisan geeks. I don´t want the government controlling it either. The best thing would be for enough people to terminate their accounts that Facebook would fail, and the honest alternatives would have a fair chance to compete.

Discrimination is now allowed if you defend it by saying it was hate speech.

I was thrown off of FB five times for what they determined hate speech. There are groups and races protected on FB that carry on with their agenda and damn you if you comment about it. I´ve had post taken down that show images of 9-11 World Trade Towers. It happens all the time my speech is hate if I disagree with the FB Gestapo.

In my world, social media does not exist. From what I have seen and read, my life is all the better for not having it.

I read (and occasionally comment on) a lot of news on the Web, but I generally stay away from Facebook, Twitter, etc.
In the last year or so, I have read article after article where various people and groups are being shadow-banned, banned, and kicked off of Facebook and Twitter.

It seems to me that there is a screaming opportunity staring us in the face.
Someone PLEASE start and widely publicize a website, or series of websites, to use INSTEAD of Facebook and Twitter!

Is there something already operating which I am not aware? I know there was Gab, but I have the understanding that Gab kind of flopped.

Anyone with any information, please chip in!

So, isn´t the whole idea behind FB that they aren´t a publisher?

Yet, aren´t they acting in editorial manner which lends closer to a publisher instead of just a platform?

Zuck-Hitler didn't get that nickname by being a nice guy. The Italians know what to do for world peace. They should do it. Now!

Former Congressman and current Democratic presidential hopeful Beto O'Rourke has laid out a plan he says would help the country "realize the full potential of our democracy." O'Rourke's campaign says the "Voting Rights and Democracy Reform Plan" could increase registration by 50 million voters and turn 35 million additional voters to the polls by 2024. O'Rourke's plan is built around three parts. One would focus on increasing voter turnout. The plan would allow same-day voter registration. Twenty states and Washington DC allow same-day registration now. Sixteen and 17 year olds would be automatically pre-registered.

During the 2018 Texas Senate race, Austin resident Michele Schwartz canvassed for Beto O’Rourke and opened a pop-up office for his campaign at her home..snip..the race between O’Rourke and Republican Sen. Ted Cruz presented her with an obvious choice. On Saturday, though, Schwartz turned out for a rally at Texas Southern University to hear U.S. Sen. Kamala Harris, D-California, stump to a Houston audience for the first time in her presidential campaign. Already, Schwartz, 50, has soured a bit on O’Rourke, turning instead to her preferred candidate: Harris
Support for Trump dwindles among ICE officers 13 replies

ICE officers who endorsed President Trump in 2016 now say he has failed to follow through on his get-tough promises, saying catch-and-release of immigrants living illegally in the U.S. is not only still happening, but has gone into “overdrive.” Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers say they’re being roped into such mundane tasks as opening the doors on vans to release immigrants already caught by Border Patrol agents. That’s dragging the officers from their usual duties of nabbing fugitives, or scouring local prisons and jails for immigrant criminals who lived illegally in the U.S. ready to be deported.

Democrats want to bring a panel of psychiatrists to Washington to suggest that President Donald Trump is mentally unfit to be president. Kentucky Democratic Rep. John Yarmuth has been tasked with coordinating the project, now planned for July, the Washington Examiner reported Wednesday. “We’re planning to put together an event … a town hall. We haven’t actually determined the format,” Yarmuth said.Dr. Bandy Lee, a persistent critic of the president who believes Trump’s state of mental health makes him unfit for office, is slated to lead the team of psychiatrists. Lee teaches at the Yale School of Medicine and is the editor of the book,

I don’t think it is a coincidence that just as President Trump is in the UK we suddenly learn that “dossier” author Christopher Steele has agreed to be questioned by US authorities. (snip) I have all along believed that part of President Trump’s mission in the UK was winning over British support for fully outing the role of its intelligence services in the Russia Hoax. He would have to guarantee that the overall relationship would remain sound even if highly embarrassing facts come to light.

“Carbon Tax” Bill…

Let’s be clear about a few things regarding “carbon taxes”. First, the system of taxing carbon emissions, also known as “cap-n-trade”, has absolutely nothing to do with climate change. Second a “carbon tax” is the holy grail for the totalitarian globalist world view. The concept of a tax on carbon emissions was developed inside the same financial network of multinational monetary interests that control the current global trade system. Powerful financial interests directly connected to The World Bank (WB), International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Trade Organization (WTO), together with global banking interests connected to Wall Street and

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — June is Pride month, which means you may be seeing a lot of those iconic rainbow flags, depending on where you live. You might also see other flags flying next to them, meant to include the diversity of the LGBTQ community — here's what they all mean. The iconic six-striped rainbow flag was created by artist and veteran Gilbert Baker in 1978 at the request of activist Harvey Milk, according to Baker's website. Baker's original flag included eight colored stripes, each with a different meaning: pink for sex, red for life, orange for healing, yellow for sunlight, green for

Left-wing actress Bette Midler took to social media this week and suggested that someone in President Donald Trump’s “camp” should “shiv” or stab him. “He actually looks better here! Maybe someone in his camp can gently give him a shiv. I mean, shove,” Bette Midler said on Tuesday night. The actress was piggybacking on a tweet by Michael Moore, who had ranted about President Trump’s surprise visit to McLean Bible Church in Virginia on Sunday. “Seriously, WTF is this? At what the WH said was ‘a memorial for the 12 shot dead in Virginia Beach’ (it wasn’t),

President Trump’s threat to impose tariffs on all Mexican imports until Mexico takes serious action to control its border with the U.S. shocked the Washington Beltway, Wall Street, and the Palacio Nacional in Mexico City. These centers of financial and political power, lulled by a U.S. Congress that has refused to act and activist federal judges who have stymied Trump’s border control efforts at every step, were jolted awake by Trump’s ultimatum. But they should not have been surprised. The president issued a similar threat back in April. And, Trump promised from day one of his presidential campaign that he would make stanching the flow of illegal immigration,

RUSH: Speaking of Hillary Clinton, folks, we had this piece yesterday from the Federalist by Mr. H. A. Goodman, and it was one of those pieces that you read it, and you say, “Yeah, yeah.” You know it all, but you get kind of frustrated that you didn’t think of it all yourself. His point basically was (without rehashing the whole thing) that every bit of everything we know or think we know--every news item, every little bit of information that fed this narrative the past two years or three now, that Trump colluded with Russia--came not from American intelligence, not from British intelligence. It didn’t come from FBI intelligence.
