House Republicans on Monday night offered a detailed critique of what they called House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s “socialist wish list” in House Democrats’ $2.5 trillion proposal for responding to the coronavirus outbreak. “Speaker Pelosi unveiled legislation aimed at exploiting the COVID-19 public health crisis by attempting to force the inclusion of a socialist wish list of policies that have nothing to do with the public health and economic emergency,” said House Minority Whip Steve Scalise, Louisiana Republican. After poring over the 1,400-page proposal, Mr. Scalise offered his characterization of Republicans’ objections to the following items:

Stealing a line from a meme my sister just sent me: "Pelosi calls herself a lioness? Drunken hag can't even pronounce 'lying ass' right!"
Each day that this ineffective 'lockdown' continues, our economy slips more into the kind of morass during which Americans tend to look for government to help. Settin' it all up for the Democrats to sneak their Socialism in, while we watch helplessly.
Just like the first time PG&E shut off our power established the pattern of shutting it off for every windstorm, this counterproductive lockdown gives precedent for the Libs to shut off our lives every flu season, like strangling ourselves in hopes that it'll improve our health.

They have no shame. They've imported the whole Dim campaign platform into this bill.

The Democrats motto, by any means necessary.
Nancy Pelosi was where the previous week? This needs to be answered and exposed.
Her phone and travel records should be published
Since she was NOT part of the negotiations that the Senators were working on all weekend.
Then, she parachutes in with her wish list, which means she was working on her own outside of Congress's normal working hours/days, right?
But, she presented 1400 pages to Congress, which should be examined as to who collaborated to produce such a massive document?

You can't blame the demented old bat from trying. The democrats will probably never see a wish list fulfilled in our lifetimes. The shortcomings of both Pelosi and Biden have been blamed on their advanced age but these two have always been crooked, selfish embarrassments.

There must be serious consequencesfor this. We'll never dislodge these ticks from their strongholds Ca, NY, IL, etc., but we COULD eliminate her Dem votes from other states. The problem with that however - the RNC is always asleep at the wheel. They will not find and groom good candidates in otherwise winnable areas. They must be on some other mission.

Stunning in light of any emergency, much less this one. I could be convinced the Commiecrats introduced the virus just to pass this bill. As others posted, this didn't get written out of thin air.

“You never let a serious crisis go to waste. And what I mean by that it's an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before.”
Rahm Emanuel
The “Cloward-Piven Strategy” seeks to hasten the fall of capitalism by overloading the government bureaucracy with a flood of impossible demands, thus pushing society into crisis and economic collapse.
1) Use a tragedy as a crisis, or create a crisis where none exists.
2) Paint the crisis with as much emotion as possible, and throw logical analysis out the window.
3) Propose solutions to the problem, which just happens to coincide with what you’ve wanted to implement for many years.
4) Depict anyone who opposes your solutions as evil, uncaring, not smart enough to understand the nuanced brilliance of your solution, or in the pockets of …. you pick the evil entity.
5) Force the solution on the people by any means, whether legislatively, by executive order, or through the legal system.
6) When the unintended consequences of your solution rear their ugly head, use them as a reason for more brilliant solutions to made up crises .
