Britain’s minister for Northern Ireland, Hilary Benn, delivers a warning to those who complain on social media about their stabbing or beheading. Minister Benn notes the danger created by people online sharing information from Belfast after two days of civic unrest in the city following a migrant stabbing and slicing a local resident.
The need for control is always a reaction to fear. Apparently, the government of Great Britain is very fearful.
“Social media companies have a very heavy responsibility. It’s why we’re going to bring forward new powers next week to make it clear that social media companies need to take down illegal content,

The media frame the early arrival of Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney as part of a bilateral discussion ahead of the G7 which begins on June 15. However, those who have followed the nuance of geopolitics well understand Mark Carney is in Paris early so that he can strategize with President Emmanuel Macron the best way to defeat Godzilla Trump.
There is a certain irony that amid the G7 only one economy is growing, the USA.

Rumors are spreading across social media that thousands of ballots submitted with votes for Spencer Pratt in Los Angeles County were outright rejected for lacking signatures and others failing signature verification requirements. Some accounts have gone further, alleging that the rejected ballots were disproportionately expected to benefit Spencer Pratt, though that claim has not been independently verified. The original social media account that brought attention to the issue claimed that roughly 18,000 ballots had been rejected. Los Angeles County officials pushed back on the figure, acknowledging rejected ballots but asserting that the actual number was closer to 12,000.

It gets a little into the weeds; however, you might remember last year when DNI Tulsi Gabbard took the National Intelligence Council (NIC) out of the CIA and brought the analyst system under the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI).
The NIC was where the sausage was made; where the assessments were constructed; manipulated information through a very political system of control. The NIC is where people like Eric Ciaramella worked. This sub-silo was where intelligence was analyzed, informed, )snip)
The NIC was the weaponized information bureaucracy within the larger intelligence community.

The study is called, “The Growth, Scope, and Spatial Distribution of People With Felony Records in the United States, 1948–2010.”
Springer Nature:
The steep rise in U.S. criminal punishment in recent decades has spurred scholarship on the collateral consequences of imprisonment for individuals, families, and communities. Several excellent studies have estimated the number of people who have been incarcerated and the collateral consequences they face, but far less is known about the size and scope of the total U.S. population with felony convictions beyond prison walls, including those who serve their sentences on probation or in jail. This article develops state-level estimates based on demographic life tables and extends

As Xavier Becerra looks to move up the polls in the California Democratic primary for governor, one of the biggest controversies shadowing his record is the scandal involving missing migrant children during his tenure as Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
The scandal reportedly stemmed from the massive surge of immigrants, specifically unaccompanied minor children. (snip)
The images of these children put pressure on the Biden administration to do something, so they reportedly began imposing demands on staffers to begin moving kids quickly out of the shelters and to their sponsors meant to protect the kids from human trafficking or other forms of exploitation

An interesting article in Japan Times reinforces several insider trade discussions that have been taking place over the past eighteen months. Essentially, all trade deals with Canada are contingent upon their access to the USA market. Lose the USMCA trade deal, and any trade terms between Asian and Canadian counterparts are null and void.
This is not the first time this background from key trade nations has been shared with Canada. Japan told Canada last year that most sector trade, specifically the auto industry, was contingent upon tariff-free access to the U.S. market. If Canada loses the USMCA, the terms of trade change completely.

The Small Business Administration (SBA) has suspended 27,486 borrowers in Ohio linked to approximately $1.1 billion in COVID-19 financial assistance fraud, the agency said in a June 4 statement.
The borrowers are alleged to have defrauded the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) and Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) initiatives. PPP was a COVID-era program that sought to help businesses retain their workforce during the crisis, while EIDL provided loans and advances to help businesses recover from the economic impacts of the pandemic. While the PPP initiative ended in May 2021, the SBA stopped accepting applications for EIDL as of January 2022.
