OK, let’s go to Scott Pelley. Here’s the headline from the Daily Mail. “Teary-eyed Scott Pelley goes scorched earth on Bari Weiss as he calls for her removal and describes CBS firings like his family being murdered.” He says at one point he started to tear up when talking about his former colleague, executive producer Tanya Simon, being fired an,d said it felt like “your spouse being murdered.” Victor Davis Hanson: They always do that. I mean, anybody who’s in the arena and espouses political views, “I was almost murdered, Jack. I was swatted.

Murder? No. More like Bari Wiess is a surgeon removing the cancer from CBS News and 60 Minutes in order to save it. Continued treatment will help destroy more cancer from the news division, but it might be painful. Pelley and his associates are the cancer.

I am sure Scott has plenty of money but what he really hates is losing his relevance and a megaphone to talk down to and lecture us rubes. He is no longer a "player" in the leftist media propaganda game. Oh, he will make a few appearances on friendly shows to whine about the unfairness and somehow blame Trump and the end of democracy but his days in the spotlight are over.

The level of narcissism on the left is off the charts. They really believe that they are deigned by the Universe to rule. It’s why they are always so shocked when the world doesn’t go their way.

Most of these news readers have staffs that do the hard work of digging up the information to make them look so knowledgeable on the air. Their main talent is dramatizing the presentation of the news. That can be seen in how he described the RIF and his firing over the top insubordination. It sounded like he was the boss dressings down a stupid insubordinate.

The Left operates on arrogant entitlement. How many "news" and entertainment people, educators, and bureaucrats get in our face with their opinions, that have no more value than our own opinions. They are no more skilled and informed that we are. They think that they can pompously say "This is so!" and because it is THEM saying it, we are supposed to bow in respect. Yet we have clearly seen that they simply do NOT know what they are talking about. They make stuff up and lie to support their pontifications. When they are caught at it, they feel totally justified about what they have done because, to them, it is their goal that matters, even when the goal is wrong and corrupt. The fact that THEY want it, fully justifies it and fully justifies any means used to achieve it. It's a form of insanity and moral decadence.

These arrogant asses so easily claim "murder" when someone merely loses a job. They literally have no concept of the factual use of the language. Can they grasp that actual murder involves someone being KILLED, not just needing to find a new place of employment? Having spent and entire career lying and exaggerating.....this fool cannot stop....and equates loss of a job with the end of a life. Stupid, foolish, and just tiresome. GOOD RIDDANCE.

Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Knicks owner James Dolan could be forced to bury the hatchet if the team clinches an NBA championship — for potentially the biggest ticker-tape victory parade in New York City’s history. The Knicks’ instant-classic Game 4 victory Wednesday over the San Antonio Spurs puts the team one win away their first NBA championship in 53 years – and amped up talks about a befitting mega-celebration, insiders said. Jinxes be damned, officials were said to have met in City Hall on Thursday afternoon to hash out the logistics of a throwing a ticker-tape parade as soon as next week —

As more and more revelations come to the fore about Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner, who just won the Democrat primary this week, many Democrats seem to have adopted a simple mantra regarding his campaign: Vote for the Nazi: It’s important. The saying echoes a slogan from campaigns past — one that supporters of Republican Sen. Susan Collins, Platner’s opponent in the general election, would do well to employ against Platner. The slogan demonstrates how Democrats will embrace a candidate — any candidate — so long as that person opposes President Trump.

It would be the first time Congress has allowed Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act to lapse since the law passed in 2008. It grants the government powers to spy on foreign nationals living abroad as part of counterterrorism efforts without requiring warrants. Congress has struggled for months to reach a deal that placates privacy hawks on the left and the right, who demand restraints they say are necessary to prevent the law from being abused. They argue that there are insufficient guardrails on the government’s sweeping up private information about Americans.

The Los Angeles mayoral race just got a little more interesting. It’s already been a wild ride, where wildfire victim Spencer Pratt seemed to be a shoo-in for the second spot the night the polls closed, only to see his lead slowly erode over the days as mail-in ballots continue to be counted in an excruciatingly slow fashion. Somehow, LA Councilwoman Nithya Raman, who tanked in the May debate and was a consistent third in the polls, is now seemingly destined to take the number two position and head to the November general election to face the failed incumbent, Karen Bass.

Nearly 90,000 unidentified children facing sexual abuse will finally be helped thanks to House Republicans funding the largest investment to fight child exploitation and trafficking. A provision included in the newly passed Department of Homeland Security funding bill will allow 200 new investigators to identify victims of child sexual abuse. “Right now, 89,000 unidentified image series of children being sexually abused have been seen by law enforcement—but these children have yet to be identified and are still waiting to be found due to resource and manpower shortages,” Tim Tebow, founder and chairman of the Tim Tebow Foundation, said.

U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth stood at the Normandy American Cemetery in Colleville-sur-Mer on the 82nd anniversary of D-Day and delivered a pointed message. While honoring the sacrifices of those who stormed the beaches in 1944, he drew a connection to the threats Europe faces today. Some criticized the remarks as political. They were instead a sober reflection on what those graves represent: the high cost of securing liberty and the need to defend it in every generation.Normandy was chosen for the Allied invasion because it offered a feasible path to breach Hitler’s Fortress Europe. The Germans expected the main assault to be farther north near Calais.

Now, more than a decade after attending his last Knicks game at Madison Square Garden, Trump is making a rare trip back to New York City as president to cheer for them in Game 3 of the NBA Finals against the San Antonio Spurs on Monday night. The “sweetest” elderly Mississippi couple were allegedly killed by a teenage burglar who then shot at cops during a six-hour standoff while barricaded in the house, according to authorities. Billy Blair, 74, and his wife, Virginia Carol Blair, 71, were killed after 17-year-old Cordarius Hobbs broke into their home last Wednesday, WLBT reported. Hobbs has since been charged with capital murder. Cops swooped on the Mendenhall home just after noon for a welfare check after worried relatives couldn’t make contact — but they encountered gunfire upon their arrival. The burglary was already taking place when police arrived and the front door was open.

It's certainly not what the Founding Fathers intended. Now, one House member may have the answer to this dilemma. Republican Rep. Chip Roy (TX-21) has introduced a bill that would end both pay and power for House and Senate members who have reached 12 years of service in their respective legislative bodies.
