James Talarico, the Democrat nominee for the U.S. Senate race in Texas, has long-proven that he is anything but the moderate that his party has already begun to attempt to portray him as in hopes of swinging the election in his favor. His campaign website shows his hyper-progressive nature on a number of issues, but quite notably on the immigration front. Talarico famously stated that he believes that our southern border should be “like a front porch. Independent investigator Muckraker has blown the lid off a sophisticated, long-running Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) and charity fraud operation in Lawrence, Massachusetts. Dominican immigrants have been openly buying groceries with food stamps (EBT/SNAP cards) or taking free food from charities and food banks, loading it into shipping barrels, and sending it straight to the Dominican Republic — where it gets resold for profit in local bodegas. The pipeline runs from Massachusetts corner stores, through shipping hubs in New York, all the way to Santo Domingo.

President Donald Trump lashed out Saturday after U.S. District Judge Christopher Cooper blocked the planned closure and renovation of the Kennedy Center, accusing the Obama-appointed judge of halting what Trump described as a badly needed structural and aesthetic overhaul of the performing arts venue. In a lengthy Truth Social post, Trump said millions of dollars in marble, furniture, steel, heating, air conditioning, and other materials had been ordered or were about to be ordered for what he called a "magnificent structural and aesthetic rebuilding" of the center. He argued the building had serious problems involving rust, rot, pests, failing pipes, aging HVAC systems, and structural beams that needed replacement,

Republicans are running out of time to pass President Donald Trump’s agenda and tackle the affordability crisis as the midterm elections inch closer. With the midterms looming, Republicans have struggled to pass several policy agendas, including funding immigration enforcement, addressing affordability and adding voter identification requirements. Republicans are on a time crunch to address the hot-button issues for voters, including the economy and immigration, before they cast their ballots in November. The Senate has 53 days in session before November, while the House has about 40. A second reconciliation package aimed at funding immigration enforcement will not reach Trump’s desk by his June 1 deadline, leaving Senate Republicans scrambling to pass the package

Pope Leo XIV’s meeting last week with progressive Chicago Democratic Mayor Brandon Johnson at the Vatican in Rome has drawn mixed reactions including one from President Trump. Johnson said after the meeting Thursday that he and the pope discussed U.S. policies under Trump, specifically the Iran conflict and immigration enforcement. Johnson sharply criticized Trump, calling him a "disgrace" and a "tyrant" for getting the U.S. involved in the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel. “Illegal wars do not leave just a trail of tears and trauma, but it also harms and brutalize our humanity,” Johnson said in a press briefing after the meeting. “The economic drive with which (Trump)

Wisconsin Democrats appear to be facing their own political nightmare, and her name is Francesca Hong. The Madison state representative and self-proclaimed progressive darling is now openly talking about a world without prisons, police, or accountability. Her idea of “public safety” sounds more like open season for criminals and chaos for law-abiding citizens. As if her past calls to defund the police were not extreme enough, Hong told voters that her “perfect world” would be one with no prisons. made the comments earlier this month during a campaign event and then doubled down in a follow-up interview, where she insisted the idea represents a “long-term vision.”

Maine Republican gubernatorial candidate Jonathan Bush explained that voters in Maine are “sick to death” of Maine’s Democrat Gov. Janet Mills, who is term-limited. While speaking with Breitbart News Saturday host Matthew Boyle, Bush noted that while people think the state is “irretrievably blue,” the state is actually purple, and turning red. “Maine is purple, and coming red this time around. We’ve changed governor’s mansions every eight years for the last eighty years. Everybody in Maine is sick to death of the current governor, who is term-limited. But everybody running on the Democratic side is in her administration,” Bush said.

The 119th Congress has taken roughly 16 breaks from Capitol Hill thus far despite a record-long shutdown and a war with Iran. The House and Senate followed through with their recesses during historically rocky times, including when the longest government shutdown in history took place in the Fall of 2025, lasting 43 days. During that time, Speaker Mike Johnson extended district work periods and the House did not return for regular votes, while the Senate took short breaks that prolonged the shutdown. Throughout the shutdown, the Senate reconvened for votes during the first week of October and continued meeting into November to negotiate on continuing resolutions.

New bipartisan legislation aimed at limiting Chinese involvement in the U.S. auto market may sweep in Mercedes-Benz unless the bill is changed or the German automaker’s largest shareholder sells its stake. The bill, the Motor Vehicle Modernization Act of 2026, would prohibit automakers that have “any direct or indirect equity interest by a foreign-adversary government,” such as China, from importing, selling or manufacturing vehicles for sale in the U.S. Mercedes-Benz’s largest individual shareholder is the state-owned Chinese automaker BAIC,

We reported earlier on Saturday on Jill Biden's remarks about Hunter's pardon, and they truly did beggar belief as she tried to blame President Donald Trump for Joe Biden going back on his word not to pardon his son. Indeed, she claimed he had to do it because they were fearful Hunter would be targeted by Trump. That took some kind of gall, after the lawfare efforts against Trump for years. Jill also got a lot of backlash for saying she had never seen anything like Joe's confusion during the debate before or since, claiming she thought he was having a stroke or medical issue.
