We Just Learned More About the Man Hit
by a Frontier Airlines Plane, and It's
Raising Eyebrows

Several Frontier Airlines passengers suffered minor injuries over the weekend when their plane, departing from the Denver airport, struck a person trespassing on the runway. That person was killed after being hit by the plane's engine, which caused an explosion and fire that aborted the takeoff. That man has now been identified, which is raising questions about whether this was a sinister act, given his extensive criminal history. Authorities said Michael Mott, 41, was the man hit by the plane on May 9. Mott has been arrested 20 times previously, including for attempted murder. He was most recently arrested about a month before he trespassed at the Denver airport.

Comments:

Another career criminal let loose by activist judges. He won't be a problem any longer, though.

Michael Mott was a career criminal with twenty arrests, including for attempted murder. A long time ago, some states had "three strikes and you're out" laws. What happened? Now some places are awash in criminals who have have been through the criminal justice system multiple times, and would reoffend over and over. Three violent felonies should result in a prison term of life without parole. This Mott fellow tried to being down a large passenger jet with over 200 souls onboard. Thank heaven the pilots were able to prevent a massive tragedy. Something legal but very, very unpleasant needs to be done to the judges who turn loose the worst of the bad. Judges CAN be removed for bad behavior. Whoever cut loose this nut ought to be out of his (her?) robe, disbarred, and out of the legal profession. And yes, something should be done about said Hungarian billionaire and his two-legged legacy. Enough is enough. Consistent support of our enemies should lead to a bad end. That goes for Democrats, too.

I'd easily believe wandering in a drug induced haze and had no idea where he was, no rational thoughts in his head at all. He should not have been out of prison with his record. Good riddance, but a damned expensive way to kill someone.

My son flew that same plane from Atlanta to Denver earlier that same early evening. He and his FO on the Atlanta leg shake their heads as to why this trespasser had escaped the judicial system. But that he did. Thanks to a dysfunctional judiciary. Do we thank the left? Then there is the simple question - how does some whacko simply help himself to a major airport runway at a major airport. Stopping an A321 neo on the concrete with less than a thousand feet left available that was near V1 speed with an engine on fire at sudden zero thrust with the fan blades full of body parts doesn't come easy. The importance of pilot training that is repeated over and over and over and over for the Captain and his FO. Effective training does matter. Next time you fly, hug your flight Captain after the flight and/or his FO. There is always a lot going on in that small uncomfortable room upfront where the pilots sit.

Nobody asks to become mentally ill. But leave it to politicians to conclude (as they did back then) that new medications developed in the 1950s and beyond would make it possible for individuals warehoused in horrifying mental institutions, to be released and treated in local facilities. By the time Deinstitutionalization (look it up) was completed, the mental hospitals were closed, and the optimistic predictions that news drugs would help keep people stable with no need to live in institutions, did not even come close to expectations. To this day increasingly irresponsible politicians pretend that crime and homelessness wouldn't exist if only left wing politicians had endless access to taxpayer money to "fix" the problems. The results speak for themselves. A well functioning society does not tolerate crime and mental illness on the streets. It does not allow open air drug markets. It doesn't confuse "freedom" for a dangerous and dysfunctional population with compassion.

Call it mental illness or call it evil (I'm inclined toward the latter), society must be protected from actions like this. Our "leaders" are failing miserably at this primary task, seemingly deliberately.

On my last flight, I told my pilot great flight, good job, and thank you, #3. My grandson is getting his pilot hours, and I know how dedicated he is. As I said before, thank goodness this person did not cause the death of innocent passengers, flight attendants, and pilots. This criminal won't try to hurt anyone else ever again.

The US Senate on Thursday unanimously approved a resolution to withhold their pay during a government shutdown. The resolution, adopted by voice vote, was authored by Republican Senator John Kennedy (LA). “My resolution to stop senators’ pay during government shutdowns cleared a key procedural vote today, moving it one step closer to final passage,” Kennedy said on Wednesday afternoon ahead of the Thursday vote. “Fair-minded Americans know senators should feel the pain of a shutdown with the American people,” Kennedy said. Kennedy’s resolution suspends Senators’ pay during partial or full government shutdowns. “It’s called shared sacrifice,” Kennedy said.

The only thing missing was a six-foot social distancing sticker on the floor. And honestly, who knows? The WHO — yes, that WHO, the same unelected international health bureaucracy that spent the early days of COVID-19 cheerleading for China and assuring the world there was "no clear evidence of human-to-human transmission" — convened its Emergency Committee for the 15th time and finally called it. COVID emergency over. May 5, 2023. Done.

Nobody should pretend the Obama project reached opening day after some gentle stroll through paperwork. The Obama Foundation chose 19.3 acres inside historic Jackson Park, a public space with deep civic roots, and fought years of legal challenges from Protect Our Parks over public land, process, environmental concerns, and whether the project served the public interest. The center moved ahead anyway, wrapped in the soft language of community, democracy, and uplift. President Donald Trump's planned presidential library in Miami

It seems from the Fox News report that the CIA seized the files just now, though a whistleblower from the agency who testified to Congress today referred to the wrongful seizure of files in his testimony. It is therefore not clear if the raid occurred today or before the testimony, or if there was more than one seizure.

Babies are proverbially easy to steal from, and California is going to swipe the very diapers off their bottoms. Of course, California Gov. Gavin Newsom has promised the opposite, announcing a program to provide “free” diapers to newborns. This is meant to appear as a generous and pro-baby plan, and Newsom was even applauded by some pro-life and pro-family writers and activists. But this is California, notorious for fraud and boondoggles ranging from fake hospices to the high-speed rail train to nowhere. So, in evaluating this program, it is pointless to try to parse the projected cost-per-diaper because California cannot accurately estimate such costs.
