Trump Admin’s Recent Pro-Second Amendment

The Trump Administration is on the move against Second Amendment infringements, and the American people are finally getting a glimpse of what it looks to have an executive branch that’s fully invested in protecting the right to keep and bear arms. Harmeet Dhillon, head of the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division, recently announced a new legal offensive against states and localities with gun laws that clearly run afoul of the Constitution. Her office just filed very strategic lawsuits against the city of Denver over its ordinance prohibiting so-called assault weapons, and against the state of Colorado over its ban on selling standard capacity magazines.

FTA: "The Trump Administration clearly understands what too many previous administrations refused to admit, that lawful gun ownership isn’t some problem for the government to solve, but a right that the government must protect." Yes, exactly. And it is perfect that this is coming from the Civil Rights Division of DoJ. Gun rights are civil rights. Lots of good examples of citizens defending themselves from violent criminals.

Xi Jinping's inward-facing actions, however, betray a deep sense of insecurity. Trump can take advantage of it. China's people — to the regime "building material" — are now extremely unhappy in the Communist Party "engineering state." Gloom, as a result, has descended over Chinese society. Xi has responded to the unhappiness in society by initiating a censorship campaign against "excessively pessimistic sentiment." Most significantly, he is not willing to implement structural changes to put more money in the pockets of the laobaixing, the common folk.

President Donald Trump has worked hard to forge a deal to end the U.S.-Iran war and avoid a wider conflict. But, as the latest I&I/TIPP Poll shows, Americans remain sharply split over the U.S. military action, and strongly oppose sending ground troops into Iran. The national online I&I/TIPP Poll, taken by 1,464 adults from April 28 to May 1, asked: “Do you support or oppose the United States military action against Iran?” The poll’s margin of error is +/-2.9 percentage points. Among all those responding, 43% said they support the U.S.-Iran war either strongly (23%) or somewhat (20%),

There was much fake news about the tech and finance leaders traveling with President Trump to China. Moments ago, President Trump corrects the record: TRUTH SOCIAL – “CNBC incorrectly reported that the Great Jensen Huang, of Nvidia, was not invited to the incredible gathering of the World’s Greatest Businessmen/women proudly going to China. In actuality, Jensen is currently on Air Force One and, unless I ask him to leave, which is highly unlikely, CNBC’s reporting is incorrect or, as they say in politics, FAKE NEWS!

President Donald Trump is eyeing oil-rich Venezuela as a potential 51st state as officials continue to court oil companies for investments in the South American country following the U.S. intervention that removed President Nicolas Maduro from power. Trump said in a phone call with Fox News that he is motivated by the estimated $40 trillion value of oil in Venezuela, adding that he is popular with the country's citizens. "Venezuela loves Trump," Trump said. After U.S. military officials captured Maduro in January, whom the Justice Department indicted on narco-terrorism charges, Trump said the United States would "run" the country during its transitional period and work with Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodriguez.

Recently, I say in the last two years, but especially the last three months, there’s been an increasing demonization of Israel and, by association, Jews who support it. We’ve seen these campus protests on American universities where they have these signs, “From the river to the sea.” That’s an eliminationist slogan that Israel would be wiped off the map from the Jordan River all the way into the Mediterranean Sea and, I guess, dumped into it. And, of course, we’ve had antisemitic incidents of students chasing Jewish students into a library and trapping them there,

Democrats have been scrambling, trying to distinguish themselves from each other in the California governor's race, but it hasn't been going well for them, especially when the top Republican candidates are both clearly better than any of the Democrats. You have to love their infighting because it shows how inappropriate all the Democrats are for the job. Former U.S. Representative Katie Porter was hard at it during an interview on CNN with Dana Bash. During that interview on CNN's "Inside Politics," Porter pointed a finger at her billionaire opponent in the race, Tom Steyer, for leaking a video of her screaming at a staffer.

Midterms are getting closer, and Republicans are going to need to go all in to show they are the better choice. Midterms historically tend to run against the party in power, so they have that deficit up front. But wins in the redistricting battle have been buoying Republican hopes. Plus, it's been quite something to watch Democrats like House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (NY-08) lose their minds and attack the courts when they lose. It's why they're screaming and scrambling to stop the GOP redistricting wins, even postulating nutty schemes like trying to boot the Virginia Supreme Court judges who voted in a way they didn't like.

T]here are people who suffer genuine anti-Muslim hatred, bigotry, and discrimination based on their faith or perceived identity. This must always be challenged and addressed, as it undermines pluralism and social cohesion. On the other hand, Islamist organizations have deliberately weaponized the term Islamophobia to shut down scrutiny of their ideology and political activities. By labeling criticism of Islamist ideas or networks as 'Islamophobic,' they deliberately blur the line between protecting people and protecting an ideology. This is why Islamophobia is the wrong term—it places an ideology beyond criticism rather than safeguarding individuals from hatred." — From "The Muslim Brotherhood's Strategic Entryism Into the United States:

Few predicted that blaming Israel and the Jews who support it would flare up in the early 21st century—and in America of all places, where there are nearly as many Jews as there are in Israel. After all, Israel is the only consensual society in the Middle East. It holds regular elections and maintains tripartite judicial, executive, and legislative checks and balances. Free speech is found in the Middle East only in Israel, where religious apostasy, criticism of one’s own country, gender equity, and tolerance of gays are guaranteed in marked contrast to all its neighbors. It was once common knowledge that Israel had survived the huge numbers of —

The US Senate on Thursday unanimously approved a resolution to withhold their pay during a government shutdown. The resolution, adopted by voice vote, was authored by Republican Senator John Kennedy (LA). “My resolution to stop senators’ pay during government shutdowns cleared a key procedural vote today, moving it one step closer to final passage,” Kennedy said on Wednesday afternoon ahead of the Thursday vote. “Fair-minded Americans know senators should feel the pain of a shutdown with the American people,” Kennedy said. Kennedy’s resolution suspends Senators’ pay during partial or full government shutdowns. “It’s called shared sacrifice,” Kennedy said.

James Erdman III is testifying today before the US Senate Homeland Security Committee, and he is blowing the whistle on the CIA's willingness to bow to Dr. Anthony Fauci's insistence that COVID did not originate in lab leak, likely tied to gain-of-function research. No surprise there, I have to say. At the time, the CIA agreed to withhold its conclusion that the most likely explanation for COVID's spread was a lab leak, although it has subsequently stated that the lab leak was likely. BOMBSHELL: Here is the entire opening statement from CIA whistleblower James Erdman lll. He testifies that Dr. Fauci's role in the COVID cover-up was INTENTIONAL.

A breaking news alert from Fox News, apparently confirmed by a Republican congresswoman, states that the Central Intelligence Agency went rogue, raiding the office of the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) to seize files. It seems from the Fox News report that the CIA seized the files just now, though a whistleblower from the agency who testified to Congress today referred to the wrongful seizure of files in his testimony. It is therefore not clear if the raid occurred today or before the testimony, or if there was more than one seizure.

Leftists already loved him for being a Muslim, a migrant, and an America-hating Marxist, and now they love him all the more, for don’t you see, he has proven, in the teeth of racist, xenophobic, far-right opposition, that socialism works! House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries is having a rough time right now. For months, the Speaker’s gavel looked to be easily within his reach come November, but recent developments have made it look like it could slip away. He’s a little touchy about it. During a press conference on Wednesday, Jeffries had a bit of a tantrum, not only invoking the Confederacy but snapping at a CNN reporter who dared to ask him a question. Last month, the Supreme Court issued a 6-3 ruling in Louisiana v. Callais, striking down Louisiana’s congressional map as an unconstitutional racial gerrymander. The ruling opened the door for several red states to redistrict

Babies are proverbially easy to steal from, and California is going to swipe the very diapers off their bottoms. Of course, California Gov. Gavin Newsom has promised the opposite, announcing a program to provide “free” diapers to newborns. This is meant to appear as a generous and pro-baby plan, and Newsom was even applauded by some pro-life and pro-family writers and activists. But this is California, notorious for fraud and boondoggles ranging from fake hospices to the high-speed rail train to nowhere. So, in evaluating this program, it is pointless to try to parse the projected cost-per-diaper because California cannot accurately estimate such costs.

The youngster was an unintended target in the broad daylight shootout — which sent panicked residents scattering for shelter, the sources added. She was taken to Harlem Hospital in stable condition, cops said.
