Make The Midterms The Spirit Airlines Election

Original Article

If there’s a lesson to be learned from the collapse of Spirit Airlines, it is that today’s Democratic Party should never be in charge of anything. Does that seem like a stretch? Not when you consider the facts. Four years ago, Spirit and JetBlue started talking about merging operations. Spirit was struggling to stay afloat, thanks in part to the massive run-up in inflation under President Joe Biden. The merger would have been a lifeline to Spirit and would have ensured low-cost competition survived. But Democrats — led by Sen. Elizabeth Warren — decided that they knew better.

Not that I would have ever flown with Spirit, communista Lya-what-the-hell-a didn’t kill the merger for the benefit of anyone but herself. There’s a persistent rumor she sold 20,000 shares of stock in Spirit before blocking the merger, making her a nice tidy sum. Since confirmation via financial disclosure takes time, we shall see. This stinks to high heaven if true. Par for the course for criminal Dems like her.

No doubt that the dims can't get this debacle of theirs out of the news cycle soon enough. What a crying shame that the dims set this airline up to fail by blocking the merger. In addition to Warren, Buttplugs and the Garlic Man have similar blood on their hands for letting Spirit go under. You can sure tell whose interests this corrupt trio had in mind during the merger proceedings in 2024. And it sure wasn't Spirit's. It's up to the pubbies to keep this in the news cycle all the way through the midterms and beyond.

My guess is that this airline failure isn't going to register for 95% of Americans, and it will therefore not be significant in their voting choices, unfortunately. And, I don't really know if Spirit combining with JetBlue would have helped either or both.

Thousands of jobs lost directly attributable to the efforts of Dim politicians and the Biden administration. I agree that this should be loudly hung around the necks of Democrats heading into mid-terms. At least those who've lost their jobs are hopefully more likely to vote GOP.

As much as $16 trillion has been spent worldwide to defeat global warming. It could have been twice that and it would never be enough because the climate hustlers need to keep the dollars rolling in to line their own pockets. Now we finally have an Environmental Protection Agency chief who’s exposing the racket. Testifying last week before a Senate committee, EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin told lawmakers that the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund, a $27 billion stash that was created through the Biden administration’s Inflation Reduction Act, is a con. Sen. Elizabeth Warren was not happy when the Senate Banking Committee voted to advance Kevin Warsh’s nomination to lead the Federal Reserve, saying it would amount to a takeover of the Fed by President Donald Trump. No surprise there. For today’s Democrats, everything Trump does is either illegal, a threat to Democracy, or fascistic. But then Warren said that “The Trump economy is in real trouble. Inflation is up, job creation is down. The stink of stagflation is in the air, and President Trump is getting desperate.” Is any of that true?

In a decision that shouldn’t have surprised anyone, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that Democrats can no longer create safe electoral fiefdoms based on race to win elections, calling it “racial gerrymandering.” It’s about time. The ruling essentially “neuters,” as some put it, Section 2 of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. PJ Media scribe Matt Margolis called the decision “one of the most consequential redistricting decisions in a generation.” That’s not hyperbole. And it was long overdue. While still upholding the landmark Voting Rights Act, a 6-3 conservative majority found that a redrawing of Louisiana’s congressional

For more than three decades, it’s been almost invariably accepted in policymaking circles that fossil fuel use has to be reduced and then eliminated altogether if we are to save the planet. But the second Trump administration has restored reason and logic to the energy and environment debate. Every American who enjoys the life-giving benefits of fossil fuels today should be thankful. Monday’s entertaining exchange between Environmental Protection Agency Director Lee Zeldin and Democratic Rep. Rosa DeLauro from Connecticut, who seems to have never been hinged to reality, is a bright spot we’ve needed for some time.

Revelations that the leftist Southern Poverty Law Center had been funding “hard right” extremist groups raise an important question beyond whether or not it was defrauding donors. The question is: If right-wing hate is so prevalent in America, why does the left have to fund it? We’re still learning what it is, exactly, that the SPLC has been up to, but what we’ve learned so far is pretty damning. The group — whose “hate map” holds tremendous sway with the press, politicians, and corporate America — was apparently raising money on the promise that it would stamp out hate groups, then use some

Against our better judgment, we decided to read Cole Allen’s “manifesto,” written before he tried to carry out what officials say was his plot to kill President Donald Trump and various other administration officials. When we did, we were surprised at how ordinary it was. Ordinary in the sense that it sounded like just about any Democrat or TDS sufferer you talk to these days. Allen says he’s “no longer willing to permit a pedophile, rapist, and traitor to coat my hands with his crimes.” Gee, where have we heard language like this before?

Americans have always dreamt of a national come-together moment when all felt unified in purpose and intent. But, as the latest I&I/TIPP Poll shows, unity among America’s many factions and demographics has been elusive since the start of this decade. Each month, the national online I&I/TIPP Poll asks Americans across the nation whether they would say the U.S. is “very united,” “somewhat united,” “somewhat divided,” “very divided,” or simply “not sure.” From this, I&I/TIPP creates a national Unity Index, which allows for comparisons over time. What is it saying?

America’s real insurrection is a long-term project of the country’s Democrats. It appears to have hit some snags, however. Maybe, as their carefully constructed facade begins to crumble, we’ll be able to save our republic after all. The power and influence of the Democratic Party over the past two to three decades has been built on appearances. The legacy media, of course, are committed comrades and make it appear as if today’s party of the left is no different than it was in the days of John F. Kennedy. In truth, though, it is far more radical, blatantly anti-American, and outright corrupt.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom must be kicking himself after what Democrats just managed to pull off in Virginia. Not too long ago, Newsom was bragging about a referendum that “suspended” a constitutional amendment so Democrats could gerrymander five Republican districts out of existence. But that still leaves four California seats that will likely be occupied by Republicans after the midterms. And this is in a state that hasn’t seen a Republican governor in 15 years, a Republican senator in 34 years, where Democrats have a supermajority in the legislature, and a state that Kamala Harris won by

The world will celebrate Earth Day on Wednesday. It will be, as it always has been, a festival of nonsense that has more downside than it does benefits. The first Earth Day was held on April 22, 1970, the 100th birthday of communist revolutionary Vladimir Lenin. Probably just a coincidence, but “given that most of the modern environmentalist movement grew out of the far left student movement of the 1960s,” it is, as a Competitive Enterprise Institute scholar once said, “all too fitting.” “Most environmental economists of the time believed that only socialist countries would ably protect the environment, because

Cole Tomas Allen, a resident of Torrance, California, was placed under suicide watch at the D.C. jail because he allegedly told the FBI that he expected to die during the shooting. Suicide watch protocols mandated Allen remain on a 24-hour lockdown in a "safe cell," with no phone access to call or receive visits from anyone other than his legal team. Prosecutor Jocelyn Ballantine claimed that since Allen told investigators he did not expect to survive the alleged attack,

Another pharmacy is leaving Chicago because of theft, and somehow, the villain of the story is not the people stealing from it. The villain is apparently the business itself, which finally decided it had enough and decided to cut its losses. According to a report from the Chicago Sun-Times, a Walgreens located at 8628 S. Cottage Grove Ave. in the crime-ridden area is set to close permanently on June 4. Democratic Alderman William Hall joined residents outside the store Monday, where signs read “Senior Lives Matter” and “End Corporate Abandonment.” “Walgreens should be charged with first-degree corporate abandonment,” Hall said. “It should be a crime the way they’re treating our elders.

South Carolina GOP Rep. Nancy Mace claimed Monday that Congress’ sexual harassment slush fund allegedly paid for settlements for a handful of former lawmakers that equaled more than $300,000. Mace promised accountability for the victims, and the House paid out approximately $338,000 to settle the cases. One former lawmaker was targeted in sexual assault lawsuits three times and the House cumulatively paid out $115,000 to dismiss those cases. The House Oversight panel subpoenaed information detailing the government payouts after a March committee vote, seeking a full accounting of payouts made before the settlements ended in 2018, according to Politico.

In its recent Callais decision, the Supreme Court held that districts gerrymandered solely so that blacks can have a separate and special say in politics are unconstitutional. While past elections cannot be changed, future elections must be corrected. Callais asked that the Court immediately certify the decision, which is normally a 32-day process. Louisiana agreed. Because November’s elections are quickly approaching, the Supreme Court held that, yes, it could immediately certify the opinion. Callais is final. Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson issued a strong dissent to this procedural holding. She opened by pointing out that Louisiana

The Supreme Court ruled Monday its prior ruling on race-based congressional districts takes immediate effect. The order {SEE HERE} speeds up the normal 32-day timeline and puts the State of Louisiana on notice their current districts are not constitutional. Effectively the Louisiana Governor and legislature have delayed the election to address the districts. However, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson was not happy with the immediacy ruling and wrote a dissent that was so ridiculous none of the other minority justices would sign on to it. Jackson said the majority “unshackles itself” from “constraints.” The court should follow the default rule, she insisted.

The suspected hantavirus outbreak on the MV Hondius cruise ship, which has killed three people and sickened at least seven others, has two likely causes — and both are bad news for the 150 passengers on board, experts said. The more likely scenario would be passengers contracting the virus from the feces, urine or saliva of infected rats or mice. That’s the usual transmission vector, according to physician Zaid Fadul, a former Air Force flight surgeon — although the World Health Organization insisted Tuesday that no rodents have been found on the stranded liner. But there’s one strain of the hantavirus that has an alarming exception —

Maryland governor Wes Moore’s (D.) military service record has once again come under scrutiny, with a coalition of local news outlets reporting a slew of gaps and discrepancies in his file that suggest the presidential hopeful treated his 17 years in the military as little more than a ticket-punch for his political career. The scrutiny—from a coalition of local news outlets called Spotlight on Maryland—once again stems from claims Moore made in the application he submitted to serve as a White House fellow in 2006, a position that served as the launchpad for his political career. Moore has already faced considerable scrutiny for falsely
