They asked President Donald Trump if he was "nervous" about it happening again, another assassination attempt. There have already been multiple efforts. Trump said, "I don't think about it... If I did, I wouldn't be effective." That's a pretty astonishing answer, but at this point, after Saturday, he seems to have adopted a very zen approach to it. He was remarkably calm about it on Saturday, even giving a briefing right after it happened. He seemed more concerned about checking on and reassuring everyone else then.

CNN's senior data analyst, Harry Enten, had a bit of a surprise on Thursday about President Donald Trump's numbers. "I think what we’re seeing right now in the numbers is President Trump and the Republican Party are chipping away at the long-term advantage that Democrats have had with black voters, with African-Americans," Enten said. He explained how Trump had been at 12 percent with black voters, "He’s gaining — he’s gaining ground with African-Americans. He’s up to 16 percent at this point." One has to think that these numbers are going to make Democrats very nervous. And they would be right to be nervous.

Do you ever wonder why so many Blue states refuse to hand over their voter rolls to the federal government? After all, there is a federal law that requires certain measures to ensure ballot integrity, passed in the wake of the 2000 Florida debacle. It requires, among other things, that states clean their voter rolls of ineligible voters. But these states refuse to do that, and they refuse to show that they aren't breaking federal law. For decades, the mental health industry and its allies in media, government, and education have operated on a simple assumption: the more mental health awareness we spread, through campaigns, school programs, social media, and public service announcements, the better. Raise awareness, reduce stigma, encourage help-seeking, and mental health will surely improve. New evidence shows the opposite is happening. Well-intentioned awareness efforts are actively backfiring, manufacturing distress, inflating diagnoses, and turning normal human emotions into chronic “disorders.” The shocking result is that these campaigns are turning mentally fit people into self-diagnosed mentally ill patients, with symptoms effectively “contracted” from the awareness messages themselves.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren was not happy when the Senate Banking Committee voted to advance Kevin Warsh’s nomination to lead the Federal Reserve, saying it would amount to a takeover of the Fed by President Donald Trump. Lawmakers last week approved a bill that would ban three toxic chemicals — red dye 3, potassium bromate, and propylparaben — from food sold in the state, while requiring manufacturers to disclose other additives. A Biden-appointed federal judge in Rhode Island has ordered the release of a Dominican illegal alien who is the subject of an Interpol Red Notice for murder in his home country. The criminal illegal alien, Bryan Rafael Gomez, was arrested by ICE Boston in Worcester, Massachusetts on April 4th. He had just been picked up locally for domestic abuse when a background check revealed Dominican authorities issued a criminal arrest warrant against him for homicide in 2023. He is also the subject of an active Interpol Red Notice, an international arrest warrant for murder.

The body of a missing Republican Oklahoma state Senate candidate was found inside a truck in a rural area, according to authorities and reports. Barry Christian, a 54-year-old candidate for District 38 in western Oklahoma, was discovered dead on Thursday after he mysteriously vanished just two days prior, his campaign said in a news release obtained by KOCO. The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation confirmed to the outlet that Christian’s 2024 charcoal gray Ram truck was found just off Highway 30, south of Erick, with a body inside. A Justice Department bounty program that incentivizes employees to blow the whistle on their employers could lead to more whistleblowing as the Trump administration intensifies its crackdown on diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. The Trump administration is investigating major companies under the False Claims Act — a federal law the Justice Department uses to take action against contractors alleged to have defrauded the government and recoup substantial damages. Last year, the Justice Department established a task force to investigate federal contractors for alleged violations of the False Claims Act. It said this week it has seen a "rapid increase" in whistleblower complaints filed in recent years.

A new report released Thursday by the Task Force to Eradicate Anti-Christian Bias reveals what investigators describe as a "stark contrast" and a systemic double standard in how the Biden Internal Revenue Service policed American churches. “The Biden IRS … [opened] multiple investigations into Christian churches focused on the content of their sermons.
