Forget covering protests — some reporters think they should be the ones making the ruckus.
A group of over 250 journalists implored members of the Beltway press corps to “forcefully demonstrate opposition” to President Trump at the ritzy White House Correspondents’ Dinner on Saturday.
Trump, 79, is set to attend the swanky dinner for the first time in his presidency. But the group of 250 reporters is demanding that the White House Correspondents’ Association (WHCA) ensure he doesn’t feel welcome. We believe the White House Correspondents Association should take stronger action by issuing — from the podium —

Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson is distinguishing herself on the U.S. Supreme Court — and not in a positive way. It’s as though she’s positioned on an island defined by woke ideology, racial justice, and equity, while the other eight justices remain on the mainland of restraint.
For proper context, it’s important to know about a case that was in front of her and the other members of the court.
The case centered on an early morning police stop in Washington, D.C., where a Metropolitan Police officer responded to a call about what was described as a suspicious vehicle. At around 2 a.m., the officer approached the car, and immediately

By almost any analysis, Christianity is the superior religion. Of all, Christianity reigns supreme. Christianity has positively transformed the entire world. Even now, ill-informed leftists don’t realize most of their thoughts on the dignity of the human and individual freedom -- and hundreds more -- are due to Christianity.
Thomas Jefferson noted, “Had the doctrines of Jesus been preached always as pure as they came from his lips, the whole civilized world would now have been Christians.”
And if one is going to become a Christian it would seem that His Church, the Catholic Church, should be the choice. The other denominations were

PORTLAND, Maine—Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D., Mass.) campaigned Saturday alongside Graham Platner, the left-wing candidate in the Maine Democratic Senate primary who has praised Hamas and until recently sported a tattoo of a Nazi symbol. Warren said Platner "has the values" to serve in the upper chamber and would bring "accountability" to Washington, D.C.
Platner "is a man who not only has the values, but a man who believes in accountability, and we need a little accountability coming out of Washington right now," Warren told attendees at a packed Holiday Inn ballroom. "Billionaires don't want to pay taxes, and nobody in Washington will get in that fight. Well, Graham Platner's gonna."

A violent “group of juveniles” allegedly chased a Philadelphia college student across campus and into a residence hall before beating him in a vicious, caught-on-video attack.
The assault happened around 2:50 a.m. Sunday at Temple University, when the teens chased the student into the Morgan Hall South dorm, according to the Temple University Police Department.
“Once inside, the group struck the student and damaged university property,” police said.
The unidentified student sustained minor injuries in the attack and declined medical treatment at the scene.
The damage caused inside the residence hall by the thugs included a smashed monitor at the security desk, ABC6 reported.

A school district in the Minneapolis suburbs is remodeling two high schools to fit "student needs," by which it means adding a prayer room and foot-washing facilities specifically for Muslims. Alpha News senior reporter Liz Collin posted on X April 20 the following screenshots regarding plans for a specifically configured "prayer room" as part of Park Center Senior High's remodel and "footwash[s]" as part of Osseo Senior High School's remodel. The Osseo Schools in Minnesota confirmed the updates and claimed they were "included in updated plans after hearing from user groups on student needs." The person who sent in the tip to Collin noted that this prayer room is not

Failed Democratic vice presidential nominee and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz is launching a political committee aimed at rural communities despite massive fraud scandals in his home state and his recent pledge to stand with Minnesota’s Somali community.
Walz announced on Monday:
Today, we’re launching Small Town PAC.
We’re going to show up in small towns, organize in places too many people have given up on, and build power with the folks who call these places home.
If Democrats want to win in more places, we’ve got to start showing up in more places.

The newest Gaza freedom flotilla has come under the spotlight – not because of its stated aim of “breaking the Israeli siege on Gaza” – but because a senior member was accused of sexual misconduct.
The scandal began shortly after the flotilla set sail from Barcelona on April 12, when the Palestinian group Heart of Falastin claimed that “a senior member of the flotilla, a member of the steering committee, the highest governing body of the organization, code named B.L. for their protection (not ours), engaged in sexual relations with multiple activists while on the boat heading toward Gaza. Not one person. Not two. Three different individuals.”
Heart of Falastin then said,

Washington — Democratic Rep. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick of Florida resigned from Congress on Tuesday, moments before the House Ethics Committee was set to determine whether she should be sanctioned for allegations of theft and other misconduct.
Cherfilus-McCormick has been charged with stealing nearly $5 million in Federal Emergency Management Agency funds for her campaign and has pleaded not guilty. She was likely to be expelled from the House in the coming days if she had not resigned.
"This was not a fair process," Cherfilus-McCormick said in a statement. "Rather than play these political games, I choose to step away so that I can devote my time to fighting for my neighbors

The Montana Supreme Court struck a blow to biological reality by allowing Montanans who claim to be transgender amend birth certificates and change driver’s licenses to match their self-proclaimed “gender identity.”
The state’s high court ruled 5-2 on Tuesday to uphold a lower court’s preliminary injunction of a 2022 policy that mandates Montanans have birth certificates and IDs that match their biological sex. The court ruled that the policy likely goes against the state constitution’s Equal Protection Clause.
“Transgender discrimination is, by its very nature, sex discrimination,” the court claimed in its opinion, ultimately rejecting biological reality.

Each month, the I&I/TIPP Poll reports on President Donald Trump’s favorability and approval among voters. But what about Vice President J.D. Vance? I&I/TIPP has numbers for him too, and they make for interesting insights into Vance’s approval by the voting public and his potential as a presidential candidate in 2028.
The numbers, as we noted above, come from monthly national online opinion soundings of approximately 1,400 adults, spread across all regions and 36 demographic groups. With over 15 months of data, starting in February of 2025, some clear trends emerge.
Overall, it’s a good news, bad news scenario

A great deal of national news coverage concerning Virginia has focused on the attempt by its new Democratic governor, Abigail Spanberger, and her confederates in the General Assembly to circumvent the commonwealth’s constitution in order to radically gerrymander the state’s congressional district map. This maneuver has, however, overshadowed another of their equally dubious legislative actions. A bill proposing that Virginia join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact (NPVIC) passed both houses of the General Assembly in February, and Gov. Spanberger signed it into law on April 13.
