It’s remarkable how the real world always illustrates the Founders’ wisdom, graphically and undeniably. Take the current situation in Iran. It’s a country with a great history, full of intelligent people run by a bunch of backward, semi-human savages with a ridiculous apocalyptic theology that is so brutal it killed 30,000 or so of its own people a few months ago just to stay in power. And now it’s still in power, at least over its own people, despite the United States and Israel righteously devastating its conventional military capabilities. I don't actually know how many AR-15 rifles I own. I build them up myself, mostly, and have lots and lots of parts, and never bothered to count how many I have put together. And some are at the vacation home, and some at one other country home and some in the suburban home....but, there are plenty and plenty of ammo.

I don't own a single AR-15. Got a bunch other semi-auto noisemakers in calibers larger than .223/5.56, though, and a couple of very accurate bolt actions chambered in a good hunting calibers. I'm good.

You'll be heartened to know that, even after Justin Castreau's ban of over 2,000 models of rifle, pistol, and shotgun, 90% of gun owners in Canada haven't budged, haven't "sold" their firearms in government "buybacks" (as if their guns had been purchased from the government in the first place). Their attitude, similar to ours, seems to be: Come and get 'em! Eh? (Canada is America's hat.) A lot of Aussies--probably a clear majority in that gun controlled nation--have quietly held on to their bang sticks as well, knowing that they're safer with them. Not everyone is stupid. Not everyone is Albanian--er, Albanese.

Democratic Connecticut Sen. Chris Murphy is under fire after a one-word social media post fueled accusations he was a "traitor" cheering against the United States amid the war in Iran. "Awesome," Murphy wrote on X in response to a post reporting that 26 ships in Iran's shadow fleet have made it past the US blockade in the Gulf of Oman. Murphy’s post adds to his long-running criticism of President Donald Trump’s foreign policy and revived scrutiny over his past posture toward Iran, giving critics fresh ammunition to cast the Connecticut Democrat as hostile to U.S. interests. Social media commenters unleashed on Murphy for the message, with some asking if his account was "hacked"

The April 11 protest conducted by the “resistance” at the Whipple Federal Building in the Twin Cities culminated in an assault on TPUSA reporter Savanah Hernandez. The assault was captured on video. Among the perpetrators were “suburban dad” Chris Ostroushko and suburban daughter Paige. Suburban mom DeYanna Ostroushko was in the mix as well. I call them the family that flays together. Chris was of course featured in the January 27 Star Tribune profile “This suburban dad’s rant became touchpoint of ICE opposition.” The profile by Rachel Hutton constituted one small part of the Star Tribune’s daily support of “ICE opposition” during Operation Metro Surge. Although Metro Surge has ended,

A curious characteristic of totalitarian communist regimes is the dearth, if not the total absence, of comedy. No comedy films were ever made in the Soviet Union or in any of the other communist countries. In fact, cinemas in communist countries were almost always empty, the films being so mind-numbingly abysmal. (One time in Havana, the government allowed American films to be shown in a theater and the lines stretched around the block, whereupon the government arrested the attendees inside the theater.) In the Soviet Union, circuses were a major source of popular entertainment, devoid of the usual crude propaganda. The favorite aspect of Soviet circuses were the clowns, when the

Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson is distinguishing herself on the U.S. Supreme Court — and not in a positive way. It’s as though she’s positioned on an island defined by woke ideology, racial justice, and equity, while the other eight justices remain on the mainland of restraint. For proper context, it’s important to know about a case that was in front of her and the other members of the court. The case centered on an early morning police stop in Washington, D.C., where a Metropolitan Police officer responded to a call about what was described as a suspicious vehicle. At around 2 a.m., the officer approached the car, and immediately

They’ve unmasked themselves as lying, bigoted click-whores. Carlson’s career was longer; Owens’ was shorter. But for a brief, flickering moment in the 2010s, both were considered credible, trustworthy journalists and/or mainstream conservative “influencers.” Turning Pont USA and The Daily Wire boosted Owens; Carlson was the beneficiary of the (exceptionally) well-oiled NewsCorp PR machine. Its latest effort targeting FBI Director Kash Patel may be its most reckless yet — and this time, the bureau is fighting back with lawyers. The piece, written by reporters Sarah Fitzpatrick and Jonathan Lemire, claims that on Friday, April 10, Patel struggled to log into an internal FBI computer system while wrapping up his workday. The event features 500 participants reading Scripture, from Genesis to Revelation. It’s an amazing endeavor that the nation is ripe for, because I believe that a revival has already begun. We are long past due for the kind of revival that sees thousands of people pouring into the streets, filling stadiums, and banging down church doors to praise their God. The court ruled that the policy likely goes against the state constitution’s Equal Protection Clause. “Transgender discrimination is, by its very nature, sex discrimination,” the court claimed in its opinion, ultimately rejecting biological reality.

A great deal of national news coverage concerning Virginia has focused on the attempt by its new Democratic governor, Abigail Spanberger, and her confederates in the General Assembly to circumvent the commonwealth’s constitution in order to radically gerrymander the state’s congressional district map. This maneuver has, however, overshadowed another of their equally dubious legislative actions. A bill proposing that Virginia join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact (NPVIC) passed both houses of the General Assembly in February, and Gov. Spanberger signed it into law on April 13.
