So, basically, what the United States is doing is saying, we’re going to control the strait, and we’re going to let anybody who wants to do business with Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq, but not Iran. And Iran’s island, Kharg Island, where almost 90% of its oil is, you think they were so smart that they would—they have a port on the other side of the strait, but they were so arrogant and thought that they were always going to intimidate everybody, and no one was ever going to intimidate them. They never did what Oman, the Emirates did, and put a port that was a sizable—they have one—

The beautiful thing is, now all Trump needs to do, as suggested in the article, is smile and promise to talk and give them nothing, and continue to block Iran's ships until the country has completely economically collapsed. Maybe backchannel support the Iranian resistance with weapons. If Iran launches missiles, counter strike massively and then go back to waiting with an economic stranglehold on their necks. By mid July they would have lost $13 BILLION dollars and have a wrecked country. The BEST solution is for the resistance to eliminate the Mullahs and then we could negotiate in good faith. We will see.

The MSM and Democrats were constantly telling us these past two months that President Trump didn’t have a plan and didn’t know what he was doing. But, he had a plan, a Big Beautiful Plan, and the Iran regime and TDS crowd were too blind with hate to see it coming. As VDH points out, all we have to do is wait until the remains of the regime implodes. What is more, President Trump gave the regime honorable off ramps that they we too foolish to take. Now the MSM and the Democrats have egg on their face due to their foolish actions to discredit President Trump.

With likes of the Kenyan and Joe Dementia in the Oval Office they were not entirely wrong in thinking that they would never be intimidated. Their big mistake was they didn’t anticipate the rise of Donald Trump. Lot of people have made that mistake.

Forgive me for repeating, but how is the US gonna negotiate with terrorists? As a practical matter... They dont care if you cause pain. They're counting on it. They're not gonna give up power. Do you think they can go back to being plumbers?

President Trump on Sunday threatened to continue bombing Iran if they don't accept the fair deal the U.S. will offer during negotiations that will take place in Pakistan on Monday. "Iran decided to fire bullets yesterday in the Strait of Hormuz — A Total Violation of our Ceasefire Agreement! Many of them were aimed at a French Ship, and a Freighter from the United Kingdom. That wasn’t nice, was it? My Representatives are going to Islamabad, Pakistan — They will be there tomorrow evening, for Negotiations. Iran recently announced that they were closing the Strait, which is strange,

Mojtaba Khamenei, the new supreme leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, still hasn’t been seen in public since he was named to his exalted new position. Reuters reported that “three people close to his inner circle” said that the world’s most prominent nepo baby was severely injured in the airstrike that killed his father, suffering disfigurement to his face and reportedly also losing a leg. Nevertheless, in a new message on Telegram Saturday, the younger Khamenei was full of threats and bravado, and ready to give the Great Satan and Little Satan a whipping they won’t soon forget.

Two recent happenings in Annapolis reveal a disturbing truth. Even in this post-"MeToo” age, politicians who make inappropriate comments toward women remain sadly common. It becomes especially jarring when those comments are captured on state-run media and reported, somewhat cheekily, in the local press. That’s what happened in early March when Maryland’s First Lady, Dawn Moore, appeared before the Senate Finance Committee. It isn’t every day that the governor’s wife sits in the witness chair, and her appearance understandably drew attention. During the hearing, Sen. Ben Cramer (D-Montgomery) —

Possibly the most amusing fake news item Saturday morning came from The New York Times. Under the rubric “Iran War Live Updates,” a headline screamed, “Iran’s Military Says It Has Reimposed ‘Strict Control’ of Strait of Hormuz.” To which an inquiring mind wants to know, “What Iran military?” It’s gone, Kemo Sabe. The floating bits are at the bottom of the sea. The terrestrial bits have been crushed, blasted, pulverized, or incinerated. Ditto most of the bits that flew. Which is why a healthy skepticism must severely discount the Times’s breathless comment —

Election integrity advocates are applauding a Nebraska measure that will stop foreign funding of ballot issue campaigns and ensure that elections are decided by American citizens alone. Executive director of Honest Elections Project Action Jason Snead told The Center Square that “ballot measures are critical elections that can remake constitutions, redefine our rights, and rewrite the rules of our elections.” “No foreign billionaire or foreign-funded group should be able to interfere in decisions as essential as this, and ballot measures should never be a Trojan Horse for foreign influence,” Snead said.

Speaking recently from war-torn Cameroon, Pope Leo XIV’s remarks were clearly intended for an audience more significant than those in attendance. “The world is being ravaged by a handful of tyrants,” he said. “The masters of war pretend not to know that it takes only a moment to destroy, yet often a lifetime is not enough to rebuild.” The pontiff's remarks were the latest volley in a high-profile war of words between the leader of the world’s 1.4 billion Catholics and President Donald Trump, home to over 342 million people.

Former President Barack Obama urged Virginian voters to approve a ballot initiative granting state lawmakers the authority to redraw the state's congressional districts to heavily favor Democrats. The former Democratic president framed the vote as a way for voters to "level the playing field" after several Republican states redrew their maps mid-decade to gain an advantage in the November midterm elections. "By voting yes, you can push back against the Republicans trying to give themselves an unfair advantage in the midterms," Obama said in the video, which was shared with ABC News.

At the behest of abortion activist groups, the Biden administration’s Department of Justice weaponized the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act to disproportionately prosecute and jail pro-lifers for exercising their First Amendment-protected right to protest, a new report reveals. The 882-page report released on Tuesday details, with five key findings, exactly how the DOJ under Biden executed its years-long lawfare campaign that put nearly two dozen of its pro-life political opponents in prison. The investigation was triggered by President Donald Trump’s February 2025 “Eradicating Anti-Christian Bias” executive order and former Attorney General Pam Bondi’s simultaneous “Restoring the Integrity and Credibility of the Department of Justice” memo.

Argentina President Javier Milei recently had some sharp words for the political left. But his observation is backed by more than his experience. Research makes it clear that the various strains of leftism, from today’s American Democratic Party to Democratic Socialists to green radicals to the tens of millions of voters who are attracted to progressive candidates and policies, are fueled by an emotional crisis. We beg our brothers and sisters on the left to consider why they do what they do. Milei, a defender of laissez-faire economic policy, said he once “thought being on the left was a mental problem.”

The issue is no longer whether the regime in Tehran is under strain — it clearly is — but whether Washington is preparing, consciously or not, to replace a brutal clerical dictatorship with a brutal military one. The idea that a military structure could serve as a "moderate" transitional governing authority in Iran seems to rest on the fragile assumption that professionalism leads to moderation. Regional history says otherwise. From Egypt to Pakistan, militaries that stepped in to "restore order" entrenched their own authoritarian rule. Iran offers no reason to believe it would be different.

By almost any analysis, Christianity is the superior religion. Of all, Christianity reigns supreme. Christianity has positively transformed the entire world. Even now, ill-informed leftists don’t realize most of their thoughts on the dignity of the human and individual freedom -- and hundreds more -- are due to Christianity. Thomas Jefferson noted, “Had the doctrines of Jesus been preached always as pure as they came from his lips, the whole civilized world would now have been Christians.” And if one is going to become a Christian it would seem that His Church, the Catholic Church, should be the choice. The other denominations were

Warren said Platner "has the values" to serve in the upper chamber and would bring "accountability" to Washington, D.C. Platner "is a man who not only has the values, but a man who believes in accountability, and we need a little accountability coming out of Washington right now," Warren told attendees at a packed Holiday Inn ballroom. "Billionaires don't want to pay taxes, and nobody in Washington will get in that fight. Well, Graham Platner's gonna."

The newest Gaza freedom flotilla has come under the spotlight – not because of its stated aim of “breaking the Israeli siege on Gaza” – but because a senior member was accused of sexual misconduct. The scandal began shortly after the flotilla set sail from Barcelona on April 12, when the Palestinian group Heart of Falastin claimed that “a senior member of the flotilla, a member of the steering committee, the highest governing body of the organization, code named B.L. for their protection (not ours), engaged in sexual relations with multiple activists while on the boat heading toward Gaza. Not one person. Not two. Three different individuals.” Heart of Falastin then said,

A great deal of national news coverage concerning Virginia has focused on the attempt by its new Democratic governor, Abigail Spanberger, and her confederates in the General Assembly to circumvent the commonwealth’s constitution in order to radically gerrymander the state’s congressional district map. This maneuver has, however, overshadowed another of their equally dubious legislative actions. A bill proposing that Virginia join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact (NPVIC) passed both houses of the General Assembly in February, and Gov. Spanberger signed it into law on April 13.

The Montana Supreme Court struck a blow to biological reality by allowing Montanans who claim to be transgender amend birth certificates and change driver’s licenses to match their self-proclaimed “gender identity.” The state’s high court ruled 5-2 on Tuesday to uphold a lower court’s preliminary injunction of a 2022 policy that mandates Montanans have birth certificates and IDs that match their biological sex. The court ruled that the policy likely goes against the state constitution’s Equal Protection Clause. “Transgender discrimination is, by its very nature, sex discrimination,” the court claimed in its opinion, ultimately rejecting biological reality.

Thanks to having a hometown builder-in-chief in the White House, New York has a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to create an iconic landmark in the dingiest part of Midtown that would rival Rockefeller Center, Central Park or the Empire State Building. At the same time, the squalid underground rathole we call Penn Station would become an uplifting experience for the hundreds of thousands of downtrodden commuters who feel disrespected every day when they pass through. But the long-promised Penn Station redevelopment still may end up as a mediocre compromise because of the big stumbling block of Madison Square Garden, which sits right on top of everything,

Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson is distinguishing herself on the U.S. Supreme Court — and not in a positive way. It’s as though she’s positioned on an island defined by woke ideology, racial justice, and equity, while the other eight justices remain on the mainland of restraint. For proper context, it’s important to know about a case that was in front of her and the other members of the court. The case centered on an early morning police stop in Washington, D.C., where a Metropolitan Police officer responded to a call about what was described as a suspicious vehicle. At around 2 a.m., the officer approached the car, and immediately
