The state of Florida has passed a new law that will require all non-U.S. citizens applying for or renewing their driver's licenses to have a special designation indicating their citizenship status starting on January 1, 2027.
Why it matters
The new law is part of a broader push by Florida to tighten immigration policies and crack down on undocumented residents. Critics argue the measure unfairly singles out non-citizens and could lead to increased discrimination, while supporters say it's a necessary step to verify legal status.
The details
Under the new law, any Florida driver's license or ID card issued to a non-U.S. citizen will display a prominent letter or symbol

Zo’s cheap groceries will cost taxpayers a pretty penny.
Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s first-unveiled city-owned grocery store will cost a staggering $30 million to build from the ground up at East Harlem’s longstanding La Marqueta, officials confirmed – as local grocers worried it’d gobble up their business.
The new grocery at the longstanding city-owned La Marqueta marketplace will run with a yet-to-be-picked operator reaping the benefits of a rent- and tax-free deal, City Hall officials told The Post on Monday. Mamdani envisions that the low-cost deal — which he anounced during a Sunday celebration of his first 100 days in office -–

In another bit of supposed do-gooding that’s guaranteed to boost costs for regular New Yorkers, City Council progressives are looking to shut down the “last-mile delivery” industry to appease Big Labor.
This would goose customer bills roughly $664 a year — another blow to NYC affordability.
City Councilwoman Tiffany Cabán (D-Queens) wants to slam the small, independent services that contract with Amazon, FedEx, DHL, FreshDirect and other businesses to finalize deliveries from distribution centers, forcing them to directly hire their own drivers simply to make it easier for the Teamsters to unionize these workers.
Many would just respond by moving their centers outside the five boroughs,

Secretary of State Marco Rubio has yanked the green cards of three more Iranian nationals tied to Tehran who were living it up in the US – a week after the arrest of the niece and grandniece of the late Iranian mastermind, Gen. Qasem Soleimani.
ICE agents arrested Seyed Eissa Hashemi, Maryam Tahmasebi and their son for removal this week, citing their connections to a notorious figure from the Iran hostage crisis, the State Department announced Saturday.
Eissa Hashemi, 43, is the son of Masoumeh Ebtekar, known as “Screaming Mary” for her role as the mouthpiece for militants who stormed the US Embassy in Tehran in 1979.

Many of our major cities are, in one way or another, out of control. Chicago may be one of the worst; the return of moderate spring weather has already produced an increase in feral teen mobs taking over the city's streets, looting, stealing, and destroying property. Sometimes there are several of these street takeovers going on at once.
Hundreds of young people filled the streets and sidewalks in Chicago last week in what Mayor Brandon Johnson is calling "teen trends" that he warned can turn deadly.
Video, obtained by Fox News from ChitownCrimeChasers, showed the teens filling streets and sidewalks on March 30,

Could Marco Rubio be the one to take down the woke and seemingly untouchable Rep. Ilhan Omar?
He seems to think that $40 million fortune of hers came from something different than wine sales from her winery.
Which is shockingly direct. Usually, they don't state things so directly.
But if it's true that Omar ran a pay-to-play refugee operation, it would surely be illegal. And who would be in a position to know this better than Rubio who runs the Department of State and all its adjacents?
With a confident tweet like that, it seems likely that he knows something. What's more, he's been after her for at least six weeks;

The Los Angeles Dodgers are playing hardball with their most loyal fans, and this time, the boys in blue are looking more like corporate bullies.
Errol Segal, the 81-year-old diehard fan who has held season tickets for a staggering 50 years, found himself in the ultimate pickle when the team essentially told him his money was good, but his flip phone wasn’t.
Despite half a century of loyalty — long before the era of QR codes — the Dodgers flat-out refused to provide Segal with paper tickets for the 2026 season, effectively shutting him out of games.
