War Secretary Pete Hegseth said Thursday that the unfolding U.S. operation against Iran remains “laser-focused” and decisive in achieving its objectives, pushing back on comparisons to past prolonged conflicts while outlining a campaign he said is systematically degrading Tehran’s military capabilities. Speaking at a Pentagon briefing on day 20 of Operation Epic Fury, Hegseth opened by directly challenging portrayals that the operation risks becoming a drawn-out war akin to Iraq or Afghanistan, arguing the mission is tightly defined and purpose-driven. “The media here — not all of it, but much of it — wants you to think, just 19 days

Twenty days in. Let's see...I seem to recall the administration saying that this affair would last only four or five weeks, so at the outside, that's 35 days. So, in 15 days, if they haven't wrapped it up, and perhaps even say that it's going to be another four or five weeks, a lot of people are going to be in a lot of hot water. We'll see what happens.

Well, _someone_ has to tell the truth about this military operation. Most of the press - and countless world "leaders" - lie, lie, and then lie even more about this conflict. I say: "Happy Hunting!"

If you're not able to complain due to success, you can always p*ss and moan that it's not being wrapped up quickly enough, and it's costing too much to fill up your Subaru. Only our spoiled, lazy, hyper-partisan and dishonest media, making a mess in the punch bowl.

It has been 20 days. That is fast in war terms. Warfare is not an episode of CSI on television where everything is neatly wrapped up in a few days. 47 years of entrenched Islamic dictatorship and state sponsored terrorism is being erased. It is going to take a little more time than 20 days. What has been done in 20 days has been pretty amazing.

The word, "enemedia", is perhaps the most accurate portmanteau (a word combining two words) ever developed.

#2, That is because the media and countless world leaders have been doing exactly that - lying. Unfortunately, a lot of Americans bought into the Walter Cronkite syndrome. TV became a big thing and, most certainly, people in the media would always, always be telling the truth, right? Wrong. TV became a faster way to convince someone of the "truth" and now we have computers/phones doing it even faster. . .

And when Iran is vanquished we'll hear different garbage from the usual suspects. Undoing entrenched tyranny takes a little time, but I'm positive President Trump and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth are the guys to do it. There are still WAY too many Americans who listen to the absolute swill vomiting forth from the Enemedia. I know they're closely akin, but I can't tell who has done more damage to this country, the Enemedia? Or the so-called Democrats? Tight race.

Purely dim political hypocrisy and we know how the media majority leans. Trump and Hegseth said from the beginning that this was a 4 to 6 week operation. I have heard forever - would you have killed Hitler in his crib? The Shia -Ayatollah, mullahs, imams... - are all mini-Hitlers. I am so sorry the Iranian people must suffer through this but they are also responsible for it.

Alternate headline: Iran Lied. Again. That may not qualify as breaking news, since the Iranian regime has lied about practically all of its threats to the region and beyond. The theocratic-military junta has lied for 47 years about its sponsorship of terrorism, and they lied over and over again about their pursuit of nuclear weapons. Those lies got exposed over and over again, and yet leaders in Europe and the US kept insisting that the regime could become a trustworthy partner in non-proliferation talks. Iran just exposed another lie, one that should rattle Europe. The IRGC launched a missile attack

The most important contemporary phenomenon for our politics and, perhaps, for the future of our country is the ongoing sorting of our citizens into red and blue states. The dynamic is pretty simple: people are leaving blue states for red states, with the single exception of those whose first priority is lavish welfare benefits, who therefore seek out blue states. This might seem like a terrible deal for the blue states, and of course it is, in the long term. But meanwhile, things are not all bad for Democratic politicians. They are getting rid of a lot of pesky businessmen and others who tend to vote against them,

For the past three weeks, the Protection Racket Media has had a field day speculating that the war with Iran would split the MAGA base and infuriate those who demand America First policies. Poll after poll has contradicted that speculation. It turns out that the better question might be whether the war is splitting Donald Trump's opposition. Politico published a new poll this morning, taken this week, even while Iran forced a strangulation of shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. The poll shows sharp support for the war among Republicans, and even more robust support among self-identified MAGA voters, as previous surveys from NBC News and CNN

The lawsuit, and others like it, will kick off a years-long court saga that could wind up at the Supreme Court and determine the fate of Trump’s plan to undo decades of climate policy. The mail may soon stop — and not because it’s lost in transit. The cash-strapped United States Postal Service is barreling toward a financial cliff, with Postmaster General David Steiner warning lawmakers the agency could run dry by October — and potentially halt mail delivery altogether by 2027 if Congress doesn’t step in. “At our current rate, we’ll be out of cash in less than 12 months,” Steiner told the House Oversight Subcommittee on Government Operations on March 17. “So in about a year from now, the Postal Service would be unable to deliver the mail.” Translation: no stamps, no service. The grim forecast comes as the USPS continues its long-running losing streak.
