‘Experts’ Know Less than They Think

Occasionally I hear credentialed professionals with prestigious titles whine about the so-called “war on expertise.” It really bothers people who see themselves as “experts” that a growing share of society ignores them. A psychologist might intuit something revealing from the lack of self-confidence plaguing our “expert” class. If all the fancy degrees, voluminous curricula vitae, and lofty career positions have failed to instill a resilient modicum of self-esteem, then perhaps all those things are not the true measures of a person’s worth. “Experts” do not like to be challenged. Great article. The expert class are mostly scam artists and fools. Their credentials speak for them, as the author notes, and they advance stuff that rarely works. But, you're not supposed to notice their crap doesn't work well or is abject failure; you're only supposed to focus on their superiority and convince yourself and others they make sense; let's implement. If you challenge them before, during, and after their failures manifest, you're the problem. This happens in the workforce all the time, especially when you work with people who have multiple degrees yet know nothing about what they're hired and well paid to do. They keep moving from one shiny thing to another, and no one challenges them to put up. No one tells them to shut up either. If you ask them a simple common sense question, they go silent, along with the those who hired them. I call it the tyranny of the know nothings. The sad fact is, for now, they are winning, and the "reasoned debate" just doesn't happen. What does it mean anymore to say you graduated with multiple degrees from the Harvards, Yales, Dartmouths, etc.? Those institutions should be ashamed of their products, but they're not. FTA "The “price” of offshoring one’s thinking to “experts” is a life filled with few cogent thoughts. That’s too high of a cost for any human seeking wisdom." "That’s the danger with appeals to authority. When you hand your brain to third-parties, don’t be surprised to discover that “experts” value your life less than you do." "European “authorities” have spent decades using the “global warming” hobgoblin to scare the public into accepting expensive and unreliable sources of energy whose use will do nothing to “save the planet.” Those “authorities” have managed, however, to cripple most European industries and make Europe’s cost of living prohibitively expensive."

Presidential hopeful Gavin Newsom has been taking time away from destroying my state that he governs to hit the 2028 campaign trail, and he made a bit of short-lived news with his stop in Atlanta to have a discussion with Mayor Andre Dickens and a crowd largely comprised of black attendees to promote his new memoir, Young Man in a Hurry. “I’m not trying to impress you,” he said, “I’m just trying to impress upon you … I’m like you, I’m no better than you. You know, I’m a 960 SAT guy,” and he continues by saying that he never reads his speeches because he “can’t read.”

In an era of digital banking, Ukraine has been discovered to be transporting tens of millions in cash and gold by discreet armored vehicles throughout Europe. Naturally, the suspicion is money laundering, which is highly likely considering the nation; more likely yet considering how much of the American taxpayers’ dollars have gone “missing,” coincidentally finding its way into the bank accounts of Ukraine’s political class, or back into the political coffers of Washington D.C., funding both Democrats and Republicans.

Last night, San Francisco’s mayor, Daniel Lurie, was attacked by two men while being driven through the Tenderloin district. According to a report from an ABC News outlet, the confrontation arose after a group of people blocked the SUV that Lurie was being driven in; at one point Lurie himself exited the vehicle to engage the individuals on the street, but quickly scuttled back behind the safety of his security detail when the confrontation turned physical. Classic. Clearly the men were bums, based on the handcuffed man’s appearance:

The puzzle pieces are falling into place faster than the Deep State ever imagined. The case against the Clintons as a crime family, which I laid out in 2019 when I discussed their Deep State RICO conspiracy, has just been validated by fresh evidence. John Solomon nails it with the “Clinton Corruption Files.” Irrefutable documents reveal that Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel sent to Congress in late 2025 confirm a “massive bribery operation” through the Clinton Foundation—specifically, foreign interest donations in exchange for State Department favors during Hillary’s tenure as Secretary. Three FBI offices (New York, Washington, Little Rock) independently flagged pay-to-play,

Decades from now, when historians finish poring through the millions of Epstein documents and 300+ gigabytes of data, the uproar of today, I suspect, will be lumped into the same category as the Satanic panic of the 1980s and the daycare sex-abuse hysteria of the 1990s: More hype than substance; more conspiratorial fearmongering than fact-based reporting. Because, after both Republican and Democratic administrations reviewed them, there’s just not any there there. Instead of an avalanche of evidence about foreign espionage, blackmail schemes, and Jeffrey Epstein being the James Bond of pedophilia, a far gloomier image emerges:

After weeks of waiting, the Supreme Court ruled against the Trump administration in a decision addressing whether President Trump had authority to impose sweeping tariffs without congressional approval. At the heart of the issue was whether President Trump had such authority under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA), a law that allows presidents to take economic actions during a national emergency and to impose broad tariffs without Congress passing tariff laws. In a 6-3 decision, the Supreme Court ruled that President Trump exceeded his authority

In the second term of Donald Trump’s presidency, few homegrown political controversies have been as tedious or corrosive as the prolonged Jeffrey Epstein scandal. Among right-wing media figures, precious few bear more responsibility for fanning the Epstein flames than Steve Bannon. This was not because Trump’s administration was part of some cover-up. I purely believe it was because Bannon chose provocation over truth, spectacle over resolution, and self-preservation over honesty. By early 2026, the factual record was no longer ambiguous.

What does one do with useful grifters who’ve lost their utility? The Democrats Frankenize them. It’s like ostracizing without the pomp and ceremony. If you’re unfamiliar with the process, you can watch it play out on the Clintons over the next few months. Frankenizing became a thing during the good ol’ days of “me too.” It was an era of national insanity, in which every Hollywood starlet wannabe with two X chromosomes insisted she was a victim of toxic masculinity after taking her clothes off to land a part. The Dems demanded that we believe every woman’s tale of harassment, regardless of how improbable.

After Charlie Kirk’s assassination, the multiple assassination attempts on President Trump, and the violent targeting of federal agents in Minnesota, non-leftists in America must accept that leftists intend to do them harm. There are no signs that Democrats want to de-escalate political tensions in the United States. On the contrary, at least since community organizer Barack Obama became president, escalation -- including verbal harassment, stalking, physical intimidation, and outright violence -- has been a key component of Democrats’ political strategy. Scaring political opponents into silence or subjugation is now standard operating procedure for the Democrat Party.

Iranian forces have the technology, the ability and the motivation to launch withering drone attacks on targets in California, according to Brett Velicovich, a former US Army intelligence and special operations soldier who spent years using drones to hunt and kill the leaders of ISIS and other terrorist groups. Velicovich said America’s enemy is almost certainly trying to launch an attack on Californian shores with the use of drones. The FBI’s warning to local law enforcement,

The first six days of war in Iran cost U.S. taxpayers at least $11.3 billion in munitions alone, according to Pentagon estimates reviewed by lawmakers, and experts say the final cost will only increase. That total does not include the cost of operating and maintaining the military force engaged in the war or battle damage sustained from Iran’s attacks. The military used about $5.6 billion in munitions in the first two days of the conflict, according to a person with knowledge of the estimate. The munitions cost was first reported by The Washington Post. The money spent on munitions, and the added expense of any damage done to U.S. military infrastructure

For years, the British £5 note has carried the face of Winston Churchill. The wartime prime minister who rallied Britain during its darkest hour has stared out from wallets and cash registers across the country, a constant reminder of the man who helped lead Britain through World War II. Now the Bank of England is considering scrapping that tradition. And what might replace one of Britain’s most consequential leaders says quite a lot about where parts of the country’s cultural establishment think Britain should be headed. Animals. Plants. Landscapes. Not the people who shaped the nation’s history. Wildlife. The idea surfaced after the Bank of England asked the public what themes they

Voter ID has the approval of 84% of the American public — that’s Democrats and Republicans! But John Thune refuses to pass the legislation with his Republican majority, knowing that the GOP will then lose the midterms. He really owes it to Republican voters to explain why he hates them so much. That’s the least he could do. What a wicked man. Thune was out bloviating about how he can’t pass the SAVE America Act again on Wednesday. This guy is the absolute worst.

I believe wholeheartedly in Americans, the greatness of this country and the strength of our democratic republic – especially when it comes to elections. But I might be alone in this. According to a March NPR/PBS News/Marist Poll, Americans' confidence in fair elections has actually dropped: 34% of Americans have little or no confidence in their elections, up from 24% since 2024. This is why it's so disappointing to see Congress fail over and over to pass the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act, also known as the SAVE Act or the SAVE America Act.
