The U.S. military killed an Iranian leader who led an attempted assassination plot against President Donald Trump, War Secretary Pete Hegseth revealed on Wednesday. “We’ve known for a long time that Iran had intentions on trying to kill President Trump and/or other U.S. officials,” Hegseth told reporters in the Pentagon’s briefing room in an update on Operation Epic Fury. “And while that was not the focus of the effort by any stretch of the imagination, in fact, never raised by the president or anybody else, I ensured, and others ensured, that those who were responsible for that were eventually part of the target list.”

Here's the Skinny on the Undecided NC
GOP State Senate Primary Battle Everyone

Though most of the focus on Tuesday related to the 2026 midterm elections was on the Senate primary races in North Carolina and Texas, there were some shakeups in NC legislative primaries that saw eight incumbents - three Democrats and five Republicans - lose their reelection bids well before the general election plays out in the fall. But there is one undecided GOP primary - with a mere two votes separating the contenders - that in many ways has stunned political observers in North Carolina, one which the national media has even zeroed in on for its possible future political implications:
Texas Democrat James Talarico’s ‘moderate’

Sixteen months after Kamala Harris cackled her way into a loss to President Trump, the Democratic Party seems to have realized its candidates need an image makeover to get voters to forget what their team actually believes. The name of the game is acting normal and talking like a moderate. For Democrats, that’s a stretch. James Talarico of Texas is their bright new “moderate” hope. He won a US Senate primary election this week largely by touting his Christianity, being respectful to his opponents, and generally presenting himself as the boy-next-door counterweight to his excitable opponent, Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas). Look at this sane man, declared the media. Time magazine touted his “authenticity” and gushed,

Chairman Barry Loudermilk, R-Ga., of the House Select Subcommittee on January 6, has subpoenaed T-Mobile for the communications records of Brian Cole Jr., who is alleged to have planted the pipe bombs near the Republican National Committee and Democratic National Committee on January 5, 2021. Loudermilk sent a letter Thursday to Mr. Srini Gopalan, the CEO of T-Mobile, along with an enclosed subpoena. The letter said “We believe T-Mobile possesses information critical to our oversight and legislative reforms.” Loudermilk blasted then-FBI Director Chris Wray’s failures in the investigation.

President Trump said that he wants to remove Iran's leadership, and has a list of people who "would do a good job" as a leader. "We want to go in and clean out everything," Trump told NBC News on Thursday. "We don't want someone who would rebuild over a 10-year period. We want them to have a good leader. We have some people who I think would do a good job,” he added, declining to name anyone. Trump said that he is taking steps to ensure that the people on his list make it through the war alive. "We are watching them, yeah," he said.

Does being an European "ally" of America even mean anything anymore? That's a valid question after several NATO nations not only initially denied the use of their military bases during Operation Epic Fury, the ongoing attack on Iran, but also offered tacit support for the Islamic regime. Perhaps the most public betrayal came from Spain, whose left-wing prime minister claimed the United States was violating "international law."Given Spain's history over the last century or so, it wasn't exactly surprising that they'd take the side of Islamic fascists over the country that pays for their defense.

During my 20 years in the military and three terms in Congress, I have fought for that cause with absolute dedication to the country that I love,” he said. Podcast host Katie Miller asked Hannity a straightforward question. Katie Miller: “How’s your relationship with Tucker Carlson now?” Hannity’s answer was strikingly direct. Sean Hannity: “I don’t ever talk to him, ever. I wish him well. I’ve read a lot of what he says. I just completely disagree with it. And it’s not the person that I knew when he was at Fox.”

The Muslim Brotherhood is no less dangerous than the Iranian regime. While banned as a terrorist organization in some Arab countries, it maintains a presence in the Middle East and operates through networks and affiliates in Western countries through various organizations, think tanks and charities that promote its Islamist ideology. The Muslim Brotherhood cannot be eliminated through military action. Fighting this movement involves a multifaceted, long-term approach combining legal designations, financial restrictions, and ideological counter-messaging. Key strategies include designating affiliates as terrorist organizations, dismantling financial networks, and limiting their influence in education and religious institutions. The Muslim Brotherhood and Iran's regime share a deadly hatred of the West,

The approval is the first commercial reactor the NRC has approved for construction in nearly a decade. The Terrapower reactor uses a non-light water reactor design, and the approval is the first of that kind in 40 years.

A state judge just nixed a Columbia board’s discipline of the “pro-Palestine” students who occupied and trashed Hamilton Hall two years ago, completing the university’s elaborate dance with Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg to ensure the goons would suffer no consequences for their noxious actions. Bragg’s office dropped charges against the students back in June 2024, citing its “understanding that the students would be subject to Columbia’s internal disciplinary proceedings.” The school then took a year to actually deliver on that “understanding,” albeit with little more than wrist-slaps — whereupon the snowflakes sued to reverse this “oppression.”

Last night, San Francisco’s mayor, Daniel Lurie, was attacked by two men while being driven through the Tenderloin district. Classic. Clearly the men were bums, based on the handcuffed man’s appearance:
