The Trump administration has been waging war on drug cartels, and the president has pressured countries he deems responsible for illegal substances crossing the border to co-operate. The US has joined forces in Ecuador in operations against "narcoterrorists" responsible for alleged illegal drug trafficking. The military's southern command, which operates in Central and South America, as well as the Caribbean, made the announcement with little fanfare on social media. Commander Francis Donovan said: "We commend the men and women of the Ecuadorian armed forces for their unwavering commitment to this fight, demonstrating courage and resolve through continued actions against narcoterrorists in their country." Ecuador's defence ministry refused to share details of the operations.

Former New York Yankees first baseman Mark Teixeira is projected to win his Republican House primary race in Texas. Teixeira, who helped the Bronx Bombers to a victory in the 2009 World Series, was leading his closest opponent in the Texas 21st Congressional District primary by a 61.4%-10.1% margin when the Associated Press called the race. “This is a huge victory, and I’m truly honored to have such strong support from the people of TX-21. Thank you!” Teixeira wrote on X. “I’m so grateful to everyone who voted, put in the work, donated, and especially prayed for us along the way,” the former baseball star continued.

The Trump Administration has listed dozens of examples of Iranian terrorism aimed at American citizens and soldiers over the past nearly five decades, but a significant omission was the Iranian regime's years of collusion with the Taliban to kill U.S. troops in Afghanistan. The White House on Monday released a lengthy fact sheet titled “The Iranian Regime’s Decades of Terrorism Against American Citizens.” The Trump administration document laid out Iran’s lengthy history of targeting and attacking U.S. troops, diplomats, and citizens — including Iran’s role in the deaths of more than 600 U.S. service members during the war in Iraq —

I never thought I would say this, but this week has convinced me that the Trump Administration is possibly the first administration in decades to execute a politico-military strategy and shape events rather than just bounce, pinball-like, from one flashing light to another. Bear with me as I lay out what I think is going on, and feel free to excoriate me in the comments if you disagree. Let’s take as a starting point that the current operation against Iran is probably driven as much by China as it is by regional security concerns. Iran has a “25-Year Cooperation Program” with China,

On Monday, I wrote about Spanish Socialist Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez’s decision to block the U.S. from using jointly operated military bases on its territory for strikes on Iran. President Donald Trump wasted no time responding forcefully, saying Tuesday that the U.S. is "going to cut off all trade with Spain." Trump made the comments from the White House during a meeting with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. He noted that some European nations have been helpful to the U.S. regarding Iran, saying Germany has been “great.” He also praised NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, calling him “fantastic.” Then he spoke directly about Spain:

French President Emmanuel Macron said that the joint American-Israeli military strikes against Iran are “outside of international law.” Addressing the French public in a national broadcast, President Macron said that while Iran “bears primary responsibility for this situation,” his government also disapproves of the strikes taken by the United States and Israel against the regime in Tehran. The United States of America and Israel have decided to launch military operations, conducted outside of international law, which we cannot approve,” Macron said, according to Le Figaro.

The outpouring of joy on the streets of LA is impossible to ignore. Thousands of Iranian-Americans lined Wilshire Boulevard on Saturday and Sunday to celebrate the joint U.S.-Israeli strikes that, they hope, will bring down the Iranian regime. On Westwood Boulevard, in the heart of “Tehrangeles,” there were raucous cheers inside Persian restaurants. Flags hung everywhere — the sterile tulip of the Islamic Republic replaced by the lion-and-sun of the previous era. The Iranian people, at home and abroad, believe that freedom is at hand, and that President Donald Trump is bringing the redemption for which they have waited for decades.

As the President warned, an effort of this scope will include casualties,” the secretary told reporters. “War is hell and always will be.

Texas state Rep. James Talarico secured a victory over Rep. John Cornyn. Recent polling ahead of the March 3 primary showed Crockett leading. A University of Texas at Tyler poll conducted Feb. 13–22 surveyed 1,117 registered voters and 959 likely voters and found Crockett with 55 percent support compared to Talarico’s 37 percent, outside the poll’s 3.2-point margin of error

The attack left at least 101 people missing, one dead and 78 injured, sources in Sri Lanka’s navy and defense ministry told Reuters. The IRIS Dena frigate was armed with heavy guns, surface-to-air missiles, anti-ship missiles and torpedoes and could carry a helicopter. The 180-crew frigate had issued a distress call at dawn. “An American submarine sunk an Iranian warship that thought it was safe in international waters. Instead, it was sunk by a torpedo,”

Yet somehow, she thought she was ready for the United States Senate. The voters are weighing in, and their answer so far is: yeah, maybe not so much. Although the official vote count has not been made final, Crockett trails at this hour to her competitor, TX state representative James Talarico. There’s already some legal back and forth, and courts are involved, so the final outcome may not be confirmed for days. Already, though, Crockett is blaming her poor performance on… election fraud. Jasmine Crockett didn’t simply lose her Senate primary. She staged a slow-motion meltdown on the way out the door, complete with preemptive claims of cheating and “disenfranchisement,” long before the votes were even done being counted. Early Tuesday evening, while ballots were still being tallied across 254 Texas counties, Crockett started laying the groundwork for an excuse. She told supporters there had been “a lot of confusion” in Dallas County. She insisted that “people have been disenfranchised,” blaming Republicans for supposedly targeting Dallas and hinting darkly at votes that might not count. Then she left her own watch party early and told the crowd not to expect results that night,

Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem testified that the Biden administration funneled cash to sponsors who trafficked and abused unaccompanied migrant children. Federal dollars poured through the Department of Health and Human Services right into the pockets of adults escaping screening, meaning many of those people ended up as outright predators. The Office of Refugee Resettlement dumped kids into homes without solid background checks, skipped consistent DNA testing, and ignored follow-ups that could've kept them safe. Nearly 450,000 kids cycled through the system, many of whom disappeared after sloppy placements. If Noem slams down documented proof linking this mess straight to federal blunders,

Brad noted in his write-up that the suggestion/insinuation from these same Iranian regime officials that it was a deliberate "strike" on the school by the U.S. and Israel was not initially met with the appropriate amount of media skepticism from U.S.-based outlets that such claims warranted.

Texas DeceptiCON Dan Crenshaw, aka “one-eyed McCain”, a man of notoriously arrogant and intemperate disposition, has lost the Texas CD02 primary race to Steve Toth. Mr Toth won 56% of the primary vote, so there will not be a runoff. At the conclusion of this year, the perpetually horrible Dan Crenshaw will no longer be a congressman. Apparently, Crenshaw was blindsided and didn’t see it coming.
