The threat of Iran or its terrorist proxies retaliating inside the United States is driving new pressure on Democrats to reopen the Department of Homeland Security after President Donald Trump’s overnight strikes. House Homeland Security Chairman Andrew Garbarino (R-NY) joined other Republicans on Saturday in urging Democrats to end a two-week shutdown at DHS, an agency tasked with safeguarding America against terrorist attacks. He cited the “heightened threat landscape” after the U.S. launched strikes on Iran and past attempts by Iran to target dissidents and President Donald Trump on American soil.

Protecting Americans isn't on their agenda. They deliberately put Americans at risk when they opened our borders, knowing terrorists would come in. We can't expect the same people who denied their first job is to protect American citizens, to get serious about identifying and deporting terrorists. They can't bring themselves to prioritize safety for Americans because middle class normies don't count with them. And they want us to know it.

Dems better get ready to own any terror attack that occurs in the US after this, because of 1) the Biden-vasion that allowed whole neighborhoods of terror cells to move in among us, and 2) because they clearly have demonstrated they would rather strip the DHS and cops of what they need to keep us safe instead of behaving like rational people with foresight and concern for the country. You would think they would learn after the trap they walked into at Trump's tour-de-force SOTU. Mental cases, all, and unworthy to serve the American people in any role... ESPECIALLY dogcatcher.

The Iranians love the democrats. I remember when Obama helped Iran by giving them pallets of cash. That amount was $1.7B. Then another cash payment to release 4 american prisoners. This is how democrats deal with terrorists. Trump did the right thing. Obama created more problems with his dealing with Iran.

This does put pressure on the Democrats to end the shutdown and approve the DHS budget. But, I’m not holding my breath waiting for it to happen. Their irrational TDS will prevent them from doing anything remotely rational.

Central Command on Saturday released video of American fighter jets taking off from an aircraft carrier as ‘Operation Epic Fury’ fires missiles on Iranian targets. The US and Israel conducted military strikes on Iran on Saturday morning. Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in the military strikes. The strikes also killed Iran’s defense minister and the commander of its Revolutionary Guard, the AP reported. Fox News reported that the Supreme Leader’s compound was leveled and 40 top Iranian leaders were killed. “US official confirms to Fox that US believes Khamenei and 5-10 top Iranian leaders killed in initial Israeli strike on compound; agree with Israel’s intelligence assessment,”

President Trump's decision to launch a war against Iran without congressional signoff has splintered lawmakers, largely along party lines, and supercharged the debate over war powers authority. While most Republicans largely rallied around Trump’s decision to carry out the massive joint attack with Israel, Democrats quickly denounced the attack as an illegal “war of choice” and demanded Congress come back to Washington to take a vote on whether to authorize another Middle East invasion. Democratic leaders have vowed to forge ahead with their plans to force a vote on a war powers resolution next week in the House that would block Trump from carrying out additional strikes.

Americans woke up Saturday to something big. The United States and Israel launched a massive joint offensive against Iran’s regime, known as Operation Epic Fury. According to reports, targets included Iran’s supreme leader and president. Major combat operations are now underway, and the implications are global. Predictably, Democrats in Washington and even some Republicans are questioning the strikes. But let’s be honest — this moment was long overdue. Iran’s reign of terror didn’t start yesterday. In fact, this confrontation is the direct result of the Obama administration’s disastrous decision a decade ago to appease, enrich, and embolden Tehran. U.S. Sen. John Cornyn has been one of the most consistent Republican defenders of the EB-5 investor visa program over the past several years — advocating for its reauthorization, intervening in its implementation, and signaling support for preserving it even amid President Donald Trump’s proposed “Gold Card” alternative. During much of that same period, Cornyn’s daughter, Haley Cornyn, worked at Greenberg Traurig, a global law and lobbying firm that has structured billions of dollars in EB-5 investment deals and lobbied on matters related to the program. The overlap between Cornyn’s legislative advocacy and the financial interests of his daughter’s employer raises questions about political optics and potential conflicts of interest

Paramount is closer than ever to acquiring CNN parent company Warner Bros. after Netflix declined to raise its bid for the media conglomerate. That's bad news for the failing network's stable of overpaid hacks, many of whom will be first in line for layoffs (or drastic salary reductions) once the acquisition goes through. Not surprisingly, the Trump administration has already signaled its support for the move. Larry Ellison, whose Paramount Skydance empire recently took control of CBS News, met with White House officials late last year to discuss potential changes at CNN, including the possibility of "axing" some of Donald Trump's least favorite on-air personalities. The president is particularly disinclined toward

Words liked “panicked,” apoplectic” and “freaking out” are being tossed around to summarize the reaction of CNN staffers as they realize the media giant Paramount Skydance will be buying Warner Bros. Discovery, CNN’s parent company. The reason? The new owners want “a more politically centrist approach to news,” according to the New York Post. Paramount Skydance took over CBS last year, prompting screams of outrage as the network was dragged, kicking and screaming, towards the political center. CNN President Mark Thompson sent out a memo Thursday urging staffers to see what the future holds before hitting the panic button.
