That’s a good idea, and Trump should tout a series of amazing economic and financial accomplishments. Stock market at near all-time highs, inflation cut in half, real incomes up, middle class savings from the big beautiful tax bill, gas prices down, and energy production up. Private employment is up, while government employment is down. Retirement savings for American families (including 401k plans) are up almost $22,000 on average, more than reversing the losses from the Biden years when runaway inflation

Who knew that a State of the Union address would feature more medal ceremonies than the Winter Olympics?
OK, it just seemed that way. But the made-for-TV award-aganza – incredibly including, twice, America’s top military honor – was just one feature of perhaps the most spectacular event of its kind ever.
“Spectacular” in the word’s original sense, “of the nature of a spectacle or show.” As in:
The bombastic beginning: “Our nation is back. Bigger, better, richer, and stronger than ever before.”

They’re not as obnoxious as the “In This House We Believe” yard signs, nor as common, but if in the right neighborhood, it’s not hard to find “Climate Action Now” signs. The virtue signalers want the universe to know they are concerned that not enough is being done to keep Earth from baking. So who wants to tell them?
We do.

As NASA eases its Artemis II rocket back to the hangar for repairs this week – the second launchpad delay this month – it raises the question of whether this government agency should be in the manned spaceflight business at all anymore.
To say that the Artemis program – which has so far cost taxpayers more than $93 billion – has been plagued with problems is an understatement. It has been a case study in bureaucratic bumbling, one made more obvious when compared with the rapid advances achieved by private space companies such as SpaceX.

The mission has not been accomplished, but after a year, the federal workforce has fallen from more than 3 million to about 2.7 million, roughly where it was six decades ago, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Still, the fact that – while trying to bash a sitting president while in Munich – Newsom managed (accidentally, no doubt) to call a Big Lie on himself is a new milestone in self-owning.

President Donald Trump has barely finished the first year of his second term in office, but already pollsters are looking to the midterm 2026 congressional battle and 2028 presidential election. That includes the I&I/TIPP Poll. Believe it or not, many voters are already deciding whom they will support.
The latest national online I&I/TIPP Poll asked registered voters of both major parties and independents two questions about their preferences.
The poll, which was taken by 1,126 registered voters from Jan. 27 to Jan. 29, has an overall margin of error of +/-3.1 percentage points.
The first question:
Another billionaire, this time Mark Zuckerberg, has fled the Golden State. There are still plenty left. But the trickle could quickly turn into a flood if voters and lawmakers continue to punish the rich. At what point, one wonders, will it be too late for the state to abandon the path to destruction that it chose to take many years ago?
Zuckerberg follows Peter Thiel, Sergey Brin and Larry Page as recent ex-pats. He and his wife are reportedly relocating in income-tax-free Florida. The exodus is clearly in response to the probability that voters will approve a special tax on billionaires this fall.

President Donald Trump’s 2026 State of the Union speech gave every American a front-row seat to see exactly who Democrats are — and more importantly, what they refuse to stand for.
According to reports, more than 70 Democrats chose not to attend the speech, but most did, and several times over the course of the evening, they made a choice. They sat. They scowled. They heckled. While Republicans rose time and again in applause, the left side of the chamber looked like a group of children being punished.
And Trump noticed.
He called them out — repeatedly — for refusing to show even the most basic bipartisan enthusiasm for moments
President Trump's State of the Union speech Tuesday night got extra heated when he relentlessly called out Democrats for supporting sanctuary city policies and refusing to stand for the American people over criminal illegal aliens.
Literally, refusing to stand.
The President challenged Democrats to affirm their support for the American people over illegal immigrants. And they just couldn't do it.
"I'm inviting every legislator to join with my administration in reaffirming a fundamental principle," he said, glaring at the Democrat side of the room. "If you agree with this statement, then stand up and show your support."
The principle?
Well, we knew the Democrat antics ahead of and during Tuesday night's State of the Union address from President Donald Trump would not disappoint, and it surely hasn't so far, with Democrat Rep. Al Green (TX-09) keeping up his tradition of getting kicked out of Trump presidential addresses by being deported out of this one, too.
Green was seen during the early portion of Trump's speech holding up a "Black people aren't apes" sign. He was ejected soon after:

Video and witness accounts show drivers swarming the intersection of East West Highway and Connecticut Avenue shortly after midnight Feb. 22 in Gaithersburg, Maryland, blocking traffic in all directions and performing high-speed “donuts” as onlookers stood in the roadway.
Montgomery County police said it started around 12:39 a.m., when a large caravan of vehicles tied to takeover activity was spotted heading toward the Silver Spring central business district.
Officers moved to monitor the group and closed several intersections to limit access and protect the public.
By now, the video has gone viral with Trump asking a simple question:
“If you agree with this statement, then stand up and show your support. The first duty of the American government is to protect American citizens, not illegal immigrants.” With great timing and a gift for performance and storytelling, Trump pauses and lets the applause grow. He luxuriated in the moment as the Democrats sat there, stone-faced, thinking it would play well at MS-Now. It probably will. Trump wanted all of America to see it and remember it. He set a trap. They walked right into it.
“You should be ashamed,” he said.
