Marco Rubio, Rand Paul Joust Over Trump’s
Maduro Operation

Original Article

Secretary of State Marco Rubio argued with Republican Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul Wednesday over whether the U.S.’ capture of Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro was an “act of war.” [snip]Rubio argued that Maduro’s capture does not “come anywhere close” to the constitutional definition of an act of war.[snip]Paul expressed disagreement with Rubio by stating that if any country captured the U.S. president in the same kind of operation carried out in Venezuela, he would declare war. Rubio said the U.S. is always going to act in its national interest and protection.

Comments:

Paul is equating a lawless, unconscionable thug with a lawful head of state. That kind of equivalency is destructive of the righteous standard of the rule of law.

Note to Rand Paul - the US is not shipping drugs into Venezuela. They, along with Mexico/China, are shipping drugs into the US. We have a right to protect our citizens, so stop being such a troublemaker!

Psssst...Ms Paul, VENEZUELA doesn't consider itself to be at WAR. Millions of her people took to the streets to celebrate, similar celebrations and marches followed all around the world., The remaining heads of the Govt there are working in conjunction/cooperation with the USA. Yer trying to act all Historical, but coming across as hysterical.

If we made war on Venezuela they would know it. Rand Paul is a nut case, just like his dad. Maduro has been running the drug war against the United States since 2013 and he has caused many American casualties.

Rand Paul has made some good points over the years. But he’s kind of like the guy in Office Space who keeps demanding to know who took his red stapler. Paul can't understand why he isn’t accomplishing anything and he can’t get anyone to care.

The philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche wisely pointed out that all truth is a matter of perspective. If you are Nicholas Maduro or Rand Paul the what US did to remove Maduro was an act of war. If you are President Trump and Marco Rubio it was a justified defense of America's self-interest. As Nietzshe also pointed out, "Truth is what survives." The US will survive.

You know what the common thread is here, but we have a deep dive into the leftist mayhem over Immigration and Customs Enforcement.[snip] Kevin Bass posted an excellent Twitter thread about these incidents and found that two-thirds of the confrontations come from nine counties. It’s also in areas where local officials have stated they’re refusing to cooperate with ICE. It’s another chapter in how bad Democrats are at public policy. Again, you knew this already, but here are the numbers:[snip] Just 9 counties accounted for TWO-THIRDS of violent confrontations with ICE in America.

Hunter Biden says it doesn’t matter that he has “ghosted” his 7-year-old daughter with ex-stripper Lunden Roberts because he never agreed to be a part of her life, according to a stone-hearted new legal filing. The 55-year-old former first son argued Tuesday in new court papers that the contentious Arkansas child support case for daughter Navy Joan Roberts shouldn’t be reopened after he and his baby mama settled in 2023. But Roberts, 34, earlier this month said Hunter should be jailed for failing to uphold his end of the bargain, claiming he’s refusing to talk to Navy and not giving her pieces of his artwork before it dramatically plunged in value

The Most Socialist System in America Is

America loves to debate socialism. We argue about universal healthcare, guaranteed income, student loan forgiveness, and government dependency. We pride ourselves on our rugged independence and belief in free markets. We warn that socialism destroys innovation, freedom, and personal responsibility. But here’s the uncomfortable truth most Americans never stop to consider: the most centrally planned, government-dependent, subsidy-driven system in the United States isn’t medicine, housing, or energy—it’s food. Our food system is not a free market. It is not capitalism in any recognizable form.

She sought to portray Alex Pretti, a 37-year-old armed ICU nurse, and Renee Good, a 37-year-old mother, as domestic terrorists. While Christianity Today focuses on Syria, newly vaulted into the Top 10, the larger story is more global. According to Open Doors, more than 388 million Christians now live under high levels of persecution or discrimination. That is roughly 1 in 7 believers worldwide. The trend is not driven by a single ideology or region but by a mix of fragile states, militant Islam, criminal networks and increasingly authoritarian governments.
