A 34-year-old man was killed and three others were injured after being gunned down in Chicago early Sunday morning. The four victims were getting into a car at around 2:35 a.m. when four men walked up to them and started shooting, the Chicago Police Department said, as reported by ABC 7 Chicago. The dead man was shot multiple times and died from his injuries at Northwestern Hospital, according to police. The gunmen got into a car and fled the scene following the shooting on North La Salle Drive in the River North neighborhood of Chicago close to Downtown.

Comments:

Why are gang or revenge shootings called mass shootings? They inflate the number of actual deranged shooters.
34 USC § 10281(o)(1) The term “mass casualty event” means an incident resulting in casualties to not fewer than 3 victims..,

OK, it's Chicago, and multiple people shot. To a 95% certainty this is black on black drug gang violence, without knowing ANYTHING beyond "Chicago" and "multiple people shot". As predictable as the sun rising in the east.

In inner city Chicago that’s the way the DEI favored residents wish their victims Merry Christmas! According to the Mayor and Governor that is an established city tradition that the Federal Government and Trump should not be sticking their noses into.

FTA: The four victims were getting into a Lambo Urus at around 2:35 a.m. when four men walked up to them and started shooting, the Chicago Police Department said, as reported by ABC 7 Chicago. A $320,000 car, 2:35 a.m., near downtown Chicago. That is a colossally stupid combination.

Shootings in Chit-Congo are so common that the media doesn't bother with the names anymore, they just give the number shot and the number killed. I am reminded of a saying attributed to Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin, who had millions of people killed, either through starvation or in the gulag system: "A Single Death is a Tragedy. A Million Deaths is a Statistic." ..... and in Chit-Congo, it long ago became just statistics. The sad, stupid, irritating part of this is that the state and city governments WANT it this way! If they wanted to END the shootings, they could! And the ballot counts indicate that the voters of Chit-Congo also WANT it this way, as they keep voting for the same crooked politicians every election. Every few years I make a summer trip from my home in south Mississippi to the big airshow in Oshkosh, eastern Wisconsin. I make it a point to stay a good distance from Chit-Congo both on they way up, and on the way back.

The Christmas murder rate in Chicago was relatively low but anybody who goes out on New Years Eve in any big blue city has a death wish.

Shocking unearthed video from a 2018 state fraud case shows Minnesota parents dropping their children off at a day care center and then leaving with the kids moments later — as authorities probe a rampant billion-dollar fraud scheme in Minneapolis. In the surveillance footage, dated 2015 and obtained by Fox 9, parents are seen signing their kids into the facility so providers could bill the state for full days of care for children who didn’t actually attend. On some days, no families would even show up at all, but the day cares would still claim reimbursements from the government, the outlet reported at the time.

Republican Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (LA-04) had a few choice words for the latest move by several blue state leaders who have blocked a huge promise President Donald Trump made to workers to cut taxes on tips and overtime. In a post on X on Monday, Johnson reacted to a New York Post piece about how Democrat-run states like California, New York, and Illinois have declined to give hardworking Americans a state-level tax break after the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) (aka the “Working Families Tax Cut Act") exempted federal taxes on overtime pay and tipped wages. The provision takes effect January 1.

I can remember the first time I ever saw the Marxists openly suggest we collapse the nuclear family. It was on the Black Lives Matter official website where, among their goals, they listed their aim to "disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families and 'villages' that collectively care for one another, especially our children, to the degree that mothers, parents, and children are comfortable." It wasn't hard to connect the dots as to why they wanted this. The nuclear family is the ultimate authority in a child's life, and if you're an advocate for the state being the highest authority in everyone's lives,

With a new legislative season about to kick off and a socialist mayor taking office, Gov. Kathy Hochul will find herself under enormous pressure from left-wing Democrats as she vies for reelection. Yet if she totally caves, it could backfire come November. For starters, incoming mayor Zohran Mamdani and his far-left minions will demand her help in turning his lavish, pricey campaign promises into reality. That could spell bad news for the city and state, but Hochul will also face a dilemma of her own: If she knuckles under too much to the Mamdani camp, she may alienate independents and moderates, who make up a large part of the electorate upstate.

Court documents allege that part of the stolen funds were used to purchase the missing yellow diamond ring, after the indictment claimed she cashed a cashier’s check worth approximately $109,000 to buy a ring on or about Sept. 1, 2021.

In the scenario that it is passed, NYC will have the largest COPA program in the country. The act forces landlords to offer their property to the city as well as nonprofits before the building can be sold on the public market.
