The California DMV is facing a lawsuit brought on behalf of nearly 20,000 immigrant truckers over the state’s plans to revoke their commercial drivers’ licenses (CDLs). The Asian Law Caucus and the Sikh Coalition, along with the law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, filed the lawsuit on Tuesday in an effort to stop the California DMV from canceling the CDLs, which the complaint says would “result in mass work stoppages” starting Jan 5, 2026. “This class-action lawsuit is brought on behalf of the Jakara Movement and five commercial drivers who have been deprived of their rights and livelihoods,” a joint statement from the Asian Law Caucus and Sikh Coalition said.

This is rich. They come here illegally. Work illegally. And sue when they are prevented from doing so! We'll call them when we need to haul cow dung! Yes this is ethnically insulting. But this outrage must be stopped.

To whom it may concern: Given that a substantial number of commercial licenses were granted fraudulently and that there is no means of determining which specific licenses are fraudulent, we have no choice but to invalidate all licenses issued to foreign nationals (and possibly others) during this free for all period. Your revoked license can be reinstated by affirming your legal standing to be in the country and by meeting all current licensing requirements. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

The first page of the Driver's manual says "Driving is a privilege, not a right". Everyone is told that, except illegals who think coming here and taking everything is their right. This lawsuit should be slapped down in seconds and lawyers sanctioned for frivolous lawsuits.

We need some sort of tort reform in this country. If they lose the lawsuit, then the lawyers should also be held financially responsible. These frivolous lawsuits need to stop and only when you hit lawyers in their billable hours, will they maybe think twice about suing. I was taught driving is a privilege not a right…

These people have stolen jobs and wages from American citizens and legal residents. They'll lose this round in court though there will never be a shortage of lawyers looking to get paid for immoral clients. But they won't lose the next battle if we don't win next year and in '28. Our nation's improving economic health won't survive another Democrat Party Congress.

Gee it sucks when the Gov"t (California) doesn't follow the law. If only California had followed the law in the first place. As for the supply chain impact, yeah that is unfortunate, but I'm pretty sure there is no "supply chain" exemption in the law. Although it is safe to assume some Federal District Court King will gladly change the law by Judicial fiat.

Instead, former first son Hunter Biden, who once used the Secret Service code name “Chieftain,” and his adult daughter Maisy occupy the prime location. It was not the best of Christmas seasons for Gen. George Patton in December of 1944. Yes, the general’s Third Army was marching through Europe toward Berlin. Yes, the Nazis were less than a year away from defeat. So, too, were the Japanese. But as Patton’s tank division approached Bastogne, a southern Belgium stronghold occupied by 15,000 U.S. troops and besieged by 50,000 German troops encircling it, he had a problem. Rain. Lots of it. “There is about four inches of liquid mud over everything,” Patton told his wife in a letter, “and it rains all the time, not hard but steadily.” What’s worse, he didn’t have the air cover

This ‘free health care’ comes with a 3 month wait time for a referral to a specialist, and another 3 months to get treated, with 2 month wait times for a CT scan, 4 months for an MRI and over a month for an ultrasound. Mostly it’s just easier not to bother. Half a million Canadians left ERs without seeing a doctor. And, in one year, over 23,000 patients died waiting for surgery. While it may take months to see a specialist, “the median wait time between first request and referral was 1 day” for Canada’s free death health care

Or, rather, for lobsterdom: “Boiling live lobsters to be banned under animal rights reforms.” In its animal welfare strategy, published on Monday, the government said that “live boiling is not an acceptable killing method”, while also setting out new farming standards and banning trail hunting. The strategy, which sets out a series of protections for pets, farmed animals and wild animals, said the government would publish guidance on the best way to kill decapod crustaceans such as crabs, lobsters and prawns. I would have thought that being plunged into boiling water would be a pretty humane way to kill a lobster.
