Rachel Maddow has a hilarious excuse for why Kamala Harris comes across as so vapid in public: she's actually sharp and incisive behind closed doors—we just don't get to see it when the cameras are rolling.
Sure, Rachel. Sure.
Maddow, now hosting on MS NOW (the rebranded MSNBC), recently appeared on the At Our Table podcast with former DNC Chair Jaime Harrison. At one point during the interview, the conversation turned to Kamala and her nationwide book tour promoting 107 Days. What followed was Maddow's attempt to explain away Kamala’s consistently horrible public appearances by insisting there's a secret, superior version of the former vice president that only a select few

In hindsight, Black Lives Matter was simply a race hustling shakedown to fatten the pockets of its leadership.
BLM co-founder Patrice Cullors resigned in 2021 over accusations of misspending the group’s donations on multimillion dollar properties including a mansion in Toronto, Canada as the New York Post reported.
Cullors is now joined by another prominent name from BLM Oklahoma City, 52-year-old Tashella Sheri Amore Dickerson.
The executive director of BLMOKC has been charged with wire fraud and money laundering as reported by KWTV-DT.
The United States Attorney’s office for the western district of Oklahoma put out a news release on the charges. “Beginning in late spring 2020, BLMOKC raised funds to support

The National Trust for Historic Preservation filed a lawsuit on Friday challenging President Donald Trump’s plans to construct a ballroom on the site of the demolished East Wing.
The trust, a congressionally chartered nonprofit, argued in a complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia that Trump and administration officials have violated, and are continuing to violate, the Administrative Procedure Act and National Environmental Policy Act by demolishing the East Wing and moving forward with construction of the ballroom.
The complaint said the administration violated the laws when it didn’t consult with the National Capital Planning Commission or the Commission of Fine Arts and failed to conduct

President Trump on Thursday granted Tina Peters a full pardon. Tina, a Gold Star Mother who is in poor health, is now serving nine years in a Colorado state prison for challenging the 2020 elections. The left wants her dead. Tina Peters has been found guilty on state charges and is serving time in a state prison, so the presidential pardon will not result in her immediate release. Last week, a magistrate judge dismissed Tina Peter’s habeas corpus petition seeking an early release from prison.
President Trump’s close friend, former schoolmate, and attorney, Peter Ticktin, recently wrote in a letter that Tina Peters has been attacked three times by other inmates.

The normally proud and defiant French are waving the white flag in the face of migrant terror.
Paris has shockingly decided to dim the lights on its annual New Year’s Eve fête along the iconic Champs-Élysées.
The massive midnight concert that drew a jubilant crowd of a million people last year — with the festivities having drawn throngs to the “most beautiful avenue in the world” for six decades — has been scrapped and replaced by a pre-recorded video to be viewed in the safety and comfort of French living rooms.
The fireworks will still illuminate the Arc de Triomphe when the clock strikes 12,

President Donald Trump recently cracked down on work requirements with the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program by means of the “Big Beautiful Bill.” The policy drastically expanded work requirements for those who want to continue receiving food stamps. But Nelson Scott, a 38-year-old able-bodied man from Tennessee, called the changes “some bulls**t” in a viral interview last month with WZTV. Scott is “38, not disabled, doesn’t have any kids, doesn’t go to school, and doesn’t have a job,” all of which work against him with respect to eligibility, according to WZTV. He was previously receiving $292 per month to pay for groceries.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom is a longtime supporter of the LGBTQ community — and that includes his trans godson, Nats Getty.
Newsom mentioned Getty, a designer, model and activist, as evidence of his empathy for the trans community even as he outraged many progressives for labeling trans participation in women’s sports “unfair.” Getty, 33, publicly came out as transgender in 2021 and uses he/him pronouns.Newsom mentioned Getty, a designer, model and activist, as evidence of his empathy for the trans community even as he outraged many progressives for labeling trans participation in women’s sports “unfair.”

Anyone who has been anticipating an announcement from the U.S. military about potential permanent fallout for former servicemembers or intelligence agency staffers over the release of that "illegal orders" video by six now-national Democrat lawmakers could be one step closer to hearing some news. As many RedState readers know, among the lawmakers was Arizona's senior senator, Mark Kelly, and it was Kelly whom the Pentagon singled out for a review for "serious allegations of misconduct.” Secretary of War Pete Hegseth ordered the Navy through a memorandum in late Nov. to take a long look into it, and submit a report with their findings/recommended actions.

I have been covering the "Paper or Plastic" game since George W. Bush was president. And it's only gotten more ridiculous. First California lawmakers banned paper bags because they "killed" trees -- the ultimate renewable resource. They replaced paper with plastic bags, which they are now banning to go back to tree-killing paper bags. Or you can carry your filthy multi-use cloth bags. (snip) The California legislature is stuck on stupid, and has been for a long time.

COCOA, Fla. - A 13-year-old boy will be tried as an adult after a grand jury indicted him on a charge of first-degree felony murder in the shooting death of a man during what prosecutors say was a botched robbery last month.
The teen, identified as Emeril Tytron Lemeul Rachel, was originally charged with manslaughter. The State Attorney’s Office said that charge "was not enough" based on evidence presented to the grand jury, which also indicted him on a charge of attempted robbery.
The backstory:
A grand jury returned the indictment against the teen, who investigators say arranged to meet 30-year-old Kelby Gavin Miller through a social media app before

The 19-year-old Israeli hostage, Noa Marciano, was murdered by a doctor in Gaza’s Shifa hospital, her father Avi Marciano disclosed in a social media post.
Noa, who Palestinian terrorists abducted from a kibbutz on October 7, 2023, was taken to Gaza City’s Shifa Hospital after sustaining minor ‘non-life-threatening’ injuries. Weeks after her abduction, and with Israeli troops advancing in the area, a Palestinian doctor “injected air into her vein,” Noa’s father said.

Barry Loudermilk, Chairman of the new House Republican-led Select Subcommittee on January 6, claims that key surveillance footage showing areas near the RNC and DNC where pipe bombs were placed the prior evening was not preserved. Republican Rep. Loudermilk (GA-11) made the jaw-dropping accusation in a recent interview.
"There's still so many questions regarding this, because one of the things that has raised our eyebrows is as we go and we look for video on January 6th, because we want early morning video on January 6th to see, did anybody go back to these locations?" he said.
