What Does The Republican Party Even Stand For?

Original Article

Posted By: Christopher L, 11/25/2025 12:31:47 PM

On Friday, the GOP-controlled House of Representatives did what many thought was unthinkable. In what can only be described as a stunning act of bravery, these bold Republicans - wait for it - passed a resolution that condemns socialism. The entire charade was like watching Olivia Nuzzi try to dish out marital advice. Consider that many of the same Republicans who enthusiastically voted to condemn socialism have had no problem bankrolling Obamacare, programs like SNAP, and every wallet-sucking entitlement program — all with zero intention of reforming or gutting any of them. It’s as ironic as it is comical.

There's a reason Congress has such a low approval rating. They do absolutely nothing to improve anything except their own bank account. If there is a new revolution in the future, you can point to abject failure of Congress and government in general for doing anything to improve the lives of the citizens while enriching themselves.

Too many Republicans have no real bedrock principles beyond power for themselves and saying some handy platitudes. And too many are dimwits, uneducated and unable to withstand a minor bit of pressure from the Enemedia, unable to put forth a cogent argument for the Constitution and our Republic. Republicans who don't see that we have always had a republic, not a democracy. I'd estimate that at least 10-25% of our elected "Republicans" fit this sad mold. d

The GOP Congress has done nothing. Trump had to push and prod them for the little was done. The GOP won the election 11-4-24, and proceeded not to hit the ground running, when they took over control of the Congress 1-2-25 -- no plans, nothing. A year later, no plans, no accomplishments, nothing. We are told they might begin hearings in January 2026. Jim Jordan tells us all the outrages of the Democrats, and when asked what is he going to do about it, says he is going to continue to gather information. The GOP is incapable of initiating action, or using power. Frankly, the GOP is afraid of the Democrats.

FTA - "Electing your preferred candidate isn’t the end of self-governance; it’s merely the beginning. Being a citizen means being fully engaged with your elected officials and government, whether it be at the local, state, or federal level." Fleetwood is being nice here. What he really means is for all of us to get off our behinds and to become more engaged in our Constitutional Republic. Writing our great comments here on L.Com isn't nearly enough. We can't expect our elected officials to constantly wipe our noses for us despite our voted them into office - they have to answer to their main donors, too. Where does out civic duty to vote fit in? Good question. Try talking it up - everywhere. Try going to your precinct caucus and influence people. Go to a campaign event and say something on behalf of your candidate. Or even try voting. Meanwhile, never forget that we don't have an msm going to bat for us like the dims do. Only we right-minded commoners can get the word out.

They stand for the deep state. They stand for apologizing for, paying for or ignoring anything Israel might do. They stand for sneaky contributions from the donors. They stand for surrender. Their motto should be "we dont have the votes". It was their go to phrase for the last 25 years or so. The differences between them as a group and the democrats as a group are minimal.

86% of PCR-Positive “COVID

A bombshell peer-reviewed study out of Germany just dismantled the scientific foundation used to justify lockdowns, social distancing, and vaccine mandates. When researchers compared the ALM’s week-by-week PCR positivity rates with the same labs’ IgG antibody testing data — essentially measuring who truly developed infection-induced immunity — they discovered something staggering: Only about 14% of those who tested PCR-positive during the early pandemic period (2020–mid-2021) actually developed antibodies — meaning most early “cases” were never real infections.

What happens when a child is promoted, grade by grade, through America’s K-12 school system but can’t actually perform at grade level in reading, writing or math? As the University of California at San Diego found, they get into college — and become someone else’s problem. Between 2020 and 2025, the number of freshmen with math skills below middle-school level “increased nearly thirtyfold” — unable to handle even the most basic high school math. In 2023, 13% of students could not perform at first-grade level, and 25% of kids got equation 7 + 2 = [ ] + 6 wrong.

You want to know why today’s kids know nothing about America’s past, and in fact in many cases actually believe falsely that America invented slavery and has always been an evil oppressive nation founded on that even more evil concept of capitalism, you need only compare pictures of two typical public school classrooms, one from 1909 and one from 2025.

Many Americans wonder if any jurist on the U.S. Supreme Court will ever be able to fill the shoes of the late, great Justice Antonin Scalia, who passed in 2016. President Trump has—so far—appointed three avowedly originalist justices with the potential to do so. In her new book, Listening to the Law: Reflections on the Court and Constitution, Associate Justice Amy Coney Barrett demonstrates that she has the intellect and judicial philosophy necessary to establish herself as a force on the Court in her own right. Barrett’s nomination to the U.S. Supreme Court by President Trump in 2020 was a dramatic moment, for several reasons.

In the swiftly degenerating world of western relationships one factor above all others can be identified as the culprit: Feminism. The driving force behind third-wave feminism is not the pursuit of equal rights it's the pursuit of power. Like any communist movement, unilateral power over society is the end goal. When power is the goal, such movements naturally attract narcissistic people. How can the nuclear family function when the female half of the equation is conditioned to become self serving, ego-maniacal, conflict oriented, status obsessed, victim obsessed and desperate for control? One particular trend has feminists enraged is "nose ring theory"

The 2020 census was marketed as an “actual enumeration,” a neutral count of people for apportionment and funding. It was not. The same official who helped block a basic citizenship question in 2018, John M. Abowd, then the Census Bureau’s Chief Scientist, pushed through a new, opaque methodology in 2020 called differential privacy. The new system deliberately injected mathematical noise into every block count in America, turning the census from a headcount into a model with knobs. The knob that mattered most was a single parameter, epsilon, a secrecy shroud known only to a small inner circle.

Charlie Kirk died for the same cause that David Horowitz was assaulted for, that Robert Spencer was banned for, and that Ben Shapiro faced bomb threats for: free speech on campus. Charles Murray could be physically assaulted at a college while the perpetrators walked away with a ‘mark’ on their permanent record, the willingness of conservatives to appear on campus was an act of courage. To do it the way that Charlie Kirk did was sheer heroism. There’s no question ... that the majority of campuses, professors and students only became more hostile to free speech since his campaign began.

Within hours of her 2016 presidential campaign loss, a devastated Hillary Clinton attributed her defeat not to the American voters who rejected her, but to Russia, echoing a campaign theme she had been developing for months. “Hillary declined to take responsibility for her own loss” and “kept pointing her finger” at Russia, according to Shattered, a 2017 book about her campaign—“Her team coalesced around the idea that Russian hacking was the major unreported story of the campaign.” The corporate media were also devastated, To the extent possible, they would help promote Clinton’s blame game.

What can you say in the aftermath of a national tragedy like Charlie Kirk’s assassination? In the 24 hours or so since Kirk was gunned down in Utah by a shooter ... we’ve been treated to a torrent of predictable responses: outrage and hurt from those who knew and loved him, sadistic glee from many who didn’t, and, from the vast majority of Americans in-between, some version of the following sentiment: We can’t allow this sort of thing to happen in America. Amen, selah. But to stop the next shooter we need to understand where this one came from first.

It’s another day ending in “y,” so it’s another day when a federal judge jumps in to thwart the Trump administration. The Department of Justice is almost certain to appeal the ruling. Meanwhile, the case was dismissed without prejudice, meaning the charges could still be refiled, although in the case of Comey, that may be in doubt given that the statute of limitations has since run.

In 2018, as California was laying the groundwork to build a new 911 system for the state, a massive fire ripped through Butte County, decimating several Northern California communities and killing over 80 people. The devastating Camp Fire, which wiped out cell towers and hampered emergency communication during critical hours, was on everyone’s minds as the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services worked to design the state’s future emergency communication system. Between 2019 and 2025, California paid four technology companies over $450 million to build out its Next Generation 911 system, But when the time came to turn that system on, it didn’t work.

As a three-time Trump voter with no regrets, I don’t like this message any more than most of you. So don’t shoot me, I’m just the messenger. The message is the Republicans in next fall’s midterm elections will lose the House, bigly, and probably the Senate. If politics is indeed “war by other means,” expect the political war next fall to be bloody. Think Battle of the Little Bighorn. Think Stalingrad. Think Pickett’s Charge. Think the Battle of Midway. Think Waterloo. It will be one-sided. Oh, I know the President has done some terrific things – at great personal risk to himself, by the way – even if they were sometimes done unartfully.

Democrats are seeking to put limits on private donations to foot the bill for President Donald Trump's new White House ballroom amid what they say are bribery concerns. Trump announced in October that construction had started on the ballroom — leading to the demolition of the White House’s historic East Wing — and would be privately funded at an estimated cost of $300 million. That was up from the $200 million estimate first provided in July when the project was unveiled. But Democrats are concerned the donors — including individuals and other organizations — are footing the bill for the project because they are seeking

Comer warned the former president and his twice-failed presidential candidate wife that dodging these subpoenas with written answers will not cut it—it's a clear no-go, and could invite contempt of Congress charges. Originally subpoenaed in August, the Clintons asked their lawyer to request that the committee accept written statements rather than require them to sit for live depositions. Their attorney, David Kendall, claimed that written answers would be the “most efficient and equitable” approach. Comer shot that down.

Last week a radio host in Salt Lake City asked me a question I didn’t expect. We’d been talking about my “jobs Americans won’t do” article, which kind of kicked the anthill, and everything stayed within the usual lanes: illegal immigration, wages, hiring incentives, hollowed-out towns. Then, at the very end, he asked the only question that really matters: “So how do we fix it?” Not describe it or rant about it. Fix it. My answer, essentially, was, "It's complicated." There isn’t a bumper-sticker answer. And there certainly isn’t a partisan one. The problem goes much deeper than illegal immigration, though illegal immigration made it far worse.
