Tribes: A Melting Pot No Longer?

"Every kingdom divided against itself is laid waste, and no city or household divided against itself will stand." Jesus Christ, Matthew 12:25 (RSV) In grade school, I often heard about our country's "Melting Pot," a symbol of the blending of diverse ethnicities united by the idea that we are a nation formed by various groups coming together to create a new and distinct culture unlike any other. As a predominantly Christian nation, we welcomed everyone through legal immigration. We expected everyone to share the same values—freedom, self-reliance, capitalism, and the willingness to learn and speak English. It wasn't about just living in America or being dependent, expecting freebies.

No matter what you do, DO NOT vote for a Democrat for any public office. From President to Dog Catcher. It is a matter of life and death - not just metaphorically!

E pluribus unum anyone? We cannot allow our country to be fractured, or tribalized by people who wish to destroy it.

Decades ago the YPO featured an excellent book on Africa. One of its onlusions was tbat the still-tribal nature of Africa - its countries - would always be a negative in any attempt at progress, development, democracy. Everything. Tribes remain tribes. They do not assimilate.

#3: Thank you for the reference to YPO, it was new to me. Check it out at Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Young_Presidents%27_Organization I would strongly recommend Herbert Philbrick's book: " I Led Three Lives" Published in 1952. Most Democrat voters are foolishly self righteous and too many are just lazy looking for someone to figuratively or actually feed and clothe them. Their leadership take advantage by being manipulative and divisive. They want power and control over us; they create problems with palliative language which fail and then claim only they can can fix them. They see themselves as our saviors and are unrepentent in their failures. Some are naive but many are pure evil. And too many of the naive are my kin.

First, I am not a doctor, but I have medical experience in Respiratory Therapy. When the COVID-19 “Flu” emerged, I knew that an effective vaccine could not have been manufactured and tested effectively in that amount of time. I also knew that the 6-foot distancing rule was nothing more than political and social theatre. The mask fiasco was not only unnecessary, but it created more problems than it solved. Rebreathing damp, contaminated carbon dioxide-laden (CO2) air can lead to hypercapnia and even hypoxia. For these reasons, neither my better half nor I received the jab or ever wore a mask, and when we did experience the COVID “flu,” it lasted

A Long Island neurosurgeon who has the misfortune to be named Dr Jeffrey Epstein has an ingenious idea for how he might respond to Texas Democratic Rep. Jasmine Crockett after she confused him with the notorious sex offender of the same name. “I think that I should contribute money to Jasmine Crockett and then let everybody know that she also took money from Jeffrey Epstein,” the physician joked to The New York Post. Crockett threatened on the floor of the House of Representatives Tuesday that she was “gonna expose it all” after discovering that “somebody named Jeffrey Epstein” had donated to the campaign of the former New York Republican congressman Lee Zeldin,

One of the last presidential acts of Joe Biden (or whoever was running the autopen) was to commute the death sentences of 37 federal prisoners awaiting execution. That was a dastardly little piece of grandstanding, when you consider the nature of these people's crimes. When it comes to presidential pardons and commutations, though, what's done is done, and these acts can't be undone. But we should note that in the case of these commutations, the goblins who were awaiting a date with a needle have now only been reprieved as far a life sentence; they will (justly) never breathe free air again, and the Trump administration's Justice

When you're running for public office, one thing you don't want to do is to say anything related to hating the community/city/state you seek to represent. And yet that is exactly the situation Aftyn Behn, a woke, pro-Mamdani Democrat in the Tennessee state legislature, finds herself in with less than two weeks to go before the special election for the state's 7th Congressional District. Behn, who is the Democrat nominee in the race, is under the microscope this week after comments she made during a 2020 podcast about hating Nashville resurfaced, as we reported. "I hate the city, I hate the bachelorettes, I hate the pedal taverns, I hate country music,

HOMOSASSA, Fla. — An 84-year-old Citrus County beekeeper has been reunited with most of his stolen beehives after his story went viral, generating more than 2 million views and prompting volunteers to help return the insects that serve as his primary source of income. Richard Marquette discovered someone had removed 20 active beehives from his property in July, taking away his main source of income. Joseph Denick admitted to arranging for the hives to be moved, blaming the incident on confusion over property lines and promising to return them. But he didn't follow through. "I can't figure out why they won't bring them back or at least pay me for the bees

For the most part it was a pretty quiet week. Many longstanding stories continued to make headlines: the UN adopted President Trump’s peace plan for Gaza; the administration’s crackdown on illegal immigration continued, as did the Democrats’ lawlessness; and there were various shutdown post mortems. These topics did not gain the attention of meme-makers. Rather, this was the week of Jeffrey Epstein. Or, rather, the week when the Democrats got their wish, thousands of pages of Epstein documents were released, and the upshot was–as we already knew–that Epstein, a Democrat, had Democratic friends and hated Donald Trump. So the whole thing, from the Democrats’ standpoint, was an exploding cigar:

The man accused of setting a woman on fire on a Chicago transit train this week has been charged with federal terrorism, according to a criminal complaint. Lawrence Reed, 50, was charged with one count of committing a terrorist attack or other violence against a mass transportation system Wednesday in the Northern District of Illinois. The incident unfolded just before 9:30 p.m. Monday on a CTA blue line train. Security video captured the moment a man whom authorities identified as Reed walked through the train car holding a bottle and approached the victim, a 26-year-old woman with her back toward him. He poured liquid over her head and tried to ignite it,

ABC News might soon find itself staring down another expensive defamation lawsuit from President Trump, and honestly, it wouldn't come as a shock. On a recent episode of The View, Joy Behar confidently claimed that it was "obvious" Trump was a pedophile connected with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, implicating him in Epstein’s crimes. This wild accusation came without a shred of evidence tying Trump to Epstein’s criminal activities. In fact, Trump is arguably one of the few prominent figures who did the right thing and severed ties with Epstein years ago, unlike many Democrats who have since been ensnared in the fallout. Despite the Democrats’ best efforts, the recent dump

Among Donald Trump’s contributions to our public life is the revelation that a politician can, after all, pursue a defamation case successfully. Of course, it can happen only in extreme circumstances, but Trump Derangement Syndrome frequently gives rise to extreme circumstances. And Trump’s haters can’t seem to learn from experience. Thus we have the latest outrage from The View, a television program on which a group of harridans shriek DNC talking points: ABC News may soon be facing down another costly defamation suit from President Trump. On Thursday’s edition of The View, moderator Joy Behar proclaimed that it was “obvious” that Trump was a pedophile in league with convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein,

Tatiana Schlossberg, 35, said she watched in horror from her hospital bed as RFK Jr was confirmed for the top health post in February. President Donald Trump announced Friday night that he is ending the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) program for Somali migrants in Minnesota, and claimed "Somali gangs" are bullying Americans in the state. The TPS program allows certain migrants to stay in the country legally if they cannot return home due to natural disasters, armed conflicts or other extraordinary events, and Minnesota has, in recent decades, become the home of tens of thousands of Somalians due to resettlement. Trump claimed in a post on Truth Social that Minnesota's Democratic Gov. Tim Walz has allowed the state to be a "hub of fraudulent money laundering activity,

A liberal columnist complained Thursday about hearing the American national anthem in Washington, D.C., the nation’s capital. Jamie Stiehm, who has contributed to several corporate media outlets, including The New York Times and The Washington Post, wrote for The Capital Times on Thursday that though the “Star-Spangled Banner” might be appropriate for “ballparks and stadiums,” it is “dissonant” to play before a classical music concert in today’s political climate. Stiehm said that classical music transcends international boundaries, but the national anthem pulls the arts back into the orbit of President Donald Trump’s influence. After attending a symphony at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts

It ain’t so much the things we don’t know that — Mark Twain (attributed) What’s the one thing everyone knows about capitalism? Why, that it started out as a mean, nasty tool of greedy industrialists, of course. “The Industrial Revolution,” we all learned, was a terrible Moloch that devoured children, put profits before people, and, though it made great fortunes (or, perhaps, partly because it made great fortunes), was a wicked development. The Industrial Revolution, we’ve all been taught, was the original sin of capitalism, necessary, perhaps, to prime the engine of economic progress, but lamentable nevertheless.
