Today the Pentagon announced that it is investigating Senator Mark Kelly’s involvement in that incitement to insurrection: (Snip) As Secretary Hegseth said, Senator Kelly is subject to the Uniform Code of Military Justice. If appropriate, he could be recalled to active duty and courtmartialed. I assume that a number of cases have been decided under the UCMJ, that involve encouraging soldiers to disobey orders. Vice President JD Vance sharply criticized six Democratic lawmakers who encouraged military troops to defy orders from their superiors, suggesting they themselves had committed an "illegal" act.
Vance was responding to one of the individuals involved in the video message to service members and intelligence officials, Sen. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI), who admitted she was "not aware" of any illegal orders being issued by the Commander-in-Chief.
