President Trump commuted serial fabulist and former GOP Rep. George Santos’ seven-year prison sentence on Friday, citing “horrible” mistreatment by the Bureau of Prisons and claiming Santos’ unlawful conduct was not nearly as bad as the fibs of Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.).
In a late afternoon Truth Social post, the president stated: “George has been in solitary confinement for long stretches of time and, by all accounts, has been horribly mistreated. Therefore, I just signed a Commutation, releasing George Santos from prison, IMMEDIATELY. Good luck George, have a great life!” Santos, 36, sobbed in court during his sentencing after pleading guilty to federal wire fraud and aggravated identity theft in August.

George "SickoPsycho" Santos gets released from prison after serving less than 90 days of seven-year prison sentence. Huh?

Do I recall correctly that Santos voted mostly conservative but was routed by pearl-clutching R's, only to then be replaced by a D? Way to go, dopes!

Good news. Now, Mr. President, can you please find way to free Tina Peters from prison in Colorado. As my County Clerk, she did nothing wrong. Except for having the courage to expose the Colorado deep state for election fraud in 2020 and the dims and lefty district Judge Matthew Barrett deciding to make an example of her.

Barack Obama has committed crimes far more serious than Santos has but he hasn't set foot in a jail - yet. So have Joe and his loser of a son.

Well #3, Santos paid a heavy price as the sacrificial lamb for what the rest of the freaks in Congress do everyday with no consequences.

Thank you, President Trump! As I’ve said since the whole Santos saga started, George didn’t do anything that Biden didn’t do on a much larger scale.

#7... Yes, yes, yes. When we lived in CA we followed what was being done to Tina Peters for
exposing fraud and corruption in Colorado during the 2020 election cycle.
FREE TINA PETERS! Awful what was done to her for crossing the Deep State.

Question for someone more knowledgeable than me… who is in charge of prison/jail administrators who are doing all the mistreatment of prisoners? First all the J6 stories, now this— who has jurisdiction over the Federal Bureau of Prisons? Who has the ability to fire or hold prison officials accountable??

Recall the heinous treatment of the Jan 6 fiasco. Prisoners kept in jali with no legal help. They rotted in jail. All of this seems to be the way demos punish those who get in their way. I really get furious when I think of those "prisoners" Is this a country that punishes and tortures human beings and not having their legal needs taken care of. So my sympathies to Santos and any other person (s) who have been inhumanely treated by the USA. This has got to stop.

Apologies for the second post. For all the lawyers who might see this: do pardoned prisoners have any recourse to civil lawsuits/class action lawsuits to hold prison officials accountable?
