An Arizona town competing for basic access to clean water has sunk more than 18 feet over the past eight decades — with no signs of stopping — as locals struggle to make headway against area megafarms reportedly sucking the land dry.
Residents of Wenden, an unincorporated community roughly 60 miles east of the Colorado River Reservation, have had to pivot to digging thousands of feet underground just to reach groundwater.
For many towns, this wouldn’t be an issue. But along the Colorado River, communities and companies are locked in battles over its water supply.

On Friday, Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent appeared opposite NBC's Kristen Welker on "Meet the Press," and predictably, she pressed the SecTreas on the August jobs report. As is so often the case, Mr. Bessent just wasn't having it.
The first topic to come up was the recent (mildly disappointing) August jobs report. Look, we're not going to do economic policy off of one number. We believe that good policies are in place that are going to create good high high-paying jobs for the American people. Two, let's look at the efficacy of this number. August is the noisiest month of the year.

It doesn’t matter what is in this documentary or if anyone ever sees it. It will not finish off Trump.
Here is why:
I spent the last year examining the six major “lawfare” cases against President Trump in between his two presidential administrations, and the E. Jean Carroll case was easily the most absurd on its face. Key details: in 2019, advice columnist and former Saturday Night Live writer E. Jean Carroll wrote an account in New York magazine alleging that Donald Trump sexually assaulted her in a Bergdorf Goodman department store dressing room in 1995. Or maybe it was 1996. She can’t exactly remember.

If you by chance believed that congressional committees were helmed by elected officials who did their homework and were trying to do more than get face time on the evening news, you certainly learned this week what a farce these hearings can be. Here’s Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. testifying before the Senate Finance Committee, members of which are richly financed by the pharmaceutical companies that have made mountains of money on vaccines:If you didn’t realize before this that the CDC needs a thorough housekeeping after it mandated with no scientific basis six-feet distances, useless masks,

President Donald Trump has reached his highest approval rating ever, according to a new Daily Mail/J.L. Partners poll conducted between late August and early September.
The poll shows a consistent upward trend for the President since early June, when it sat at 47 percent.
Now, a significant number—55 percent—approve of the way Mr. Trump is performing, compared to 45 percent who disapprove. The President has never seen numbers like this previously.
"This is the highest approval figure we have ever shown for Donald Trump," said JL Partners co-founder James Johnson in a statement to the Daily Mail.
This record high reflects growing popularity in the President's anti-crime, anti-illegal immigration policies.

In his Breitbart op-ed, published Friday, Wilson described accompanying Ambassador Tom Barrack and Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) on a recent trip to Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon, where he said he witnessed historic opportunities for peace and stability following Assad’s ouster in December 2024. Wilson argued that the Caesar Act, enacted in 2019 to impose sanctions on Assad’s government, now hinders U.S. policy by discouraging long-term investment in Syria’s reconstruction. Speaking to Breitbart News, Wilson explained President Trump’s efforts had created “a real opportunity” to stabilize Syria and the Middle East. He compared Assad’s fall to the collapse of the Berlin Wall in 1989-

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) on Saturday slammed President Trump after reports of a White House takeover of the 9/11 Memorial & Museum were published by numerous outlets.
“The @Sept11Memorial belongs to the families, survivors, and first responders who’ve carried its legacy for more than two decades,” Hochul wrote in a statement on X, with a screenshot of reporting from the New York Times. “Instead of politicizing this sacred site, the President should restore 9/11 health care funding and support victims’ families,” she continued.
The White House and museum did not immediately respond to The Hill’s request for comments.

The same communists in the Democratic Party who screamed "Stay out of our Bedrooms" are now trying to slime their way into our kids' homeschooling.
New Jersey is considering a bill that would force homeschoolers to teach a myriad of loony, left-wing propaganda to their kids. The communist curriculum includes the three-headed hydra of leftist propaganda: gender garbage, DEI, and climate studies.

The former Delaware senator turned vice president turned one-term president has put together a group of “former aides, friends, and political allies” to begin the extensive fundraising effort and locate a specific location, the Associated Press reported Saturday. However, as the wire service pointed out, “Biden’s library team has the daunting task of raising money for the 46th president’s legacy project at a moment when his party has become fragmented about the way ahead and many big Democratic donors have stopped writing checks.”
President Donald Trump’s persistent reminders about the failures of the Biden administration also exacerbate the challenge.

We've written before about the mainstream media's penchant for seeming to manufacture alleged "feuds" between various members of the Trump administration, citing unnamed sources who have suggested, among other things, feelings of resentment between cabinet officials and among senior advisors. One of the more notable ones, which we wrote about at the time, involved Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Steve Witkoff, United States Special Envoy to the Middle East, and a longtime close friend of President Trump. A CNN hit piece from March claimed without evidence that Rubio was miffed because he allegedly thought he was being "overshadowed" by Witkoff.

Investigations revealed that the IRGC had employed intermediaries in Australia, including organized crime networks, to carry out these attacks, demonstrating the regime's continuing reliance on proxies to pursue its hostile objectives abroad.
From the 1980s onward. Iran has been implicated in multiple deadly attacks against American troops in Lebanon, killing hundreds of U.S. diplomats and military personnel, all carried out by Hezbollah under Tehran's guidance.
The Iranian regime also had a role in the September 11, 2001 attacks on the US. In 2018, a U.S. federal court ruling determined that Iran provided material support to Al-Qaeda in the period leading up to and following the 9/11 attacks,

The U.S. economy added 22,000 jobs in August, the Labor Department reported Friday, as the unemployment rate edged up to 4.3 percent—figures that come amid growing questions about the reliability of the government’s closely watched monthly employment data and criticism of the Federal Reserve for holding off on cutting interest rates despite a slowdown in hiring.Economists had expected employers to add 77,000 workers to payrolls, with estimates ranging from 59,000 to 110,000, according to Econoday’s survey. They correctly forecasted unemployment would rise to 4.3 percent.
