We’ve covered the story extensively—Donald Trump sees the ongoing, unthinkable level of crime and violence that goes on daily in the nation’s capital, decides to do something about it, federalizes the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), and deploys the National Guard. What happens? Crime plummets to levels not seen in years. If you’re a Democrat, however, you don’t like this for several reasons: 1) It makes President Trump look good, which you can’t stomach even if lives are at stake, and 2) you don’t actually care about crime and don’t mind seeing it continue in our nation’s cities. How embarassing it must be to claim to be a Democrat these days, at least if one has a modicum of integrity... Then again, if one had integrity they wouldn't be a despicable Democrat in the first place.

DC self control is like the student council at a high school. They might think they have their offices and are in control, but ultimately, the school administrators really have final responsibility over everything. They step in and take control when needed whether students like it or not.

It's getting more difficult for democrats to claim that they are on the right side of humanity when they continue fighting to keep violent crime in their cities. Somebody is paying these people a lot of under-the-table money to fight the President.

Trump Administration attorneys cleared this legally before it was launched. Washington DC is a federal district and is not governed like a state. It would be a different story if we were talking about Chicago. Some liberal judge will rule against it and will be overturned on appeal. In the meantime liberals are trying once again to kill off what is obviously a success story in favor of letting the criminals go back to business as usual. Definitely not a good look for Democrats.

Even when crime was under control, the only decent places in DC are those sites and lands that are under federal government control, and even then, the non-federal DC city controlled areas leach into the federal areas/zones. Congress should have NEVER passed the DC Home Rule Bill - as if the blacks in DC would ever vote Republican... fools. And since I no longer have to work in DC - the whole place can rot away.

We already have a US Attorney (Jeanine Pirro, appointed by PDJT) for DC. Seems to me that DC having its own "Attorney General" is, at best, duplication of effort. (Though I understand the politics involved here with "home rule" DC pols wanting to position DC as a state ahead of its unconstitutional attempt to actually become a state.) When (not if) "home rule" is revoked and the mayor's job is eliminated (replaced by a Congressionally-appointed "city manager" -- as things were pre- "Jimmuh Carter"), the next job to be eliminated should be that of the "DC Attorney General"...

If the Democrat "brand" was at its "zenith" in the 1930's through the 60's then it is definitely at the "nadir" now. It's stands for nothing short of South American, Banana Republic Communism now. Just look at whom they laud and the aggrieved parties for whom they seek to freedom from deportation over illegally invading this nation and stealing taxpayer funded goods and services. Democrats would like nothing better than to make this country into "Venezuela-north." The Party of Slavery is going down hard within the next two years, and you can tell it by how old time Party hacks, like James Carville, are always angry, short of temper, and lacking for "solutions" along the only path left for Democrat campaigning. Big Donor money is running for the exits and the bets are on the GOP under Trump/Vance. We are witnessing a Renaissance of American nationalism.

This summer, President Trump and Congress have been extremely successful with remaking the American economy to deliver for workers and businesses, passing the “One Big Beautiful Bill” Act (OBBB) in July that extends important tax cuts and unleashes American energy. In particular, American energy dominance and independence was a key winner, as numerous provisions repealed Biden-era giveaways to green energy that held back our economy, making energy less reliable and affordable. Yet the OBBB is just the first step for unleashing American energy, and the next step must be comprehensive permitting reform. With these mandates to expand our national energy dominance,

In an unprecedented escalation of Islamist persecution, Jamaat-e-Islami — the Bangladeshi ideological offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) — has begun imposing the jizya tax on Hindus and other non-Muslims, openly declaring its intent to replace the country's secular democratic framework with Islamic sharia law. Backed by Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence, and linked to global jihadist networks, including Al Qaeda, Jamaat-e-Islami's move comes just months after a coup that brought Muhammad Yunus to power, triggering a rapid rise in radical Islamic influence. This development threatens not only Bangladesh's fragile democracy but also poses a strategic security risk to South Asia and the wider free world.

Macron spoke after a meeting in Paris of the so-called “coalition of the willing,” a group of 35 countries who support Ukraine. He said that 26 of the countries had committed to deploying troops in Ukraine — or to maintaining a presence on land, at sea, or in the air — to help guarantee the country’s security the day after a ceasefire or peace is achieved.

Key changes in the manual show that “Gulf of Mexico” is switched to “Gulf of America” and “Notice to Air Mission” is revised to “Notice to Airmen.”

It does not matter if individuals become naturalized citizens of the United States, so long as they retain the citizenship from wherever they came, they should not be allowed to serve in the American government. Either they renounce their foreign citizenship, or stop serving in our government. And, it is more preferable that they self-deport if they feel strongly about keeping the other citizenship. As founder John Jay expressed in 1787, “Permit me to hint, whether it would not be wise and seasonable to provide a strong check to the admission of Foreigners into the administration of our national Government.”

One of the bitter fruits of President Joe Biden’s single term in office is this: An administration obsessed with policies designed to reduce income inequality actually widened the gap between rich and poor. That’s the conclusion from Unleash Prosperity’s advance analysis of Census Bureau data on household incomes through the end of 2024. These Census Bureau income numbers include business income, investment income, dividends, wages, salaries and most cash government welfare benefits, including Social Security. Our chart (below) shows what happened with middle-class incomes over the 48 months of President Donald Trump’s first term (2017-21), as compared to the subsequent Biden term (2021-25).

Starting Aug. 19, the day after the logo was revealed, transactions slowed at Cracker Barrel restaurants, according to debit and credit card data from Bloomberg Second Measure, a data analytics provider. That sales decline gained steam through Aug. 26 as diners slammed the new logo – a modern, sleek reimagining that erased an illustration of beloved folksy farmer Uncle Herschel. Other full-service restaurants showed mixed results during the same period, in a sign that Cracker Barrel’s sudden downturn was due to brand damage, according to Bloomberg.

That issue presented itself with executive orders, as told by Speaker Mike Johnson. The mountain of clemency petitions was navigated by a shoddy chain of command among top Biden staffers, and again, it presented issues about whether Joe Biden was aware of what was going on

Was floating a ban on trans people owning guns just some basement-level idiot’s idea for “owning the libs”? In the wake of Robin Westman’s deadly Minneapolis rampage, some troll in the bowels of the Trump Justice Department reportedly proposed blocking trans people from buying firearms by declaring them all “mentally ill.” This, of course, is absurd as a simple matter of law: No rule that strips a (dubiously-defined) group of their Second Amendment rights has any chance of holding up in court. And if it did somehow survive, that’s an open invitation for future progs to create their own “mentally ill by definition” categories — deployable to limit lots of other rights.
