We’ve covered the story extensively—Donald Trump sees the ongoing, unthinkable level of crime and violence that goes on daily in the nation’s capital, decides to do something about it, federalizes the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), and deploys the National Guard.
What happens? Crime plummets to levels not seen in years.
If you’re a Democrat, however, you don’t like this for several reasons: 1) It makes President Trump look good, which you can’t stomach even if lives are at stake, and 2) you don’t actually care about crime and don’t mind seeing it continue in our nation’s cities. (Some might think that’s a harsh assessment—

How embarassing it must be to claim to be a Democrat these days, at least if one has a modicum of integrity... Then again, if one had integrity they wouldn't be a despicable Democrat in the first place.

DC self control is like the student council at a high school. They might think they have their offices and are in control, but ultimately, the school administrators really have final responsibility over everything. They step in and take control when needed whether students like it or not.

It's getting more difficult for democrats to claim that they are on the right side of humanity when they continue fighting to keep violent crime in their cities. Somebody is paying these people a lot of under-the-table money to fight the President.

Dems would rather maintain the problem(crime) rather than find a solution for the problem.
Gotta keep the gravy train.....forever.

Trump Administration attorneys cleared this legally before it was launched. Washington DC is a federal district and is not governed like a state. It would be a different story if we were talking about Chicago. Some liberal judge will rule against it and will be overturned on appeal. In the meantime liberals are trying once again to kill off what is obviously a success story in favor of letting the criminals go back to business as usual. Definitely not a good look for Democrats.

Even when crime was under control, the only decent places in DC are those sites and lands that are under federal government control, and even then, the non-federal DC city controlled areas leach into the federal areas/zones. Congress should have NEVER passed the DC Home Rule Bill - as if the blacks in DC would ever vote Republican... fools. And since I no longer have to work in DC - the whole place can rot away.

Of course they like crime.
They are all criminals themselves.
At minimum they are all unindicted (so far) Co-conspirators.

Here's a campaign slogan for the Republicans to use against the demonrats in 2026/2028.
Democrats are fighting for Crime, Criminals, and Illegals; the Republicans are fighting for
law and order for the American citizens. The American public votes 80/20 for that.

We already have a US Attorney (Jeanine Pirro, appointed by PDJT) for DC. Seems to me that DC having its own "Attorney General" is, at best, duplication of effort. (Though I understand the politics involved here with "home rule" DC pols wanting to position DC as a state ahead of its unconstitutional attempt to actually become a state.) When (not if) "home rule" is revoked and the mayor's job is eliminated (replaced by a Congressionally-appointed "city manager" -- as things were pre- "Jimmuh Carter"), the next job to be eliminated should be that of the "DC Attorney General"...

#10, my thought EXACTLY!
President Trump is within his authority to do this in DeeCee, but I think not in any of the States.
But by threatening to do it, he provokes the 'Rats into loudly proclaiming themselves in favor of the criminal activity in their cities.

If the Democrat "brand" was at its "zenith" in the 1930's through the 60's then it is definitely at the "nadir" now. It's stands for nothing short of South American, Banana Republic Communism now. Just look at whom they laud and the aggrieved parties for whom they seek to freedom from deportation over illegally invading this nation and stealing taxpayer funded goods and services. Democrats would like nothing better than to make this country into "Venezuela-north."
The Party of Slavery is going down hard within the next two years, and you can tell it by how old time Party hacks, like James Carville, are always angry, short of temper, and lacking for "solutions" along the only path left for Democrat campaigning. Big Donor money is running for the exits and the bets are on the GOP under Trump/Vance. We are witnessing a Renaissance of American nationalism.

“They” don’t particularly like the crime. But they do treasure the attending skim, baksheesh and vigorish that criminals provide.
