To Serve In American Government

It does not matter if individuals become naturalized citizens of the United States, so long as they retain the citizenship from wherever they came, they should not be allowed to serve in the American government.
Either they renounce their foreign citizenship, or stop serving in our government. And, it is more preferable that they self-deport if they feel strongly about keeping the other citizenship. As founder John Jay expressed in 1787, “Permit me to hint, whether it would not be wise and seasonable to provide a strong check to the admission of Foreigners into the administration of our national Government.”

#1, alas and alak, “obvious” has left the room.
With all due respect to Ms Thies, if John Jay came back, he would think he’s in the Twilight Zone.

Best would be to expel them from government, or the USA really. But as a start, divide their votes by the number of citizenships they hold; since they clearly have divided loyalties.

Those fuzzy little foreigners who became American citizens and got elected to office have done a mountain of damage to the country, especially those in the judicial system. There are quite a few who have done a lot of good, but those who oppose the American way of life have caused so much trouble, this practice definitely needs addressed.

Which is why a presidential candidate must be born of TWO NATURAL BORN CITIZENS of the USA. It’s because of loyalty.
Another is a person who wants to become a citizen must pass a test. No president should be allowed
to give amnesty to anyone. Again. Loyalty

Well Thank You!! I have been singing that Song for a long time. It seems to me we are very Stupid to allow a Foreigner to make the Rules we American's live by. Maybe the folks in NY should wake up to that fact before they are ruled by someone who doesn't even speak our Language like an American! Trump should push that Rule through Congress and get it passed. Then boot out ALL of those in Both Houses immediately! They hate our Country and are not afraid to say so loud and Clear. Throw them out!

One would think that's a no-brainer but nooo, we have to prove how open-minded and woke we are. More like open-skulled where the brains have fallen out. What in God's name is wrong with Leftists?

If only. The fact that foreigners in the form of fake palestinians, communists, Somali refugees, Africans of all stripes from third world cultures and hispanics taking the side of hispanic countries, cause as many problems as the illegal alien immigrants in our population. I'm sure the Constitution would have included that language if our founders had known that leaders a few hundred years in the future would be stupid enough to allow other countries to participate in our government.

In addition, the restriction would have spared us from eight or more years of Barack Obama.

As far as Federal Judges are concerned it should be up to Congress, since Congress created the Federal Courts, to fix that situation where a Federal Judge who holds foreign citizenship can now issue court orders telling the elected President of the USA what he or she can do or not do, including apparently matters connected to national security. You know that the Biden crew has been nominating and the congressional Democrats have been confirming such leftist Democrat Judges as a part of their DEI initiatives. Such Judges no doubt, should be held to the same native born citizenship requirements as Presidents of the USA.

Sometimes the issue of so-called derivative foreign citizenship as it relates to native born US citizens can be complicated, with the native born US citizen not even knowing that he or she is considered to be such a duel citizen under the laws of the foreign country(s) where his or her parent(s) were born. That usually occurs after a native born US citizen’s parent or parents were born in a foreign country and then sometime later immigrated, either illegally or legally to the USA, with the law of that foreign country granting automatic derivative citizenship to offspring of the parents. Sometimes that even extends to the grandchildren of such foreign born people.
As an example, I recently ran into a situation where a man who was an immigrant in the USA during 1886, applied for and was granted naturalized US citizenship. After living in the USA for a decade, he returned to his country of birth because he inherited property there. While there he married, had a number of children born there before 1922, and passed away while still retaining naturalized US citizenship. Apparently before 1922 children born abroad to a US citizen father were considered to be derivative US citizens under US Nationality law. About 1927 one of his foreign born daughters came to the USA as a young adult with a legal immigrant visa. Under the US Naturalization laws of that time based upon the fact that her father was a naturalized US citizen, she was given a certificate of US citizenship, married a native born US citizen, had a number of children born in the USA, and passed away in the USA. Years later her children found out that since their mother was born in that foreign country that under the laws of that country, that is friendly to the USA, that they are considered to be citizens of that foreign country, did not have to apply for that foreign citizenship, and could easily apply for a passport of that country on-line by submitting a passport application supported by their mother’s foreign civil birth certificate showing that she was born in that foreign country along with their US civil birth certificate showing that she was their mother. Specifically, but not related to the people above, I understand that people born in the USA to Mexican citizens in the USA both illegally and legally, under the Mexican Constitution are considered to be Mexican citizens, that includes millions of people, and currently under US law they are considered to be US citizens because of their birth in the USA. So you can see from these examples that so-called duel citizenship situations can be pretty complicated! Should such a US born individual be able to serve in any US Government position?

I'll go a step further: if foreign birth is an automatic disqualifier for POTUS, because it might foster divided loyalties, then it should also be for any other govt job.
