After a series of high-profile setbacks, SpaceX made significant progress in righting the ship for its Starship program, at least for one mission.
The latest generation of the world's most powerful rocket and spacecraft combo completed its mission on Tuesday evening during its 10th test flight, achieving the company's primary objectives.
The combination of the Starship, which could someday carry astronauts and cargo to the moon and Mars, and the Super Heavy booster, the rocket that propels the Starship in space, is more than 400 feet tall, made of stainless steel, and is being designed by SpaceX to be fully reusable.

Elon Musk has shared an England flag on his X profile in an apparent nod of support towards a campaign to fly British and English national colours in towns and cities across the country in recent weeks. The South African tech billionaire, 54, who has paternal English relatives from Liverpool, shared a picture of the St George's flag on his social media profile, which has more than 224 million followers.
Musk has since reposted a mention from news site Visegrád 24, which captioned his earlier flag post with the words "Operation Raise the Colours has reached America". The Tesla and SpaceX founder

Attorney General Pam Bondi is seeking to dismiss a $100 million lawsuit filed by the Proud Boys over the political persecution they suffered in the wake of the January 6th protests.
In a court submission on Monday, the Department of Justice (DOJ) asked for the lawsuit to be dismissed, stating that “the malicious prosecution claim lacks merit; and the United States is not liable for punitive damages.”
The filing undercuts the argument long supported by the Trump administration that those who were imprisoned following the January 6th attacks were the victims of political persecution.
The suit was filed in June by Enrique Tarrio, the former Proud Boys leader,

A couple of weeks ago, I had a creeping worry that I couldn’t quite place. I don’t typically have anxiety, but something was really bothering me.
I tried to pinpoint it. I ruled out anything to do with health, family, or work. (Snip) Finally, I realized what I was concerned about — Percy. Oh, he’s fine. He’s "fit as a butcher’s dog," as my husband Peter says. (Snip) Which is one of the best things about National Dog Day — a reminder of how special these pets are to us and how we must live in the present with them. They’re not worried about tomorrow.

On the afternoon of Tuesday, August 26, history paused.
All commentary focused on an engagement. All eyes looked to a garden and a football player, who took a different kind of knee.
The Taylor Swift–Travis Kelce duo is a bit of a throwback in our odd times (when even Zoom meetings sometimes ask for pronouns). The New York Times wedding section isn’t just for brides and grooms anymore.
More importantly: We live at a time when people are afraid of marriage. When Pope Francis supposedly upended the concept of marriage in the Catholic Church — and decided what to do with divorced and remarried Catholics

President Donald Trump announced that current Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has uncovered bags of hidden documents related to corruption in the 2020 election. Trump, speaking in front of his administration as they continue a historic federal crime crackdown in Washington, D.C., and push for peace negotiations in the Russia-Ukraine war, directly addressed the bombshell findings. According to a statement by President Trump, these files contain “massive” evidence of wrongdoing and will soon be made public.

President Donald Trump wants to stop the killing in Ukraine, but Russia’s foot-dragging is making it abundantly clear that he’ll need to apply far more pressure before any serious negotiations can begin.
To do so, Trump will have to squeeze Russia’s primary source of income, its oil revenues — without upending the global energy market in the process.
In an interview that aired Sunday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov rejected US-backed security guarantees for Ukraine and balked at Trump’s push for direct talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Many paid tribute on Tuesday to the 13 American service members who were killed four years earlier in the terrorist attack at Abbey Gate — and President Donald Trump led the charge. The attack was carried out by ISIS-K terrorists on August 26, 2021, and targeted the chaos and crowds at Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul, Afghanistan — chaos that might have been avoided altogether if President Joe Biden had not so badly botched the plan to end the war and evacuate American service members, civilians, and allies.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries was ridiculed Tuesday for noting Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook’s race while blasting President Trump for trying to fire her over mortgage fraud claims — with critics arguing, “Who gives a flying fruitcake what color she is?”
Jeffries, a Democrat from New York, specifically pointed to Cook as being the “first black woman” ever to serve on the Fed’s governing body when accusing Trump of trying to oust her “without a shred of credible evidence that she has done anything wrong.

U.S. District Judge Thomas Cullen, who was nominated by President Donald Trump, also criticized the administration’s attacks on the judiciary, highlighting in a footnote that White House officials in recent months had described judges as “rogue,” “unhinged” and “crooked,” among other epithets.

John Bolton (an occasional contributor to The Hill) may well wind up in prison, too, if investigators uncover evidence and prosecutors decide to bring charges over his alleged classified disclosures. When Bolton wrote his book, “The Room Where It Happened” — reportedly receiving a $2 million advance — he wasn’t just dishing gossip. He was sharing information about Oval Office conversations and national security that should have stayed secret — either by law or under executive privilege.

You probably remember Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Hannah Dugan, the genius who thought it would be a good idea to hide an illegal alien in her courthouse and help him escape through a side door when ICE agents came to nab him. Unfortunately for her, she was caught on tape, and a federal grand jury indicted her in May on two charges, which could cost her up to six years in prison and a maximum fine of $350,000. She was also temporarily removed from the bench by the Wisconsin Supreme Court until the case is resolved.
Her defense messaging has been ludicrous,

Starting to lift the lid off a far, far larger scam, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick just nixed $7 billion in “advance payments” that Biden administration staffers aimed to divert to a “nonprofit” controlled by other Democratic insiders.
The bigger scam being, of course, how the left (and lots of plain-old Dem machines) feeds off government-funded “charities.”
It’s a huge part of the “swamp,” though of course its denizens pretend their motives don’t reek. In this case, the Bidenites were in too much of a hurry to make the theft fully legal: After President Donald Trump’s victory last November,

WASHINGTON - Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook will file a lawsuit to prevent President Donald Trump from firing her, a lawyer for the embattled central bank official said on Tuesday, kicking off what could be a protracted legal fight over the White House's effort to shape U.S. monetary policy. “His attempt to fire her, based solely on a referral letter, lacks any factual or legal basis. We will be filing a lawsuit challenging this illegal action," Cook's lawyer, prominent Washington attorney Abbe Lowell, said in a statement.

There are two things you can be sure of when it comes to Gavin Newsom. One is that he craves power. Two, he hates his fellow Californians.
OK, the second one might be a stretch. But considering what he’s done to the people of his home state, that’s a fairly reasonable conclusion to draw.
Newsom has been making headlines these days by “getting tough” with President Donald Trump in ways childish (X with posts written in all caps) and politically poisonous (promising to redraw district boundaries to kill off four or five of the state’s nine Republican seats).
With that latter move, Newsom once again shows his disdain for Californians,

On August 12, 2025, an illegal alien, Harjinder Singh, who obtained a Commercial Driver’s License from the State of California, killed three people by blocking the highway while making an illegal U turn in Florida. During an interview with investigators from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration on August 14, 2025, Singh demonstrated a lack of understanding of the English Language and was only able to correctly answer 2 of 12 verbal questions and accurately identify 1 of 4 highway signs. How did Harjinder Singh get in the USA? How did he get a Commercial Driver’s License? Are there more truckers like him? The answers will shock you.

To paraphrase Winston the Wolf from Pulp Fiction, let's not start shaking each other's hands quite yet. American presidents since Harry Truman have tried to establish Middle East peace as their legacy. We could stretch that back another half-century if we include British and French leaders, for that matter. That even includes Donald Trump, who maybe came closer with the Abraham Accords than anyone since Bill Clinton.
By the time Trump returned to office, Israel was in the middle of fighting a war started by Hamas and joined by Hezbollah and Iran. However, Trump has built enough momentum settling a half-dozen other conflicts

Bill Clinton employed a triangulation strategy to co-opt Republican voters. Donald Trump has spent the first seven months of his presidency employing a cornering strategy. Trump has used his bully pulpit -- perhaps in the most literal sense since the Roosevelts -- to force Democrats to corner themselves onto the fringe positions on issues that matter most to American voters.
This month, Trump has used executive action on crime to force Democrats to side with criminals. He's about to force them to double down with his latest move to end cashless bail in Washington DC, and his efforts to use federal funding to leverage the same change across the country:

And it's really chapping the knickers off of the pissy, prissy 'minders' who keep an eye on everyone and tell them how to behave.
As the fellow in the video asks, 'Is there something I've not been told? Has the Third Reich suddenly surfaced in the bowels of the town hall?' as the pedantic city council member corrects his usage that it's a Union flag, not a 'jack.'

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed regret Monday over an airstrike at Nasser Hospital in the southern Gaza town of Khan Younis that killed 20 people, including rescuers and several journalists.
Early reports suggested that the hospital was hit twice — a second time as rescue personnel arrived. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) acknowledged the event and expressed regret, and said an inquiry had been launched.
Netanyahu said in a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office:
Israel deeply regrets the tragic mishap that occurred today at the Nasser Hospital in Gaza.
Israel values the work of journalists, medical staff, and all civilians. The military authorities are conducting a thorough investigation.
