Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky showed up to the White House Monday looking very different than the last time he visited, and President Donald Trump's elated reaction was hard to miss.
Trump welcomed Zelensky and European leaders for peace talks, and the Ukrainian leader stepped out looking terrific, wearing an all black suit. The president clearly noticed, as he immediately reacted to the suit and pointed out how great Zelensky appeared. "I can't believe it. I love it," Trump said, pointing to the leader's dapper attire. "Look at you."

Newsmax will pay $67 million to settle a libel lawsuit over its false claims that Dominion Voting Systems had changed votes in the 2020 presidential election.
As part of the settlement, Newsmax will pay Dominion $27 million this month and another $40 million over the next two years, according to an SEC filing by Newsmax.
The settlement was reached on August 15.
“We are pleased to have settled this matter,” Newsmax said in a statement, though it stood by its coverage as “fair, balanced and conducted within professional standards of journalism.”

The bloodshed continues at the far-left Washington Post with the news Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist Robin Givhan has accepted a buyout.
The Trump-era schlonging of the regime media shows no signs of slowing down.
“So, recently The Post offered buyouts to anyone who’d been there for 10 years or longer. It was the first time I’d been eligible for such a thing. So, I considered it. (It was a fair amount of $$),” Givhan announced on her verified Instagram account. “I agonized about it. I fretted. I procrastinated until the last possible moment. I considered my needs, my desires, my beliefs.

MSNBC, an elitist, far-left propaganda outlet devoted to spreading bigotry and misinformation, has officially split with NBC News and will now call itself MS NOW.
“MS Now?” More like “MS LMAO,” amirite?
“MS NOW” officially stands for “My Source for News, Opinion, and the World.”
“MS NOW” might as well stand for “My Sweaty Nards Occupy Wisconsin,” because this is a death blow.
“This new branding underscores our mission: to serve as a destination for breaking news and best-in-class opinion journalism, all rooted in accurate and reported facts,” chirped MSNBC president Rebecca Kutler in an internal memo.

President Donald Trump meets with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House on Monday, August 18.
The meeting comes following Trump’s summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska last Friday.
Trump famously ejected Zelensky from the White House earlier this year after a contentious meeting in which the Ukrainian president criticized the United States for pushing for peace. Trump warned Zelensky he was “gambling with World War 3” by advocating for an expansion of his country’s defensive war with Russia.
The president will also meet with other European leaders alongside Zelensky later Monday.

The Democrats have been losing their minds about President Donald Trump's takeover of law enforcement in Washington, D.C. You even had people like Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) trying to downplay crime in the city, Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) claiming it wasn't an emergency, and Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) trying to argue that Trump "owned" a murder the day after the president formally announced he was taking action. People talk about Trump setting a trap for them to fall into to defend crime, but it's truly that they are this dumb that they do this.
But most people aren't buying

A fun little story popped over the weekend involving a Democrat named Abu Musa, who serves on the city council of Hamtramck, Michigan, and it's getting international coverage. You can just file this one under "Dems doing Dem things."
In the video, it appears that Musa and an acquaintance stuff handfuls of paper ballots into a drop-off box just a few days before a primary election Musa, an incumbent, won handily. Musa is seated in the front passenger seat of the car and can be seen passing large stacks of ballots to the driver, who dutifully stuffs them into the drop box. Under the cover of night, of course.

President Donald Trump has been warning for years that mail-in ballots and voting machines are riddled with vulnerabilities that invite fraud and undermine trust in elections. We’ve discussed these vulnerabilities here at PJ Media extensively, and now Trump is taking action on them. On Monday morning, President Trump announced on Truth Social that he will issue an executive order to put an end to mail-in ballots before the 2026 midterms and restore “honesty and integrity” to America’s elections.
In a lengthy post on Truth Social, Trump announced, “I am going to lead a movement

President Trump has had a very productive second term, but according to Victor Davis Hanson, Trump’s biggest accomplishment isn’t legislation; it’s that he shattered the Democratic Party’s façade—and left it flailing.
“Donald Trump’s greatest legacy, he broke the Democratic Party and he turned it. ... He exposed it for what it was,” Hanson explained in an interview. “It was a bicoastal elite party with a bunch of billionaires who spend lavishly, and a bunch of subsidized poor, and a professional class that feels frustrated.”
Hanson described the party’s urban base as young, well-paid professionals struggling in sky-high-cost blue cities. “That’s what the Mamdani constituency is. Frustrated, young prof—white professionals,” he said. Meanwhile

All eyes will be on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s scheduled visit to the White House on Monday following Trump’s Alaska summit with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
But Zelensky won’t be lonely—a host of European leaders are now coming to tag along. Here’s who has been announced so far:
Germany Chancellor Friedrich Merz: Merz’s office said he will discuss the status of the peace efforts in Ukraine with the other attendees, and highlight Germany’s interest in a rapid peace agreement.
French President Emmanuel Macron: The Elysee Palace said Macron will “continue the work of coordination between Europeans and the United States with the aim

On Friday night's Real Time, HBO host Bill Maher called out Democrats like former Vice President Kamala Harris and Bill and Hillary Clinton for refusing to appear on his show despite the fact that he voted for them. Just before the scolding he was making fun of how Donald Trump had an employee nicknamed "Big Balls," and said it's like Gov. Gavin Newsom had an aide named "Perfect Hair." Then he added: "Hey, at least Gavin comes here. People ask me all the time: Why haven't you ever had Hillary or Bill Clinton on? Why didn't you have Kamala on during the last campaign? You think we don't ask?

WASHINGTON — President Trump has committed in principle to providing “security guarantees” to Ukraine to safeguard its frontier from Russia following a possible peace deal, The Post has confirmed.
The precise contours of those security guarantees, which were discussed by Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Anchorage on Friday, remain unclear, however. Trump has not committed to sending US troops and previously ruled out NATO membership for Ukraine.
The security may amount to a European-led initiative with America’s support, a source familiar with the talks said.
