Bryan Kohberger has been in Idaho’s maximum security prison for nearly two weeks, and one detective says he’s already losing it.
Placed in “J Block” for his own protection, “Banfield” has learned Kohberger’s fellow hardcore offenders are going out of their way, as far as they can, to make the notorious newcomer miserable.
His fellow inmates have been taking turns shouting through the air ducts, all day and all night, to keep Kohberger from sleeping at night or even hearing himself think during the day. “The good news is the inmates apparently were waiting for him,” said Chris McDonough, director of the “Cold Case Foundation” and a retired homicide detective.

This could have easily been avoided by executing this guy to begin with.

I really think a criminals punishment should be WHAT THEY DID to the victims. You stab people to death. Same to you.

Being told, over and over, that someone is gonna stick a pencil under your ribs and break it off is disconcerting. Well, when you're the star, you must deal with the publicity. Kohberger is infamous. The death penalty might have been better than what this psycho killer has coming. Qu'est-ce que c'est?

Jail/prison is a brutal place. Even when they are not actively trying to kill or maim you, the threats are ever present and it could be only seconds away. The guards are as apathetic or sadistic as everyone else there. You'll get no help from them.
Enjoy the rest of your life.

Just watched a documentary about these killings. The plea bargain allowed life in prison in exchange for a guilty plea and no death penalty. In addition, Kohberger does not have to disclose his motive or exactly what happened during the killings. So, other than his DNA left on his knife sheath, it’s all speculation as to how and why. What a terrible blow to the parents of these children, after the horror they have already endured.

For the prisoners this is entertainment, and the more he cries the greater the entertainment.
Those torturing him are as bad as he is----maybe worse.

One hundred percent positive that the guards are not terribly concerned about the safety of this human monster. Very soon somehow Kohberger will be found lifeless. Prisons have their own form of rough justice believe it or not. The prosecutor in this case should be Kohberger’s cellmate.

Kohlererg is in a class by himself. Sure these other inmates are bad folk but they find solace that Kohlberg is even more evil. I feel mo remorse for his torment

He murdered four and stabbed one girl 50 times. I don't think anyone feels sorry for Kohberger. He'll get the Jeffrey Dahmer treatment some day.

I was livid and furious to learn this cruel, heartless, cowardly monster had escaped the death penalty he so richly deserves. His brutality in wiping four innocent people off the face of the earth is unforgivable. Hope he will continue to be ‘bothered’ by whatever fear and dread he is experiencing in prison. Could not happen to a more ‘deserving’ piece of scum!

Victim's family members should not be ashamed in finding solace that Kohberger's life in prison will be a continuance of his "Criminal Justice Studies".
Death penalty would have been an "easy out" compared to the path he travels now. His victims suffered, you suffer, while _he_ will now reside in Hell of his own making... until some inmate "Jeffrey Dahmer's" him.

As the narrator says in the video, it's the only kind of dark you find in a prison. The harassment comes in shifts. The inmates finally found someone who is worse than they are. And they love it. Lemme see ... a Boston actuary might declare that, considering where he is, Kohberger's future should be a brief candle waiting to be blown out.

I'm glad they gave him the deal.
On death row he would have been eligible to file appeal after appeal until he finally, 15 years later,he got on his knees, licked the floor and gotten a reprieve from some dem governor. Then he'd be a part of the general population, who by then would admire him. He would have been in contact with lawyers weekly, received fan mail, could look forward to field trips to court, given interviews to spin his story and enjoyed sympathy provided by the public to the condemned. They may have even provided him with a cat, for emotional support. He'd have paper to write on and publishers clamoring to publish his nonsense. Above all, he would have hope.
Now, he's in a box inside a box, inside a box, and he'll never get out. Ever. No appeals. No trips into town. Limited contact with people. No hope. He will probably go insane, and it won't matter.

I certainly hope he doesn't roast in hell. I pray he accepts Jesus as His Savior and Lord.
God has proven time and time again that he can use anyone--even murderers, or maybe ESPECIALLY murderers (like Moses, David, and Paul).

Re #21. I think he is already insane. You can look at his eyes and see a monster looking out. A pure psychopathic killer. Maybe prison for life will be worse, but other thoughts are that he should be put down like the rabid animal that he is.
The mystery is that why he is that way? What creates a creature like this? Born like that, like some kid who tortures pet animals? Something else? Some sort of test and treatment invented before he kills? They walk among us. It's why I keep a gun in my car and in my bedside table.

The death penalty would have been the better option ~ he should have taken it. Many people on death row die of old age before any execution date is handed down and he would have had the ability to appeal later.
Now he's made his bed; if he hasn't already, he'll soon come to the conclusion that his days are numbered. Each morning he'll wake up wondering if he'll be alive at the end of the day. That is psychological torture of the worst kind and IMO worse than death. Sorry.....not sorry. He's receiving a little taste of what his victims endured.

He's a bad guy, and I wish he was dead. But these are our prisons, and allowing prisoners to behave in this way reconfirms their disconnect from any kind of social expectations. Prisons need to be well regulated because prisoners need to be properly regulated as well.
Honestly, I'd rather not put people in cages at all. I'd rather kill the ones who are dangerous, and impose severe penalties on those who aren't, starting with restitution for whatever acts they committed.
But it's not up to me.
