President Trump Signs Republican Megabill
Cementing Legislative Agenda

President Donald Trump signed the GOP’s “big, beautiful” tax and spending package at a White House ceremony on Friday, fulfilling his wish to enact the biggest domestic policy legislation of his term by July 4. Trump triumphantly signed the GOP megabill after months of hard-fought, interparty negotiations that, earlier this week, culminated in contentious House and Senate votes for the legislation. Passing the megabill is a major victory for House Speaker Mike Johnson (R., La.) and Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R., S.D.), who had to navigate deep political and ideological differences between different GOP factions within their chambers.

"How Old are You"? Me....I am sooo old, I can remember when such things were called a "Budget", I'm even sooo old that I can remember budgets that were not massive omnibus affairs containing lots of Legislation, and continuing resolutions, unrelated to a "Budget", rather they were 12-13 stand alone Budgets for each individual agency. Trump stated in his 1st term that he would "Never sign another massive omnibus/CR again"...hopefully he can make good on that this term.

Aaaaaand he's already calling for amnesty for farm and hotel workers. How soon will it be construction jobs and any other industry that buys enough Trump scam coins? Had to pass this monstrosity to be able deport illegals! 3 hours after the House passed it, BOOM! amnesty talk. Once a con-man always a con-man.

It will be interesting to see the ramifications of this bill over the next few months/years. I wonder if everyone will remember their derision if things go well. Let's just say President Trump has a knack for doing things which perplex many, but end up turning out very well. Time will tell.

There are a lot of things PDT can do for the rest of his term I would suggest focus on three 1. Get as many of the 12 million out ASAP. 2. Concentrate on increasing margins in ‘ 26 3. Get out on time to leave enough runway for Vance in ‘28. The rest is ‘stuff’ that can be handled by others.

887 pages must be filled with rainbows and unicorns. Have to pass the bill to find out what's in it. Massie's point is if we need to save the 2017 tax breaks then put forward a single bill. But no, the political, professional lying class want these huge bills so they can stuff all manner of crap through while the punters are focused on their shiny objects but miss all the dross. New boss, same as the old boss.

I have been listening to Democrats cry about Republicans giving tax cuts to “their billionaire buddies” for 50 years and it’s a load of crap. Billionaires hire more people and create more jobs than our entire political class combined.

The tragic news out of Texas continues to get worse as the death toll from a flash flood has risen to 51, including at least 15 children. Over two dozen girls from a summer camp in the area remain unaccounted for, with the search-and-rescue effort continuing in the night. Sadly, the chances of finding more people alive diminish by the hour, and the situation is likely to become even more heartbreaking over the next few days. Having younger children myself, I simply can't fathom what the impacted families are going through. My prayers are with them, and I can continue to hope

When the officer tried to approach the suspect, an unknown number of assailants started shooting and the officer was struck in the neck. This comes as multiple deaths were reported in Texas after heavy rain caused flash flooding. Over 10 inches (25 centimeters) of heavy rain fell in just a few hours overnight in central Kerr County, causing flash flooding of the Guadalupe River. The Kerr County sheriff's office confirmed fatalities but did not provide additional details. Kerr County Judge Rob Kelly said that an unknown number of children are missing from summer camps. Donald Trump has never been one to shy away from a fight, but this time, he’s done more than just rattle the Democrats—he’s practically handed Republicans the keys to a midterm landslide in 2026. The playbook was simple, the execution flawless, and the results devastating for the opposition. Here’s what happened. When Zohran Mamdani, the antisemitic socialist, won the Democratic primary for mayor of New York City, many Democrats were less than thrilled. Last month, the Associated Press reported that his victory “exposed anew the fiery divisions plaguing the Democratic Party as it struggles to repair its brand nearly half a year into Donald Trump’s presidency.” Many progressives cheered
