Democrats are desperate and will twist anything they can to hurt Trump. Anyone with two brain cells should be able to see what they are doing because no one can control the weather. Or always accurately predict what it is going to do either.

My husband and I have a young relative who was rescued from camp. Reading the hate filled leftist commentary is literally painful.

If you ever thought that peace or "unity" would be possible with these vermin, think again. Ammo up, and get ready Co-existence will not be possible, or even desirable.

Until (and unless) Republicans get in front of microphones to refute and PROVE the communists are lying, the Sheeple will continue to be duped. Granted, you can’t reach all of the sheeple. But you sure can go on public record, refuting their lies.

Here in Oklahoma, there is usually wind blowing, all the time. Most days it's mild but lots of times it can get up to 60-65 mph. The weather men here get it wrong a lot and I think it's because of that. Texas is right next door and they get lots of wind too. That can blow a storm system places they never expected, and often does. The tragedy is bad enough without disgraceful vermin (aka democrats) trying to blame President Trump. They are terrible people who destroy everything they touch.

There is a large segment of democrats who have never even seen a rural area, much less lived in one. They can't comprehend that nature can be stronger than any government. Most even seem to believe that peaceful Mexicans had first settled Texas after taking it from Spain, and that racists rednecks stole it from them. Neither Spain nor Mexico went beyond establishing a small handful of 'settlements,' guarded by Mexican troops but individual ranchers were on their own. Consequently, there was never - ever - a rush of migrants pouring out of Mexico, eager to start farms, ranches, and communities in Texas. Aside from very warlike Indian tribes, like the Karankawa, who would cook you in a pot or on a spit and eat you, the extreme vagaries of weather was a big part of not wanting to try to put down roots in Texas. Even many of the first American settlers, invited by the Mexican government to venture to Texas, were so shocked by the suddenness and violence of both the weather patterns and the terrain features that tend to exacerbate weather damage, that many turned around and went back east before even putting a plow to ground. The people from those areas of Central Texas most impacted by the floods largely come from families with rich histories of settling in Texas before and after it became a Republic and later as a state, including many Mexican immigrants, who did come from Mexico to stay, and had fought - as Texans. It's still a tough place to live in many respects but not because of taxing, zoning, or urban sprawl issues but the people who do, know the difference between government and nature.

The longer I live the more I'm convinced that liberalism is definitely a mental disease. Why else would they be so hateful?

Writing what I want to say will get me banned for life! let me say this, there are bridges over entirely dry culverts all over East and Central Texas. People who move there think Texans are crazy for building those structures, but they are necessary and are there for a reason... The topography of those areas create that need as it is prone to flash flooding which occurs regularly! The Left response to this tragedy is prototypical of the filthy scum who make up the Democrat Party! God Damn their evil souls to the Hell they so richly Deserve!

Agree with #2's comments. Just like the Democrats/liberals to want more and more government so we become more and more dependent on it. As a result, we are not able to function with everyday issues as our minds become numb and mush. . .

Weather can change on a dime. Here in PA, one township got several days worth of rain in 3 hours. Guess what happened? Flooding. Thankfully, there were no injuries/fatalities. To pile on the folks in central Texas right now, and try to lay blame, is beyond disgusting.

They had an equally sleazy response to the floods in North Carolina. Their "compassion" is reserved for illegals who will vote for them when they receive their free stuff.

There were 12 hour and 3 hour warnings. And this FTA: o be clear, the "cuts" being cited are not only minimal and target bloat, not effective services, but they do not go into effect until October. As for any prior staff cuts (NOAA was in the process of cutting 10 percent of its staff), there is likewise no evidence that those hampered the forecasting of this event.

Also reported here is the stalling of this weather system over the area which caused the 7 " of rain to fall in less than an hour.

Where was Biden, and his leftist progressive Democrat crew that really ran the so-called Biden White House for the last four years when it became to abating and stopping the sudden flash floods that occur from time to time down the Texas river valleys?
