Between Mamdani and Fetterman, flailing
Democrats seek a populist agenda that works

Zohran Mamdani is the latest sign establishment Democrats don’t know how to handle a populist challenge. They haven’t learned anything from the defeats right-wing populism inflicted on them with President Donald Trump. Now they’re knocked on their backsides by a new generation of left-wing populism in their own party. Making Mamdani mayor of New York is like electing Bernie Sanders president — maybe even worse. But in an era when populism keeps gaining momentum, Democratic insiders habitually turn to political has-beens to rescue the party.

Why be surprised that Mamdami is getting elected. They are going from bad to worse to worser with their Biden, Harris now Mandami candidates? Can they get any lower?

If the democrats have one thing, it's political has-beens and some of them go way back. Once they get indoctrinated they can't seem to move on in life. Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Clinton, Maxine Waters, Old Bern and many others who would be there except they have assumed room temperature or their brains have rotted out.

Populism isn't a political ideology, and is not easily definable on the left-right continuum of political identification, as is conservatism or liberalism. Populism is the tie that binds the Uniparty.

A man suspected of gathering information on Jewish locations and individuals in Berlin for Iranian intelligence, possibly with a view to attacks, has been arrested in Denmark, German prosecutors said Tuesday. The Danish national, identified only as Ali S. in line with German privacy rules, was arrested on Thursday in the Danish city of Aarhus, federal prosecutors said in a statement. The man was tasked by an Iranian intelligence service early this year with gathering information on “Jewish localities and specific Jewish individuals” in Berlin, prosecutors said. They didn’t elaborate. He spied on three properties in June, “presumably in preparation of further intelligence activities in Germany,

Jewish students at Harvard were spat on for wearing yarmulkes, stalked and subjected to chants of “Heil Hitler” — and the Ivy League university was either “deliberately indifferent” or even a “willful participant” in the antisemitic abuse, according to a shocking report released by the Trump administration on Monday. More than a quarter of the students reported feeling physically unsafe, and nearly 60% said they experienced “discrimination, stereotyping, or negative bias on campus” in the wake of the Oct. 7, 2023 terror attack on Israel, according to meetings with more than 500 Jewish students conducted by the Department of Health and Human Services.

It was a surprising statement from Attorney General Pam Bondi as the Trump administration promises to release more files from its sex trafficking investigation of Jeffrey Epstein: The FBI, she said, was reviewing “tens of thousands of videos” of the wealthy financier “with children or child porn.” The comment, made to reporters at the White House days after a similar remark to a stranger with a hidden camera, raised the stakes for President Donald Trump’s administration to prove it has in its possession previously unseen compelling evidence.

Democrats are uneasy about Socialist candidate Zohran Mamdani’s recent victory in the Democratic primary for New York City mayor, and nowhere was that discomfort more obvious than in House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries’ evasive response when an anchor pressed him about Mamdani’s ideology. On MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Joe Scarborough put Jeffries on the spot, asking him if Mamdani’s far-left views on economic issues and Israel were the kind of ideology Democrats should embrace in 2026. Instead of addressing the question, Jeffries pivoted hard, steering the conversation away from Mamdani entirely, and onto — you guessed it — Donald Trump.

They did it. They finally did it. Those maniacs. They blew it up. As New Yorkers walk dazed through the streets of the world's greatest city, seeking perhaps the half-buried Statue of Liberty lying beneath the silent sands of adeserted beach in the Forbidden Zone, one thing has become clear: The young revolutionaries of the Democratic Party are ready to take control of their party's future. And there's hardly anyone left to stop them. On Tuesday, Zohran Mamdani, a 33-year-old Ugandan-born trust fund baby -- the scion of a Columbia University post-colonialism professor and an Oscar-nominated Hollywood director --

This week, Senator Ted Cruz chaired one of the most important hearings in the U.S. Senate has hosted in years: “Enter the Dragon—China and the Left’s Lawfare Against American Energy Dominance.” At a time when American energy producers are being targeted by a coordinated assault of litigation and foreign influence, this hearing was a long-overdue spotlight on the shadowy forces behind the war on domestic energy. Cruz, who chairs the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Federal Courts, Oversight, Agency Action, and Federal Rights, is uniquely positioned to probe the abuses at the intersection of law, politics, and global competition.

China is slowly steering the U.S. toward energy slavery. A Senate subcommittee led by Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, probed China’s methodical efforts to steer America toward total energy subservience to Beijing during a Wednesday afternoon hearing. The hearing revealed that Chinese-aligned entities have coopted climate lobbying and research in the U.S. Worse yet, this campaign of sabotage is abetted by a low profile effort to influence American judges, greasing the way for junk climate change lawsuits that will bankrupt American energy providers.

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei claimed victory over Israel and said his country had “delivered a hand slap to America’s face” on Thursday, in his first public comments since a ceasefire was declared in the war between the two countries. Khamenei spoke in a video broadcast on Iranian state television, his first appearance since June 19. He told viewers that the U.S. had only intervened in the war because “it felt that if it did not intervene, the Zionist regime would be utterly destroyed.” But he said, however, that the U.S. “achieved no gains from this war.

In his campaign for re-election, Mayor Eric Adams says he’s running on his record … against a guy who has no record. He’s referring, of course, to Zohran Mamdani, the 33-year-old socialist nepo baby who won this week’s Democratic primary. The State Assemblyman has barely held a job and has been absent for about 50% of Assembly votes. But it can’t be denied that Adams must defend his record. In September 2024, he earned the dubious distinction of becoming the first sitting New York City mayor hit with a federal indictment — accused of bribery and conspiracy. The case was dropped in April on orders from President Trump’s Department of Justice.

The word “badass” was bandied about a lot after the first assassination attempt on Donald Trump last year. Famously, the bloodied Republican candidate raised his fist in defiance. In a different context, the same pungent word applies to his 2 a.m. strike on Iranian nuclear facilities. Trump the TV star has a knack for the theatrical and grand gesture. That obviously matters in domestic politics, but in international affairs, too, where projecting strength and command are just as important. We don’t know where the war heads from here, and need to learn more about the damage that was inflicted. Still, it was an operation with a distinct and very useful element of Trump badassery.

Trump said Thursday he would make a decision in the “next two weeks” to allow more time for negotiations, giving the sense of reprieve amid fevered speculation he might join Israel’s airstrikes. “Based on the fact that there’s a substantial chance of negotiations that may or may not take place with Iran in the near future, I will make my decision whether or not to go within the next two weeks,”

The U.S. Department of Education announced the agreement Tuesday, saying the university violated Title IX by allowing Thomas to compete in women's events. The case marks a significant moment in the Trump administration's broader push to restrict transgender athletes from competing in girls' and women's sports. Pity poor Jaguar. The British-based luxury and performance carmaker has had a rough go of it this century, but nothing could prepare anyone for the most bone-headed move in corporate history — and I don't mean Jaguar's woke "Reimagine" ad from late last year. Let me bring you up to speed. As recently as 2018, Jaguar sold 180,833 cars annually. Last year, they sold fewer than 33,000. In April — the most current sales figures available — Jag sold just 49 cars in the massive UK/Europe market. U.S. sales figures aren't available yet, but they aren't any better. Jaguar went from selling 1,961 cars a month to 49 in just six years.

New Yorkers faced the choice of a miscreant former governor and a radical Democrat socialist for the position of mayor in the Democrat primary. Prior to Zohran Mamdani’s election in the primary, his absurd and speculative plans to provide all kinds of freebies to the citizenry were the talk of the town: Mamdani’s platform focused on a number of issues that have animated socialists in the Democratic Party, including raising the minimum wage, hiking taxes on corporations and wealthy Americans, cracking down on delivery apps, as well as investing in affordable housing and creating city-owned grocery stores. His campaign proposes a new minimum wage law that would raise the wage floor for

The Democrats are now implacably self-destructive. They resemble nothing so much as a slowly capsizing ship, but show by their frenzied skullduggery that America is not in decline -- the opposition is rotten and hopeless but it still fights savagely. I hope readers will pardon a recitation of the party's gradual floundering. They pushed the nation into Vietnam, mismanaged the war, and deserted their own president (Lyndon Johnson), and when President Nixon saved their war, they crucified him on what can now be seen as the utterly absurd Watergate nonsense.

In practice, under the influence of mercurial Musk, it could create more problems than it solves, for, while Trump is a stable genius, Musk is an unstable one. Andrew Cuomo on his way to a victory that is still sending shockwaves through the Democratic Party establishment and beyond. Now, the debate rages over who Mamdani really is. Is he antisemitic or just pro-Palestinian? Is he anti-ICE or just pro-immigrant? However, one thing seems to be increasingly clear. Mamdani is a serious Marxist and that should concern anyone in New York City.
