President Trump has been quite clear for as long as he’s been in politics that under his watch, Iran would never be allowed to get a nuclear weapon. In the early months of his first term, he said that he hoped to be able to find a diplomatic solution to the Iranian nuclear threat but, if not, he was prepared to take military action. On Saturday night, he followed through. After a week of Israeli attacks that took out Iran’s air defense systems, crippled its military command, and dealt damage to its nuclear program, Trump delivered what was intended to be the death blow.

President Trump stated, “ANY RETALIATION BY IRAN AGAINST THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA WILL BE MET WITH FORCE FAR GREATER THAN WHAT WAS WITNESSED TONIGHT. THANK YOU! DONALD J. TRUMP, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES”
Earlier this evening, he announced that three nuclear sites in Iran—Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan—had been bombed.
The US used six B-2 bombers to drop a dozen “bunker buster” bombs on the Fordow nuclear site in Iran, a US official told CNN.
Navy submarines fired 30 TLAM cruise missiles at two other sites, Natanz and Isfahan, and a B2 dropped two bunker busters on Natanz, the official said.
The specifics of the strikes were earlier reported by The New York Times.

The U.S. has taken out the three nuclear facilities at Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan in Iran.
The initial reports are that Fordow was taken out by six bunker-buster bombs by three B-2 stealth bombers, carrying two bombs each. Then, 30 Tomahawk missiles were fired from U.S. submarines to hit Natanz and Isfahan.
It sounds from the reports like they didn't just get them — they got them and then some. But, according to Fox, we'll find out more on Sunday with more of a damage assessment to ensure they did all the damage they needed to do.
