Elon Musk Calls Trump’s ‘Big, Beautiful’

Elon Musk, the former head of the Department of Government Efficiency, on Tuesday dismissed President Trump’s “big, beautiful” spending bill as a “disgusting abomination.” “This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination,” he said in a post on X. “Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong. You know it,” he added. Musk’s comments on Tuesday represent an even harsher reaction to the bill than his previous criticisms. He had previously said he was “disappointed”

But Trump continues to praise it. Bongino, Homan, Patel, and Bondi have done absolutely nothing. But Trump continues to praise them. And he continues to allow Iran to stall while they work feverishly on nuclear weapons. All this will undermine his support at a time when the opposition is not only evil, but demonic.

Why are any of you guys going after the NR? They are just reporting what he said. Musk stuck his neck out for Trump (when the Dems have any sort of power again you KNOW they're going after him, unlike the feckless GOP) just to get used like one his wives. So far the guy that came in on the sole promise of cleaning out the "Swamp" hasn't made one single arrest (J6 guy got a promotion). New MRNA "vaccine" just got Gov approval. Wants the largest increase in spying on everyone EVER. Wants ever more debt. Biden debt bad. Trump debt (same levels) good! When do you guys stop thinking "your" team actually cares about you? They'll drive the country into bankruptcy and you'll all be pointing at the "other" team and "Trusting the Plan" as you're eating dirt.

Musk is speaking about the DC swamp that got us $37 Trillion in debt. Musk has and is doing great things for America. The media wants to drive a wedge between Musk, Trump, and MAGA. It is not going to ever happen, as Trump and MAGA are grateful for all he has done.

Musk is a brilliant guy, but he doesn't see that politics is the art of the possible. I didn't grasp this when I first got personally involved in state politics in the 1990s. I met a guy, who has been a close friend and whose children are my godchildren. He was the county Republican chairman at the time. We discussed politics a lot, and I was appalled that he regularly had lunch with several Dems in the Kansas House. I asked how he could stand it. He pointed out that you can't convince someone if you don't know them and interact with them. He tried to get them to move a bit in their views. He taught me "politics is the art of the possible". Screaming at the sky because what you want isn't currently possible isn't useful. If you can get a bill that is 60 to 80% or what you want, you have moved the ball down the field in your direction a bit. Next year, perhaps more will be possible. Musk is a newbie to politics, as I was, and needs a good mentor to sit him down and explain how it REALLY works.

When talking critically about Republican spending, be sure to include Trump in that. The House lacked the votes to pass the bbb until Trump twisted a few conservative House member arms and he is without question, the most influential leader of the GOP.

I was and am under no illusion that it was going to be difficult to get MOST Politicians to spend less $$$. It's going to take a bit. What I find interesting is that the Donald and Elon are playing good cop bad cop with DJT being the good cop. I believe the President wants less spending but has to take what he can get right now. Elon's not there any more and he can scream bloody murder and the results will show up. Here's one example ... how's John Cornyn feeling today? He's going to be replaced next term. And many other RINOs will be too. Do you think, that if Elon keeps making noise that he will have outed many more by the time he comes on for his next 90 day temporary hire job in January. Does Trump understand how to set up a long term strategy and does he win most battles. We'll have to wait and see.

Elon was asked to do a difficult job that would get him a lot of flack from both parties. After 130 days, he had a long list of accomplishments and set up a structure to keep the investigations into waste and fraud ongoing. When he asked Congress when they were going to pass laws to implement all of his work, he got the deer in the headlight look. I don't blame him for his remarks about Congress.

Elon Musk’s tirade against President Donald Trump’s "big, beautiful bill" has forced House Republicans to scramble to respond on Wednesday. GOP lawmakers who had spent months praising Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) efforts are now working to avoid a war of words with the tech billionaire as he calls on them to scrap months of work in favor of a new budget reconciliation bill. "He didn’t make it any easier for the bill," Rep. Scott Fitzgerald, R-Wis., told Fox News Digital. He noted that the bill also had its opponents in the Senate, where at least three fiscal hawks are calling for deeper cuts

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump on Wednesday resurrected a hallmark policy of his first term, announcing that citizens of 12 countries would be banned from visiting the United States and those from seven others would face restrictions. The ban takes effect Monday at 12:01 a.m., a cushion that avoids the chaos that unfolded at airports nationwide when a similar measure took effect with virtually no notice in 2017. Trump, who signaled plans for a new ban upon taking office in January, appears to be on firmer ground this time after the Supreme Court sided with him.

President Donald Trump signed a proclamation to suspend international visas for new students at Harvard University, the White House announced Wednesday, in a dramatic escalation of its efforts to block foreigners from enrolling at the elite university. The proclamation blocks the entry of nearly all new Harvard student as nonimmigrants into the United States under visas most international students use to study at universities or participate in academic exchange programs in the country. It also directs the Secretary of State “to consider revoking” those visas – known as F, M and J visas – for current Harvard students who meet the proclamation’s “criteria,” the White House said in a statement on Wednesday.

Office of Civil Rights (OCR) officials have notified the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, the body that sets Columbia’s accreditation standards, that the university is “in violation of federal antidiscrimination laws and therefore fails to meet standards.” Administrators’ unwillingness to address months of anti-Israel activism on Columbia’s campus created an unsafe environment for Jewish students, the department added, putting the university in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

The Republican megabill to codify President Donald Trump’s domestic policy agenda would add $2.4 trillion to the national debt over the next decade, according to an analysis from the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office. The CBO estimates the “Big, Beautiful Bill” would lower tax revenues by $3.7 trillion and cut spending $1.3 trillion, creating $2.4 trillion in new debt. The non-partisan analysis factors in last minute changes to the House Republican version of the bill, including stricter Medicaid work requirements and a higher State and Local Tax Deduction (SALT), a top demand for New York lawmakers.

President Trump’s return to the White House is already paying off for public safety. Big time. According to new crime data, the U.S. murder rate has dropped more than 20% so far this year, a dramatic reversal from the lawless chaos that flourished under Biden’s soft-on-crime regime. “Since President Trump took office, murder rates have plummeted across the entire United States,” press secretary Karoline Leavitt told The Daily Signal. “American families were promised their communities would be safer, and President Trump swiftly delivered by vocally being tough on crime, unequivocally backing law enforcement, and standing firm on violent criminals being held to the fullest extent of the law.”

However, it had nothing to do with immigration enforcement, as Mayor Jacob Frey later stated.

With immigration laws once again being enforced, ICE agents have become prime targets of the left—harassed, doxed, and threatened simply for upholding the law. At a recent press conference, Acting ICE Director Todd Lyons laid bare the growing danger his agents face—not from violent criminals, but from radical activists hell-bent on exposing and intimidating them into silence. The tense exchange began when reporters questioned why some agents had been wearing masks during recent operations. Lyons didn’t mince words. “A lot of agencies were invited to come out two weeks ago in Los Angeles, where we ran an operation where ICE officers were doxed,”

They film themselves weeping, wailing, and gnashing their teeth. Just as you can be reasonably certain that anybody who flies an American flag is a Republican, you can be equally confident that everybody who wears a mask in 2025 (or back in 2024, 2023, or 2022) is a strong Democrat. Democrats scream about "feeling unsafe" when people disagree with them. They get deeply upset, even frantic, when their core beliefs are even mildly challenged.
