Financial services company Citi is walking back its political de-banking policy and its requirement for retail clients to restrict gun sales, making it the latest large corporation to distance itself from progressive corporate governance.
Citi announced the changes Tuesday after examining its corporate policies in light of shifts to the regulatory climate and President Trump’s executive orders.
“We will update our employee Code of Conduct and our customer-facing Global Financial Access Policy to clearly state that we do not discriminate on the basis of political affiliation

I welcome the reversal but the leopard doesn't change it's strops. With Dems back in control it will be back. They don't want any bank examinations.

Boycott Citi. Boycott Bank of America. As posters recall, BOA shared customer data with feds relative to the Jan. 6 investigation. BOA account holders who were in WDC region on or around Jan. 6. were violated by BOA. Bank of America flagged any of these accounts that were ever used to purchase a firearm.

These sleazy Biatches cannot be trusted to ever do the right thing, to protect America, be fair in it's administration of our money. The very minute a treasonous Democrat gains power, Citi will join the Cabal to destabilize and destroy America.

I am very happy with my local credit union. 43 years ago, I came back to my home town with 30 dollars to my name after my ex husband had taken everything from me. I got a job, opened an account there and the credit union had faith in me, gave me a small loan which I paid back and we went on from there. They never once asked me about politics, guns or anything else like that.

Now punish them for what they did! Shareholders, demand the Board of CITI fire the CEO.

Your confusing headline of the day. It wasn't the DMUK this time but the NR.

Regardless, Citi has shown us their red underbelly and should be shunned by all Americans. Thirty percent interest for credit and gun control are not acceptable practices.

To debank someone for an act that is perfectly within their Constitutional rights is criminal. Merely discontinuing the activity is not enough. They must be made to pay.

Citi needs to be dragged into a conservative jurisdiction and sued into oblivion over this.

Close your accounts and shred your cards! Citibank leadership is woke anti-American. Never trust them again.

The writer comments that these discriminatory practices mainly impacted ‘right wing extremists’. In NR’s world that means Trump supporters. And that’s exactly who the target was.

Looks like these Citi folk are making a shift because suddenly Americans have a new game in town...it's called bitcoin....I can put money to work for me...by buying into bitcoin and have NO restrictions from Citi telling me I cannot conceal carry...or even own a gun....nice try china...you tried to stop gun purchases...so there will be less patriots ready to fight you when you try and take over our country...physically....it's never happening.....

They are a business, and as such they should do those things that are financially advantageous. They did not. They did what was politically advantageous, and they'll do it again. I hope they got a lot of money for their souls.

Citi has an awful reputation in its past, including 3 bankruptcies, seemingly periodic, and now its DIE policies. I have not forgotten, and would not trust their governance for any reason.
