The French scientist who created the abortion pill has died at the age of 98. Étienne-Émile Baulieu helped develop the oral drug RU-486, also known as mifepristone, which has provided millions of women across the world with a safe and inexpensive alternative to a surgical abortion. Dr Baulieu died at his home in Paris on Friday, his widow confirmed in a statement. Simone Harari Baulieu said: "His research was guided by his commitment to progress through science, his dedication to women's freedom and his desire to enable everyone to live better and longer lives."

Oh, what BS is this "his dedication to women's freedom and his desire to enable everyone to live better and longer lives"? When Baulieu started out he had no flippin' idea that RU486 would end pregnancy but it was an accidental discovery. These Leftist historical revisionists are in for the surprise of their lives when I destroy the Abortion Pill (mifepristone) this year and LEGALLY not VIOLENTLY. Stand by for action, folks.

#7, what’s wrong with calling them “babies”? There are a whole lot of people who have no idea what “gestating” means.

The abortion pill sometimes prevents conception, and sometimes prevents implantation after conception. The latter causes an abortion. I hope all the unborn souls in heaven get to ask him why he did this.

Donald Trump was not given a heads-up about Ukraine’s unprecedented drone strikes that took out a huge fleet of Russian planes on Sunday, according to reports. Ukraine’s “large-scale” drone attack launched deep into Russian territory wiped out 40 military bombers and targeted five bases, Ukrainian security sources told CBS News. The attack took over a year and a half to plan and was personally supervised by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, the sources added. Ukrainian officials did not give the Trump administration advance notice of the attack, both Ukrainian and U.S. officials told Axios.

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) threw a fit last week when she was asked about a recent focus group survey in which Democrats are defined as "sloths" and "tortoises," as well as "deer in the headlights," when compared to Republicans, who were viewed by voters as "lions, tigers, and sharks." She was dismissing what the voters were thinking. That's the real problem with the Democrats. - they're not listening or caring about what the voters want or what they are thinking. All the Democrats are thinking about is their power. That focus group of voters wasn't good for the Democrats.

Webb also noted that while it might be cliché, the Democrat Party left her and “no longer” represented her values. “While it’s cliché, it’s true: I didn’t leave the party — the party left me,” Webb said in a statement. “The Kentucky Democratic Party has increasingly alienated lifelong rural Democrats like myself by failing

Prices barely climbed in April, pulling the annual rate of inflation down toward the Federal Reserve’s two percent target, even while personal income climbed at a rapid rate. The personal consumption price index climbed 0.1 percent in April, the second month in a row in which consumers got relief from inflation that had plagued the economy throughout the Biden administration. In March, the index showed prices were flat. Compared with a year ago, prices are up just 2.1 percent. That just one-tenth above the two percent rate of inflation the Fed says it targets.

House Republicans likely dodged a political bullet when they opted against including tax hikes on the wealthy in this year’s reconciliation bill. Trump promised his voters across-the-board tax cuts while campaigning, but once confronted with the difficult math of paying for his expensive agenda, the president — and some members of the GOP caucus — began to wobble. So long as Senate Republicans stick with their colleagues in the lower chamber and avoid adding tax hikes to the “big, beautiful” bill, they’ll avoid paying a steep political price at the ballot box.

Media figures seem to have settled on two big excuses for how they "missed" the Biden senility "story." The first reason is that a small group of highly placed White House sources kept telling them that Biden was just fine, and the second is that "groupthink" blinded them to what was right before their eyes. Everybody said the same thing, and hence everybody started seeing the same thing. Groupthink is a real phenomenon. Once you have a few people say something is so, the tendency for others to follow even when it doesn't accord with their senses or experience gets greater and greater.

The Supreme Court ruled Friday that President Donald Trump can terminate the protected status of around 500,000 immigrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela while an appeal of the president's order is still pending. Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, in a scathing dissent joined by Justice Sonia Sotomayor, said the majority of the Supreme Court "has plainly botched" its assessment in granting a stay of a lower court ruling that had blocked the terminations ordered by Trump on his first day back in the White House. Until that order, the group of immigrants who had left their home countries because of conflicts there, or unsafe living or working conditions,
Goodbye Tariffs? 7 replies

Big news yesterday and today on the tariff front. Yesterday, the U.S. Court of International Trade ruled that President Trump’s “Worldwide and Retaliatory Tariffs” and “Trafficking Tariffs” on goods from Mexico and Canada exceed the authority delegated to him by Congress. The administration immediately appealed that ruling, and today it was stayed by the Federal Circuit pending further litigation. So the tariffs remain in place, for the moment. The Constitution gives Congress, not the president, the power to “lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises,” and to “regulate Commerce with foreign Nations.” By statute, Congress has delegated some of that authority to the president.

ey Newly declassified documents from a 2019 FBI analysis released on May 28, 2025 show that Nellie Ohr allegedly “knowingly“ provided false testimony under oath to Congress about her actions related to the Crossfire Hurricane investigation. Ohr was a Fusion GPS contractor who provided research and intel in the Crossfire Hurricane investigation. Senator Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, played a central role in pushing for declassification of the analysis. An analysis of the documents concluded that Ohr’s statements obstructed congressional investigations and violated federal statutes 18 USC §1001 (false statements) and 18 USC §1505 (obstruction of proceedings before departments, agencies, and congressional committees).
