White House: U.S. Announces
China Trade Deal in Geneva

Original Article

And, there it is: we have a trade deal! The White House just announced that the United States has secured a huge trade deal with China. This very well could mean that the trade war with China is coming to an end. In other words, the tariffs worked, as President Trump promised! Negotiations were held in Geneva this weekend between U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer, and Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng.

Comments:

Looking forward to reading the agreement. Hopefully there is a verify ala Reagan policy in the details.

It is not a trade deal. White House gave incorrect headline.

#2. That’s what they do because that’s all they have. I’m glad to see a trade deal. I didn’t expect one nearly as soon.

Just send any ‘l-l-b-k’ to Geneva for a dinner meeting, preferably in the rain in winter, when finally at the Lodge at the top of the very narrow winding mountain road in Vivey, the rain has turned to a beautiful winter wonderland overlooking Lake Geneva with the rain now snow in the glistening lights, while you sip fine Champagne from France… the deal will be done! Let the details be revealed before revelling in the trade deal. Trust the CCP with a grain of salt. Trust but verify, bigly at that.

The devil is in the details. I fully expect a let down, so am not celebrating yet. But there was perhaps progress. PDT is not the type who will give away the store to the Chicoms. But above posters are right. Expect the MSM to sift through and pick negative points.

Whether by accident or design, the sequence of prior events should have optimized Trump's negotiating leverage with the ChiComs...so maybe he did pull it off. Consider that he first traded hard with close allies (Canada and Europe), online for all to see, for weeks, before he went to the mat with the ChiComs. That way, they knew he was not bluffing. Sounds like a good strategy to me.

President Trump is set to make a big change! He’s looking to appoint FBI Director Kash Patel as the acting head of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), sources say. Patel is expected to be sworn in next week. The move follows Attorney General Pam Bondi’s firing of ATF’s general counsel, Pamela Hicks. Why was she fired? She was accused of “targeting gun owners.” Yep, that sounds on brand for the ATF. The Swamp keeps shrinking by the day!

Republican presidential candidate Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis suggested former President Donald Trump should be removed from the GOP primary if he is convicted in any of the cases against him. “Do I think somebody under those circumstances could get elected president? The answer is no,” Mr. DeSantis told MSNBC's "Morning Joe" on Thursday. “That will not happen. I think that Republican voters will understand that as we get closer to voting. But it is—it would be fatal in a general election, and I don't think the party should—should nominate in that situation.”

In this episode of Al Sharpton: Race-Hustler Extraordinaire"... First, the facts: In January 2025, President Cyril Ramaphosa signed South Africa’s Expropriation Act 13 of 2024. It allows expropriation (seizure) of land without compensation. The law mandates “just and equitable” compensation in most cases, with judicial oversight for disputes. Ahh, "equitable." As we've learned all too well, for the Democrat Party, "equity" — along with "inclusion" — doesn't mean to the left what it means to the rest of us, or what it means in the dictionary. In the wake of South Africa's Expropriation Act, the Trump administration announced plans to bring more than 50 white Afrikaners to the United States, starting on Monday,

A penalty was imposed against Alvarado on Friday for committing the Class 3 violation and he was hit with a fine equating to 10% of his $310,000 winnings, the statement said. The fine was then doubled “pursuant to an

The Biden administration claimed to have added almost 400,000 jobs from July through September of last year, but new data released this week suggest none of those jobs ever existed. Despite constantly gaslighting by the mainstream media, Americans knew the economy was in poor shape and these latest numbers prove it. Month after month, the government bean-counters under former-president Biden published overly optimistic estimates for everything from job growth to the size of the economy, only to have those numbers routinely—and quietly—revised down later. Every month, the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) produces estimates for the number of nonfarm payrolls in the country,

It’s a fool’s game to try to predict President Trump’s audacious new moves. Tommy Vietor was the latest to learn this. He posted that it was “really scary” that hostilities between India and Pakistan were escalating and that Trump was “completely asleep at the wheel.” Twelve hours later Trump announced he’d mediated a peace deal between the two countries. In Lebanon he has acted to substantially cut off Hezb’allah’s supply and revenue sources, making it more likely that country’s civilian government will be able to reassert control and enhance the peace of the area. Just yesterday, I wrote about Britain’s decline as its embrace of unlimited immigration from Third World (mostly Muslim) countries and its commitment to the insane Net Zero carbon dioxide metric are leading it toward a Muslim-controlled polity and a pre-modern energy infrastructure. Today, I awoke to two more reports about Britain’s decline, this time related to speech and self-defense. These reports matter because the leftist British approach to governance is what the Democrat party desperately wants to see in America. The first story comes from The Telegraph, Britain’s (slightly) right-of-center outlet, and its title says it all:
