Canada held elections on Tuesday, and in a stunning development, Justin Trudeau's Liberal Party completed the comeback. While the conservatives did make gains compared to the last decade, left-winger Mark Carney will remain prime minister, and the bill is about to come due.
After suffering under years of Trudeau's disastrous leadership, Canadians had a chance to change course. Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre, who was the odds-on favorite to win the election just a few months ago, had promised to lift his nation out of its decline, promoting personal and economic freedom.
The choice should have been clear. Instead, the voters of Canada decided that what they needed

This is exactly what my Canadian relatives wanted. It's all on them. Elections have consequences.

Congress should place a limit on Canadian immigration. Limit the amount of Canadians that can live in individual states. Let the Canadians live in Mass, Maine, Vermont, NY state, Illinois, Washington state, Oregon, Hawaii and Californistan. Let Canadians make the reliably Blue states bluer. Canadians will soon be like biblical locusts migrating from the land they destroyed to a new land to destroy. Let them join with their kindred spirit Americans to continue the destruction of blue states and leave the rest of us the Hades alone. Better yet, prevent Canadian immigration and let the Canadians move to the new IslamoEurope continent. They will love that LGBTQMS-13 tolerance there.

Canadians did what those who live in cities and some states here have done for decades or for even over a century. They keep voting for the same party that has created all the problems expect things to change simply because the person running has a different name. What's the definition of insanity again?

FTA: "I understand that President Donald Trump's "51st state" trolling and his tariff policies helped push a wave of nationalism that Carney took advantage of. I just don't care. Voters are supposed to be adults who make rational decisions. They aren't supposed to vote to further destroy their nation because another country's president made fun of them."
I couldn't agree with this statement more. In our own case, I think the Startled Possum Biden regime was a necessary interlude for making Trump who he is today, but alternative realities are very hard to conjure. It will be interesting to see how the Canadians get on; they do seem to be a nation of Dim-like people, holier than thou in their fervent belief that they are saving the planet and rectifying all the wrongs of history, including and back to Adam and Eve.

It’s unfortunate for those who didn’t vote unicorns and rainbows. Guess they’ll have to move to Alberta.

I’m not so sure the election wasn’t stolen. Leftists of all stripes believe the ends justify the means and guess which party counted the ballots and CONTROLS the media.
Who said “You can vote your way into socialism but you have to fight your way out”?

As the “glorious “ Senator Al “pothole “D’Amato said , “ The voters have spoken , now they must be punished “.. Good and hard
… about VSGPDJT’s call to annex northern blobs of land ..it’s exactly what the xicoms are threatening SKorea and Taiwan with in real time .I see it as a warning to them. Just like the critical Panama Canal we are paying and paying to protect them with nothing tangible ..like the Uke’s useless nasty war ..at least rare earths are helpful ..5 D chess indeed by a master

Canadian voters have a tendency toward herd behavior. With the good help of the CBC, if a particular line of thought resonates among a core voting block it spreads quickly. This is how Canada elected two Trudeaus. Both times there was buyer's remorse. And here they go again, this time with a Carney.

In 2018 and 2019, I had to fly through Toronto on a couple of trips. It’s a long story, but it will suffice to say that the experience was bad enough that I vowed never to set foot in Canada again. They don’t like Americans, and most of them are typical ignorant liberals. The author of this article is correct: they’ve got it coming, in spades.

There's little the rest of Canada couldn't fix that's wrong by declaring the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) to be a separate country. Get rid of the GTA and Poilievre would win in a landslide. And yes, there was chicanery -- in Poilievre's own riding, a "non-partisan" group forced the ballot to have 91 choices, with Poilievre buried in the middle. Allegedly, the same group wanted to pull the same stunt in Carney's riding, but they filed their paperwork too late. Right...
The vote itself indicated that well-off baby boomers -- people with paid-off mortgages, inflated home equity, and generous pensions and who are far more insulated from inflation than younger generations -- had TDS as their biggest issue and tilted the election to Carney. In essence, they threw their kids and grand-kids under the bus. Their kids -- who did not vote for Carney -- deserve better, and will probably find it by leaving Canada and their parents behind.
Some of those young Canadians may seek refuge in the US, and I wouldn't have a problem with them coming here. I would have a big problem with any and all Carney voters, and would certainly seek to limit their numbers and the locales where they roam according to the suggestions of #2.

#11: I don't understand your worry. The Canadian "snow-birds" who are planning to sell their properties in Florida were most likely Carney voters. They caterwauled about selling their homes in Florida and never coming back. My view of it is a good news and bad news scenario. The good news for the Canadians is that they will sell their Florida properties for top dollar, as people are still piling into Florida from across the US and around the world. The bad news for the Canadians? Nobody in Florida will miss them. Adios, Carney-voting Canucks! If we knew you at all, we regret it now...

If I had to vote for a Carney it would've been Art.
And.....I definitely do not want to read news reports in which Canadians are whining about their lost freedoms. They DID have another choice, after all.

I spent the winter in Florida at a place that unfortunately had a bunch of leftist Canadians wintering there also. I could see this Canadian election result coming from miles away. Most of them were complaining about Trump. We tried to explain Trump’s negotiating methods to them, but they were uninterested in hearing about it.
You know, Hitler and all.
They really are unhinged like most democrats, and they speak in some sort of pidgin English. Aye?
Let them enjoy their political choice.

The PARASITIC nature of the Quebequoise has spread like a virus to the other popualtion centers. Suckling on the teat of government is addicting, methinks!
They have what they voted for, I hope they are prepared for the consequences when America will no longer foot their bills.
