There is a cancer in America’s military ranks, and it must be expunged before it’s too late. That cancer lies in uniformed service members’ widespread rejection of the uniquely American concept of civilian control of the military and disregard for the absolute necessity that America’s military officers remain apolitical in the face of the constitutional will of the electorate. Recent events reveal this cancer,... [Snip] I have heard from some anti-Trump officers that it is acceptable for them to challenge Trump and be “disloyal” to him on political matters... [Snip] The trends we are seeing feel dangerously close to an embrace of 1970s South American-style military juntas.

The rat scum from before BO was the splinter, BO and Biden were the infection. The public can understand reluctance to obey a rat like Clinton, BO or biden, but opposition to President Trump because of a leftist mindset, which is anti-American, is something else. A high profile prosecution and punishment for someone like Milley over his collaboration with Communist China, would set a great example. Let us start with him and see if that sends a strong enough message to other leftist hacks.

We had to obey Klintons orders the whole time he was president. Nobody was particularly happy about it and we frequently griped (which is a GI's inalienable right) but we always carried the orders out, no matter how stupid they were. I cant even picture anyone not doing that. Either this article is exaggerated, or things have indeed fallen.

When did this cancer first appear and why was it allowed to metastasize.
Decent Officers should have nipped this in the bud immediately.
IMO that is the problem, the officer corps, of the democrat run military don't have a decent officer corps.

To be accurate, there was at least one general officer who made disparaging remarks about Bill Clinton at the time. In 1993, Air Force Maj Gen Harold Campbell had been heard in official remarks as calling Bill Clinton a 'draft dodging', 'dope smoking', 'skirt chaser--all true, by the way. Campbell was reprimanded and fined $7,000 before he retired.

If you don't like the way the military is run, either get out or stay in long enough to achieve command level. If there is a problem now it can be traced directly to the pusillanimous people that Biden put into positions for which they were unfit.

Why did these people enter the military? Civilians have always commanded the military. Members of Congress and the President determine when and how the military are used. The President isn't called the commander and chief for nothing.

The first word that came to mind as I started reading this was DEI. It is the most toxic, insidious thinking to infest our institutions from schools, colleges, professions, corporate bodies and of course military institutions. It is nothing but a tool of social engineering designed to accumulate political power through divisiveness. It’s not just the officer corps but entire society where this cancer must be fought and ruthlessly cleaned out. Can you imagine if this had continued for four more years??

While civilian control has allowed corruption of the military, allowing the military to be in charge of itself, with military officers in charge is completely incompatible with a democratic form of government.
Allowing the Left to corrupt the government is the problem. We have paid a huge price for the Clintons, Obamas, and Bidens. We are fortunate to have Trump and a renewed civilian leadership. The Left is screaming about their loss of control but they are being ripped out by the roots. They would not find it so easy to rebuild the corrupt organizations that took decades to establish. Further, the trust in the dems, the government bureaucracy and the media is gone. That would be very difficult to rebuild.
I think, with some success from Trump's efforts and cleaning out some of the cheating infrastructure, it is likely that the next president will be a Republican. It's harder to see what the Congress will turn out like. That could impede further progress but hopefully block back sliding. While many see the jury is still out on Trump it is clear that the dems are NOT thought of well. Trump/Republican success, that most people can personally feel, will be the best campaign for midterms and beyond.

The best solution to such a problem is not simply purging them from the ranks but in execution by firing squad, especially for flag officers who refuse to obey their civilian leadership. They swore an oath to support our Constitution, which is the genesis of civilian control of our military. Just as there are severe enhanced punishments for police officers who commit a crime "under the color of law," there should be capital punishment for 0-7 through 0-10 (senior most) military officers refusing or conspiring to refuse to honor the cornerstone basis of our military leadership. Milley comes to mind, as his actions regarding Trump 45 and Communist China bordered on treason, as defined in 18 U.S. Code § 2381.

Going to have to be a real cleanout of the folks who learned the evil DEI crap that the service academies have been pumping for years. A huge swath of the current junior office corps is now suspect as infilatrators and potential traitors.
Hellish, but MUST be ruthlessly cleaned out.

IMO, this speaks first and foremost to both the lack of civics education of our young men and to the more recent policy of allowing the recruitment of illegals.

There is no room for insubordination in the commissioned officer ranks when it comes to the civilian Commander in Chief and other high ranking civilian appointees in the Department of Defense. I think Trump figured that out fast when he allowed retired general officers to join his first administration.

Of the officers listed in the article who were relieved of duty since the inauguration, two thirds were women. Yet, women make up under seven percent of flag officers.

World War II was America’s last victory. Every war thereafter was nothing more than a slow motion surrender.
We may be finally at the point where we have a military that can do the job quickly and win.

I think Hegset is well on his way to fixing this problem...recruitment is up...love of country is showing it's head at every turn...and the few left over DEI.trans officers can be dealt with through the system....so take heart folks...Pete Hegset will fix it and make our military something to proud of....it's scary when you think how close our country came to being destroyed by BarackHUSSEINObama from the inside...May he rot in hell.....

THIS. The Army especially has been filled with women, many unmarried with kids, who are liberal or even woke. DEI made sure many have climbed into the middle or even higher rank officers too. I am not saying all women in the military are like this but there has been a huge influx of baby mommas into our military and don't for one second think they left their self serving interests and politics behind when they signed on the dotted line or even when they got deployed.

Obama put all officers out of the military that said they would refuse to fire against the American population. Biden installed civilians that were not qualified to be in office that could not effectively lead. General Milley called Russia when the Jan 6 incident was in progress to tell them that Trump could possibly remaine in office. That was a treasonious act. We need a strong Army that is loyal to the command and true soldiers. The officers can refuse to take an order if it is not a lawful order all other orders must be obeyed without question.

IMHO, Obama started this. I believe he is a communist and believed the way to install a communist state here is to sow discord in the officer ranks to start and finish off the rest over time through breakdown in adherence to the doctrine of military chain of command from the president on down. Biden wasn't running the government, Obama was so that's why we have DEI, CRT, trans, and disloyalty.

If I recall correctly, during his eight (twelve if you count the time he controlled the HairSniffer's puppet strings) Zero purged many good officers from the military and promoted in leftists to replace them.
Based on what I read about the actual guys who are sent into combat showing enthusiastic support for President Trump and DefSec Hegseth, I have the gut feeling that the bulk if the 'Massive U.S. Military Resentment' is among those brought in by Zero, known by the actual fighters as "Rear Echelon MF'ers".
Clearing them out and replacing them with patriotic personnel is a good thing, and a vital thing if and when the Military is called on, on short notice, to move fast and hit our enemies hard.
We should all do what we can, each in our own way great and small, to support President Trump and SecDef Hegseth.

Take the military back to the days and ways of Gen. "Blackjack" Pershing in WWI. They'll learn pretty quick what matters most in the military... and it ain't YOU!

The significance of this commentary cannot be stressed enough to the point of encouraging patriot Americans, military or not, to read it for an insight into what President Trump and his administration are encountering in an effort to protect and preserve the heritage and security of this country. ~ Without a strong, patriotic military, the words of Albert Einstein become haunting: “I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.”
